Meanwhile…… “The Dude” and his $500 civic with 200k drives by laughing his ASS OFF!!!!!!!
Old Civics are mini tanks
Id want to know where he found a decent running civic for 500. Lol
@@johnnyringo4463I got one, a 2000 for $800, had to fix some details but it was cheap, I already put 10k miles on it lol
@@johnnyringo4463clear coat shot or some relative, stranger or friend that wanted to unload a vehicle quick. Free ( good runners) and less than $500.00 rides can still be gotten.
Why would he, the civic has tie rods too. I bet those tierods were replaced sometime before 200k
I've been a mechanic over a decade i have seen everything there is when it comes to steering component failure. This is a first and honestly i hope fca steps in with a recall. A knuckle fracture on a minor fender bender is a pretty serious defect imo
It was in an accident that’s why it broke
Who knows if this Jeep didn't side swap a curb or something else beforehand.
when the same part with the same size changed from cast iron to cast aluminum, no wonder.
Insurance companies just total everything nowadays anyway, they rarely fix anything anymore
There's nothing like mass confusion where that car was to go. Thank goodness you have patience. Thank you for sharing!😊
Great job Dustin, I would be very happy to have you as an employee.
$100.000.00. 😮 that’s what ya get these days.
I absolutely respect how calm you are, especially in what must be a very high pressure situation for a customer, i.e. their new and very expensive vehicle has just shit itself in the worst possible way. I understand why people get a bit flustered as to where things go after an accident, but I wish they'd remember you do this every day and if you make a suggestion it's probably worth paying attention.
Anything man made can and will break. Great video
Especially when it hits a parked car lol
It's a Jeep thing 😅
Love your videos so much man. Been towing for 3 years now and feel like I’ve learnt more from you then I have on the road. Keep it up man.
Thank You! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
Holy cow the car remote looks like a flip phone from the 90’s😝 scary that that happened though😳
Tow truck operator from Beaumont here. Have learned from your videos. Keep it up
That’s awesome! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
Fasten Seat Belt will HELP release Park Brake
Finally, someone filling the void in my RUclips life that Nick Mordaunt left when he stopped posting lol. Your videos are really cool!
Thank You! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
That Wagoneer breaking a tierod in the middle of the road is a lesson in unexpected challenges. Stay prepared on the road!
The 2023 Grand Wagoneer has a curb weight of 7800lbs. Drill baby drill!
Coming up to the intersection of two highways, I see the snowplow did a sloppy job, the right lane has a snow pile.
I can't change lanes or slow down so POOM!, snow flying everywhere.
Six months later I smelled something burning, took my Jeep to the mechanic and sure enough, the whole right front suspension needed to be replaced.
I'm just glad I figured it out before it came to this.
4:17 oohh, bike cop! Love the moto units.
You are amazing at what you do love to see ur videos
Thank You! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
It’s always something with those stupid overrides 😂
Wow Dustan I know she was annoyed but come across as a bit rude, didn't trust you much at all. Another great job. Stay safe see you on the next one 😊
The tie rod is fine..the dang ol knuckle broke!
Keep up the good work
Thank You!
WOW the new one's ant as good as the older ones I have a 1991 jeep with over 500-000 miles on it I have not had to do. Much to it 😜. nice work looking good 👍👍👍👍👍😊
I’ve had many jeeps myself, but I’m sure they would all take some damage if you hit a parked car.
Sorry dumb me missed it had hit another car 😞
Wow, that motorcycle cop (Mendoza) illegally arrested someone last year for recording at a traffic wreck. He was reprimanded and put on leave. The other officer later resigned. Brutal arrest and use of force.
You felons have a tight network.
I love the music and all of the videos
Thank You!
nice video!
Thank You!
IG was a very good job
Feel the stress of buying a $100k vehicle you can not (or should not) afford!
$90k?! J.U.N.K.
(Just Understand (I'm) Not Kidding)
You have to turn the screw and pull the cord at the same time
Nice police bike 🏍
Congratulations rookie you did a good job this time soon I'll be able to upgrade you to trainee😅😅
😂
Guess he could use a tie rod specialist, like a tailor of sorts. Maybe… Tyrod Taylor? Alright, alright, fine. I’ll show myself out
Breaking a tie rod in the middle of the street is a very bad day, Dustin what are the tow laws in your state when it comes to the lighting on tow trucks, was this a rotation tow or was it a customer call it sounded like the customer was confused where it would be towed to
Like I said in the video, I was called by the police department.
Normally it goes to the yard, but they wanted it to go straight to a body shop, but had to find one that would take it on short notice.
@@Towtruck_Dustin what I know is that body shops usually want a advance notice or a heads up that there vehicle is coming in there shops do body shops have limited space for storage to hold customer vehicles
I heard the neutral shift on the f150 with the dial shifter is at the transmission under the truck, is that accurate?
The electric shift F150’s have a shift lock release at the bottom of the dash
❤❤
Changing a shop because they cant repair the vehicle directly? Here all shops currently have a waiting time of at least 2 weeks.
They shouldn't be selling them if they can't fix them in a timely manner... they supposed to be up to the Wagoner standards... which are lacking
@@daewooparts im not only talking about dealerships, even independent small shops have waiting times like this.
Was this vehicle damaged in an accident or did it just have a part failure that caused the tie rod to let go???
He explained that it was in an accident.
There was no damages
They hit a parked car
The parts failure was the unit between the seat and steering wheel.
😂😂😂@@brianleeper5737
wht's a wagoneer? Looks like a jeep
When you tow cars in the future can you say which vehicle is one two or three especially in a wreck
I feel this one was pretty obvious, is it hit a parked car.
What caused it to break?
He explained that it was in an accident.
It's made by Chrysler
As explained throughout the video, They hit a parked car.
As explained throughout the video, They hit a parked car.
its stellantis products. Its normal
To break after hitting a parked car? I’d say that’s normal for anything
Makes me trust "unproven" Cybertrucks steer by wire system far more than Jeep Wagoneer mechanical steering system.
Because it broke after hitting a parked car?
I noticed the motor officer at the 3 minute mark has been on RUclips a lot.
I’ve worked quite a few wrecks with him.
Not using body hooks but using old out dated hooks
What are you talking about? I’m using all brand new equipment.
Would of move the other wheel manually
how the heck did you pull out of there after dropping the vehicle off
Carefully lol
Tips for new drivers?
You’ll develop your share of short cuts and bad habits, but always use 4 points of securement.
I thought in a rotation accident you have to take it to impound? Why did this one go to a body shop? I must have missed the answer on the video
The only department we tow for that requires the casualty go to the yard is the Sheriff department. Any other department allows us to take it to a place of the customers choosing.
Must have not enabled Lane Assist or Blind Spot detection
Ty rod broke driving down the road?
As said in the video, they struck a parked car.
American vehicles are not built with quality in mind anymore
They score higher many times for reliability than some German cars.
Exactly!!
Jeeps are overpriced junk!!
@@rickymauritz652 Yet you still are just crazy about your Saturn.
It hit a parked car… anything would have failed with that kind of hit.
Looks like the tie rod is fine and the knuckle broke. That knuckle must be aluminum to be that fragile.
The tie rod broke after it hit a parked car…
if you look back at the video you can clearly see the tie rod isnt whats broken. There is a chunk of metal still bolted onto the tie rod end. That chunk of metal is the knuckle.@@Towtruck_Dustin
WHy whould people buy overpriced american deathtrap?
✌️👍
Thank You for watching!
100000 dollars for grand wagoneer and you don't have triple a. Broken tie-rod that's ridiculous. No OnStar dam
It was an active accident scene… you don’t call roadside assistance for that.
Rip off. Just because it’s $100,000 doesn’t mean it’s worth a damn
OnStar is for GM vehicles
AAA is useless.
Everyone has a brain dosent mean they are smart or make the correct decisions
Grand wagoneer 100000 dollars . Guess depending on who is driving it. Easy fix.
Look"s like there's no body damage, Just wheel and suspension damage.
It got the bumper a little. They got away without much body damage.
Bdksgjsgeiheijekdhskhsjdhe
Imagine towing a motorcycle
I do it all the time. Have several videos on it too
Those mfers can be very heavy and you'll not be able to push them. Good thing you only need a big van for most motorcycles
Pray to god chryslers can stop being abused
I Hate the electric shift and electric parking brake
It’s nice until rare situations like this.
The pitcher you have on your phone is that your wife or girlfriend just asking
Wife.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Why would it need to go to the bodyshop
Because it was in a collision?
@Towtruck_Dustin I'm saying can't really see any body damage just see suspension damage
Next time buy a lexus lady
It's a FIAT CHRYSLER product. What more could you really expect.
Seriously all jokes aside 🤷🤦♂️
Probably fca worker on strike forgot to finish the job
It struck a parked car?
Why not it's your choice excuse me.
No clue what you’re trying to say.
$80k for that?!
"Its a Jeep thing" LOL. That's a lot of money for something made of Fiat parts
Because it broke after hitting a parked car?
Hu6r
Seriously have mexican commercials now.
$ 115,000 and now it’s fully Inoperable. Stellantis is really Proud of this Overpriced Vehicle which is Why the Price is Higher than GM’s Cadillac Escalade. 🤪👎
It hit a parked car. It wasn’t a parts failure.
@@Towtruck_Dustindon’t try to say anything to these people. 😂 it will never get through.
Might want to dbl check your price. This is a Wagoneer not a Grand Wagoneer. Priced between 60-90. Know your stuff before you say anything.
Ridiculous giant bus car.
No one needs a lump that big 😅
Unbelievable nothing but junk, expensive junk
$correction $123,000
My friend who has a wrecker service will tow any of my vehicles to my place. Yard fees are a criminal rip off.
The fees we can charge, and regulations we must follow, are set by the state, and departments we tow for. The industry is highly regulated. We can only play by their rules.
Sadly true.@@Towtruck_Dustin
Jeep didn't care about this model at all, when thy built it.
Piss poor spindle casting
Because it can’t hit a parked car and not break? lol
That's Fiat quality for ya. You pay for a way overpriced vehicle with subpar parts and most likely made in China.
Because it broke after hitting a parked car?
It was in an accident what are you talking about
Id be pretty upset if I gave that much for a vehicle, then have a mechanical failure like that with so few miles.
They hit a parked car…
Jeep is just "Cheap" nowadays unfortunately.
Golly the trash they make now a days
Another new POS that should be towed to the junkyard instead of the Stealership, utter junk modern Jeep that can't even go down the road nevertheless off road
Craptastic Chrysler product
