Hey Rich - I've watched those blowups at least 10x! What a rush watching that topwater bite. Must have been a shock to see all that action just feet in front of you! I live in CT and in the process of buying a condo in New Port Richey on a canal just about a mile from the Gulf. Can't wait to get out in a kayak to explore! Hey, I saw your 'river monster' video where you caught that huge jack and I saw something very dangerous. You had the lanyard for the fish grips around your wrist, if a shark came up and grabbed the fish you'd go over in a second. Take the lanyard across the back of your hand and loop it around your thumb so if something happens it just slips off your thumb and doesn't drag you in.

Good tip, work that popper way harder if you want a monster to destroy it. I was in a school of small jacks and I could see some huge ones under them so I made a bomb cast and I worked the popper so hard and made such a huge splash and instantly hooked up on what would have been my biggest jack ever but it was so hard to keep out the current and snapped me off. Try that
