I went to a high end restaurant last night with 3 of my friends. Someone ordered us 4 double shots $50 each to our table. Then we went to a club and the worker told us he is getting us a table and bottle. My friends and I have pretty privilege.🥂

I get approached a lot, whatever I do with my face to seem unfriendly. Even when I'm with my son (and my baby daddy).
For the context, I dress casually, don't wear mini skirts or provoking cloths. Minimalist makeup, sometimes a red lipstick.
And let's just say it for what it is: it's nice to get so much attention but in family settings, it can be disturbing because you are approached by married guys or guys in relationships, even when their GF are around without you even being flirty or looking provoking.
The attention I'm talking about is the "you are a beautiful woman and certainly a 304 so I can have fun with you" attention from men and it's not always flattering both for me or their GFs / wives.
I don't know why men always presume beautiful women deserve less respect. But it's the feeling I have.
They are very comfortable behaving like that, chasing after me for long periods.
So sometimes, you have to dim this light because when you do put an effort into your appearance like other people, you shine even brighter and it gets worse and all the attention is on you. You just outshine everyone in the room and nobody teaches you how to deal with men's attention or women's animosity.
And once again, it's not the respectful attention you would think could go with beauty.
As a beautiful woman, you have to go with the humbling tactics men use on women or the Devaluation. It's like a never ending fight to prove your value.
It's a very lonely experience I'm still learning to manage although I'm greatful for who I'm and would never be someone else.

@@ExoticalsUnited hi I just realised your photos seem to have a COQUETTE theme and I like that feminine style bows & pearls etc. I'm into the minimalist look as I'm surrounded by male centered girls that over do the glam look & I do my best to show simple beauty as I don't want to seem drag queen like them.
I also can relate on how religion mutes the way I display my body but I found few aesthetics I fit into plus I love classic beauty of old Hollywood ladies = sensual & decent is my image as I don't want to appear cheap sometimes I spoil myself with a high fashion item....

There are lots of studies showing that pretty people are perceived as being more competent. I feel that this isn’t just associating positive looks with positive attributes. As you say quite often, it takes discipline and a consistent routines in beauty hobbies and other things to be pretty. At some level, people are presuming that pretty people will bring that same drive to the task at hand.

I feel I experience a mixed bag. Almost every day someone compliments my hair or what I’m wearing. I have gotten out of tickets. When I was younger I was approached for modeling by multiple people & acquaintances. Strangers have helped me out of nowhere but then there have been times where I have been treated poorly.
I’m pretty but not stunning. I come from a family of pretty women. I get looked at more when I lost 140lbs+. I still am practicing a healthy & more active lifestyle & still working on my physique.
I’m not ethnic. I’m middle eastern & was made fun of in elementary school for having body hair. The standard in the 1980s & 90s was blonde hair, blue eyes. 👀 i think in the middle to late nineties they started embracing a variety of beauty. But growing up exotic in a white close minded middle class society was hard.

You should definitely make a video on the regional differences in beauty! Like a New York 10, Miami 10, Salt Lake 10, what attractive in the south vs in the north etc
I think one thing that pretty girls can do to maintain their status is try not to be labeled as the pretty girl with the nasty attitude that makes people get tired of you and leave. Be pretty and nice so it makes the non pretty girlies mad because then they have nothing to say about your personality. We need to change the pretty but bad attitude aesthetic to the pretty and nice so that you can remain blameless.
I understand what you mean. I have been like that all my life and I am starting to question it. The thing is, when you are beautiful and friendly, nice etc, people may try to use you, or they hate you even more because like you said you are nice, it's even more annoying to them. You have everything, you are pretty and adorable as well. It can be too much for them to accept

I now have the handsome auntie privilege 😂! When I was younger I got hated/preyed on constantly but now I get pretty privilege while not being a threat or target of most men’s attention.
People help me all the time, take me seriously, give me gifts, etc. Plus my voice must reflect that because I’m much better at negotiating with reps on the phone.
It’s pretty nice. But I’m not picked for acting/modeling roles like the younger beauties are. Maybe it’s time for some tweakments….

I’m shy too but I try to remember that most people don’t know that, so appear the way you want to be perceived. Pretend to be outgoing (when necessary) because people don’t know that you’re faking it. You also get away with being shy as a pretty woman because people perceive it as being cute and feminine instead of weird and too awkward (speaking from experience).
