Good job brother 👍👍👍
Just a testament to how keeping a rig in good condition, contributes to it starting easy after a bunch of years. Great video boys 👌🏻
I bought a Pettibone telehandler that hadn’t run in 7 years, put a battery in it and it started, four used tires and it is back at work.
Those are nice machines.
Another great video, it's always great to see you and Wiley out here getting the old trucks and equipment started up and running .
Take care and stay safe out there working on the trucks and equipment .
🤗👍❤️💫
Hello my friend i'm Brazilian i Live in ponta grossa paraná i'm always watching your vídeos very cool What you do give life to these abandoned vehicles a hug my friend.
Great video! I agree with the other comment about the jump pack - we need to save on Wiley's back! Thanks for all you guys do - have a great Labor Day weekend!
It's so amazing to see you guys bring these vehicles back to life all the way guys 👍👍💟💯.
Hi you two from England UK, don't see barn find trucks like this one over here !!!!! great video. Love the truck.
Great video guys!! I am a Train fan but I love the KW and Peterbilt Trucks. The C15 came after the 3406. Both the 3406 and C15's are great engines. I love the W9, T800 and T600. Keep these videos coming guys!
Ahhh loved driving those Kenworth t800 Sleeper trucks with those 3406B Cat motors
Good to see you hank an Wiley hope y'all are having a great weekend good luck see y'all in the next videos
Oh how great the sound of those old engines keep up good work
I remember my dad driving an 87 t800 daycab with a cat, and air ride seats. It was used to shuttle drywall, and lumber between lumber yards
He’s right, if it has just the high/low range selector with no splitter on the left, it’s either a 9 speed (also referred to as an eight speed) witch can be easily converted to a 13 speed, witch has the red splitter on the left, giving you the ability to split it only in the high side, but like he said it could also be a 10 speed if it has no splitter on the left. Now there is another Eaton Fuller 10 speed that is called the (supper ten) it has no high/low range selector on the front, but has the gray splitter on the side, that essentially has only 5 gears, 5 shifts, but the ability to split all 5 gears, making it a 10 speed. The 18 speed also has the gray splitter on the left, has the same shift pattern as the 9, 13, and the 8LL, with the high/low range selector in the front, giving you the ability to shift 9 times, and split 9 times giving you 18 speed, with 4 reverse speeds. Eaton also made a 15 speed as well, with the same shift pattern as the 10 speed, but with the blue splitter on the side giving you the ability to split the lower 5 gears, with the high/low range selector in front giving you the ability to shift 10 times, giving you 15 speeds. Eaton makes a transmission called the 8LL, which essentially is a 9 speed that just like the 15 speed has the high/low range selector in front, with the blue splitter on the side, that you normally shift four time’s in low range, four time’s in high range, but also has that low gear for them really hard pull take offs, but you also have that blue splitter that give’s you the ability to have one more lower gear to help and assist on them really hard pulls, giving you 8 forward speeds with double Low Range, so you usually commonly find the 8LL in like Dump Trucks and heavy duty work trucks, the 8LL is not a highway long haul transmission. The 18 speed is the best all around transmission, they have the ability to give you highway miles, and heavy haul capabilities at the same time. I hope this helps you my friend, i love your videos.
It does!! Thank you. Great information 👍
It is only gray wire
I think Hank needs to watch some RUclips videos on how to drive a truck!! Lol
Both videos were great.
Thanks for all your work Wiley and Hank.
The Iowa farm boy.
Nothing like mowing down a tree that grew into the frame. Fun video Hank! 👍😁
thanks for sowing how to start a truck for along time left!
Hi guys I love your channel how bout'cha..lol. you know hank you and wiley should buy a jump pac or 2 there a little bit expensive but they will start a big engine like no ones business..i.also watch the Bruce Wilson and gentry/sons channel and they use jump boxes they are way lighter in weight and poor ol wiley won't have to keep lugging around thoes heavy batteries
We’re looking at some. 👍
Absolutely
Poor old Wiley ..lol
It's making rain.. Nice to see.
You two could start a sand rock. Enjoy watching you two work on these old trucks an thangs.
Good job Wiley. ...you too Hank❤🐘🇺🇸
That's awesome!! Nice old KW too! Ya'll got the magic touch when it comes to these will it starts. 😎 The best "not mechanics" on You Tube....lol 👍😄
Just watched the portion of the video about the White Roadboss i remember when as children (now 58) my late father got a chance to drive one of these trucks here in Australia and he thought he was king of the road in this brand and model of truck
Great video good easy start Hank and Wylie great job
Hank, as an Ag Mechanics teacher several of my students have become hooked to your videos at HF! Todays video ending with your FFA shirt was awesome to see!!
Right on👍 please pass on to them, I’m proud of them and wish them much success in their studies! Thanks for the comment.
Belo caminhão linda máquina gostei passeiro tamo junto gostei do vídeo parabéns belo trabalho gostei do caminhão linda máquina valeu
I have a 88 T800 with the reyco springs and a big cam Cummins, don't see many of them anymore.
Awesome video Hank, that truck fired right up!
2 of the coolest cats on you tube..btw, wiley strikes me as a salty grizzled older man that turned to mush with his grand children...great job guys.
He does!
Enjoyed this video Hank and Wiley as always. This one was quick.
Thank you Terry. Rain makes you work quicker😂
Woo hoo....new video! You guys are awesome!!!!!!
Great video. My youngest son lives there in Panama City near the coast. Keep the videos coming I always look forward to them.
You guys rock ! Fun genuine channel to watch !!! God Bless !
Thank you
rigs amaze me sometimes, like fer example, i dont know if yall saw my vid but i revived my 1974 chevy c30 wrecker that had been sittin 5 er 6 years an it fired right up with a jump pack an some trufuel down the yap, fired right quick like it had just been sittin fer a lil bit, now workin on revivin my 1954 reo cdt with a gold comet inline 6, that ones fightin me a lil bit though
I got a 90 t800 with a 3406 e in it thats been turned up to pull 107000 grain train with, runs good,6 mpg all the time
That's one big power house . That all engine.
You guys are a great team enjoy every video lol !!!! Always an adventure for sure lol
Hey boys that's a 3176 caterpillar not a 3406e it's only a baby 325hp motor 👍
Thanks guys that was great! hey Wally!
Yes self primers refrigerated trailers have self primers too 👍😁
My input is that truck one has a small cam 400 Cummins in it and truck two with the Detroit diesel is not naturally aspirated. All Detroits have a blower in the center of the engine to help push air into the combustion chambers being that they are a 2 stroke engine family
The Cummins slant 6 came in 2 flavors that I know of for sure. An NH250 hp and a NTC230. I drove a '79 Ford 9000 that I assumed had a 270 or 290 as it was turbocharged, but upon cleaning the ID plate discovered it was an NTC230.
Hey guy's I love all of your videos 😊💟💯👍.
Good video Hank and Wiley yall boys make them all look easy
yeah this one wasn't too bad! Thank you for watching!
I watch em all
Some of those trucks had the shifting pattern on the visor and it might be a 13 speed Eaton fuller transmission
Hank wiley you are the best only thing we miss in this video there was no singing hahaha 😆
If it hasn’t been said already that cat is not a 3406 that would be a 3176 or possibly a 3196, you can tell by the air to air pipes are both on the passenger side. Also that truck had a sleeper on it at one point, you can see the back wall is a filler panel (with no interior covering it) and it will has the sleeper mounts on the frame rail about 4’ behind the cab
Thank you Hank ang thanks for your APPRECIATION
Was having wiley withdrawal lol! Yup typical Florida weather,it's raining when the sun is out lol
Pin pout of the rod to go over to the rack on the other side and looks like someone was fixing to pull the 318.
That company is just down the road from my place. Awesome to hear that old rig fire up so easily.
Right on👍
Now ya just showing off guys, was the engine still warm, lol. Another great video bro. Safe travels
Nice clean truck 👍
THANKS FOR VIDEOS. IT IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE.
Thank you for watching!
Another awesome will it start Hank and Wiley you guys are awesome and funny really appreciate you good old boy's 👍
Hi from new Zealand. In my experience with Road Ranger transmissions blue is generally a 15 speed, red a 13 speed but I've had gray, red as well as white. But we're all upside down here so anything's possible 🤣🤣
Hank your right, that is insane.
Great video boys!
🕺🏻🔧⚡️
It’s all about the motor homes! Two of the three easy will it starts in this video had motor homes close to them lol. Love the channel
Lol. True
Howboutcha !! That truck looks better than most on the road here in New England
Yeah it was clean! Thank you for watching
I love ole t800s! RARE!! I see old flat glass w900s every now and then but the t800s are rarer. My previous jobs had some. My first had a 94 my previous had some early 90s one was a 1995 if I remember. I believe it was. Sweet ole rigs love a N14 Cummins in these ones. Just fits with em
My previous towing job had N14 in em and 60 series Detroit diesel
Lol one of the easiest I've seen yet !!!! You guys are awesome 👌
i still think on the detroit that the left bank throttle linkage isnt hooked up to the right bank , you can hear it when it runs that it doesnt pick up as smoothly as detroit's tend to do , it was only running on 4 , i wonder what a half engine runaway would sound like , im surprised wiley didnt figure that one
Excellent video Hank :) & Wiley :) also impressive Desiel motor brands out there and how start up to ! Also one one motor impressed me was was International farm tractors company used in 1960 to 1984 my dad had small tractor to 2 medium size of German Desiel and were Double Displacement types in 4 cylinders with no Turbos ! If saw how get motor say a theif could steal them easy to so fast and is true too!
😁👍
What a classic truck there Love it
Cool video thanks 😊
Thanks for watching!
Buddy at the saw mill had a 'C' and really liked it. The petes I drove had a 'B' and a C-15. I'd rather had the 'B'. I don't like computers but the
C-15 did all right. The 'B' was pout of a wrecked lowboy puller and was RIGHT! That'll be a fine ride. GBWYall!
IF someone would rebuild that old WHITE... IT would be SO darn cool!
9 and 10 speeds have the single splitter like in this video, a 13 speed will have your range splitter like the 10 speed but also have a red splitter on the side, the 15 speeds have a blue splitter on the side and the 18 speeds have a gray splitter.
Hank ,Wiley wonder do u see white yellow tank need fill water..
I like the motorhome. Awesome video Hank
😁🔧👍
The baby purred like a kitten
To me the more miles, tell me its a very good motor in it and still running . Take care guys .
I've driven intra, and interstate. A day cab is alright by me !
Hi great work you are doing bring back life to these master crafts ,, do you guys have come across henney wood mizer mill
Haven't seen one of those. I'd check out Nathan Elliot over at "out of the woods" youtube. he may
good Job
new turbo, filters, oil, greasin etc. be ready to go. blowers always equal supercharged. Basically super chargin is pressurizing the "natural" air charge goin into an engine. Therefore the "super" in front of the air charger equals more cylinder pressure and a more explosive combustion stroke which is why blower engines have lower than normal compresssion ratios...
Good job and God bless yall
Thank you
The original Detroit Diesel engine's (made by general motors called Jimmy's or jimmy diesel etc !!!) Were 2-stroke (2 cycle) engines and to flush out the exhaust gases to let fresh air in the air had to be pressurized,,, hence the need for the blower (gear driven supercharger) so the were called naturally aspirated, the 318 (8V-71) was supercharged but not blown (turbo charged) the 350 Detroit Diesel was turbo charged (blown) so really all Detroit Diesel engine's were supercharged enabled to run naturally aspirated !!! Some were blown (turbo charged) later on they came with bypass blowers to relieve super charger dynamic load witch allowed the turbo boost to bypass the blower.
Hope I've helped you out on this. All the best Sir.
A fella I knew had a big diesel Generator on his service truck to go out and charge batteries for folks wo4rking semi's; retired and still worked 4-5 days a week doing that
2 of my favorite people you guys are funny
Nice rig.
Red 13, gray 18, blue 15 on shifter…
This cat looks and sounds like a 3176 or C12….
Hank, you want to learn what I know about electronic engines... They either start or they don't.
Thanks guys.
I have the same problems with computers and women. They don't want to do what I ask them to or they do exactly what I ask them to.🙄
lol
10 Speed - Range Selector w/o Splitter
Super 10 Speed - Grey Splitter w/o Range Selector
13 Speed - Red Splitter w/ Range Selector
15 Speed - Blue Splitter w/ Range Selector
18 Speed - Grey Splitter w/ Range Selector
Thats all I've learned so far... Just sharing the little knowledge I have...
What part is near mint I don't see it.
18 speed has a grey splitter, 15 has a blue splitter, 13 has a red splitter, super 10 has a grey splitter and no range switch, and a 9 doesn’t have a splitter
The white engine was on a 15 degree angle to get it to fit. Western star carried thru with this design with their big bore Engines until at least 2000 with the short hood conventional. It probably is a 220 Cummins.
Hank the 8v71 has a Blower on it is gear driven.8vs were real work horse. I never worked on an 8v71 with a turbo.
Привіт пацани ідякую за любов до стареньких авто
Hi Hank Just To Let You Know That There Is No Color Code Between The 9 and 10 Speed And You Might Have To Look At The Shift Pattern On The Dashboard
Thanks👍
Yes... It's making oil... 😁 I love it.
Howboutcha Hank, you and Wiley with the will it crank are some of my favorite programs. Keep up the great job 👍
Thank you!
hey i think you need a bigger worcktrack and lowboy. And hamitonwill farm shop .
As a farende mechanic you are unbeatable.
what happened to the crane .
If the crane gets a roof, you could leave it there as a museum.
or inquire at Tirex.
i was gonna mention the colors but i think itd be redundant also the 3406e came out in the early 90s i believe and there actually wasnt many made and there pretty hard to find and expensive cheapest used engine i seen was 12k theres alot of benefits to the 3406e but it can be a headache for the average joe this was a great episode and glad the trucks being repurposed
Need to check your 3 and 5 in your odometer subtitle, they might be backwards. Enjoying videos from nw mississippi.
