A couple of disclaimers I was the Camera Man i am sorry if i made anyones vertigo act up I could not show where i was trying to find the battery box lid that was under my nose because my shirt had rode up and look like i was wearing a backwards halter top. So I sparred all from that Thats what i was talking about when i said i heard someone yelling its right under your nose Thank all for watching. Jacob and i appreciate everyone of you.
You are a great hands on technician admire you for your patience and tolerating the other Hamiltonville farm guy always poking fun at, good health long life .
I bought one of these tractors in Ireland a few years back... it has 98 hours on it only. It was part of a group of 5 whites imported in the late 70s by a local dealer who couldn't find buyers for so they sat in the dealership for years unused. I sold mine on... its in the UK now.
Great job Wiley, you are the man Always look forward to seeing your videos Keep up the great work and as always May Gods Blessings continue to shine upon you and your family
Great video . With some TLC I think could put that ole girl back to work. Motor sounded good. White bought Minneapolis Moline out. Loved that stile of tractor.
Thanks for another great video Wiley. It was interesting. Congratulations on getting the White tractor started. It sounds pretty darn good I believe. Nice work Wiley. Make someone a good unit yet with some TLC. Thanks. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Thank you It would make someone a good project. Service it Do A little cosmetic work on the inside of cab and few minor repairs on the outside and i think that thing would be ready to come out of retirement
Excellent video Wiley :) one neighborhood neighbor late farmer had one this same tractor but year not sure and powerfull tractor also well sounding one ! He used on lots acres big machinery to pull with too! That sharpno stuff is old fuel or dirty fuel injection pump need rebuilt plus injectors need some GM Automatic Transmission fluid in fuel or rebuild motor plus need head gasket to ! Plus need engine rebuilt may have crack in head or block running to cold too need thermostat change plus fuel filters even oil change too! How know this stuff is my late Dad 1978 International 724 B loader Desiel fuel the block had crack in in-between 2 and 3 cylinder also head when notice on rebuild job mechanic say also fuel injection pump needs rebuild to it make injectors slobbering with to much fuel when fire up low idle of 550 RPM to 1500 RPM smoke plus blow carbon chunk out manifold but 1550 RPM to wide open 2250 RPM on 256 4 cylinder Desiel motor Detroit 72 hp hear tapping away too ! Yes Motor block & head be new one add to on second rebuilt plus cost lots money in 1994 but soon done totally rebuilt fuel pump plus injectors on 4 cylinder motor cure!
The 2-135 (2 means 2wd) was made from late 76-87 althought this is an earlier one. They use a 478 oliver-hercules diesel which was in used in some deuce and a halves but they were all-fuel. it's 137 hp i believe. Clearly this ones lived a hard life but almost no hesitation to start. Old olivers and whites can't die. sounded like the parking brake was one still when you tried to drive it.
I was wondering about the hydualics level for the Power Shift. The tractor loaded up slightly, like he was lifting off the clutch. If the power shift fluid was low, would that not leave the tractor stranded. Speaking with limited knowledge from a Cocksutt 1850 and a 1955.
@@jeepanimal2943 It's possible I think (never happened to me), it might also be that whichever range under/over he was in was out. Or it was low on trans fluid and woundnt go into gear right.
I’ve got a 2-85 white field boss. It’s got a Perkins 6 cylinder in it. It hasn’t ran in about 15 years, the clutch was starting to go out in it. Solid tractor though.
Wow that sounded good for the way the rest of the tractor looked! I remember going to the White service training when the 2-135 and 2-155 were released.
Take it easy with that ether. you can ether lock it and bend a rod or worse. I told ya'll on hanks channel and i'll put it on ur too. before u spray the ether. spin it over a couple of cycles with wd40 or some type of lube befor the ether so ur not dry startin it and scrapin those cylinders with dry rings!
I seen a couple of em, very modern for their time. Didn't sell well, were counted too popular at the time, only like donkey toys now compared with wats out there.
Wiley did you ever get your shop back? I watched a video about your old shop you had built and you and hank cleaned it up what ever happened with it? Can you make a video or let us know about it? Thanks brother 👍🏻
Great job Wiley you are right about that for sure always like your show keep up the good work what's going on out at the junk yard did you get all that cleaned up yet just wandering
As loose as that wire was on the pump it makes one wonder if that's why the thing didn't run before?? It did sound pretty good once it was running though despite the 'minor' exhaust leak and shedding of stack internals!! LOL!
Hey Wiley yeah great videos I love the channel but these old Whites were actually manufactured from 1976-1987 and why they stopped I don’t know maybe you can enlighten me thx brother and 1 more thing as a 52yr old black man I love you guys because you actually have ALL people in your videos unlike other RUclipsrs u know what I mean like Vice Grip Garage he NEVER HAS ANY BLACK PEOPLE EVER
Those were a decent engine for the time but did have a fair share of problems they were noted to have ring issues once they got over 3000 hours on them . They were also fuel hogs for the size and power when compared to the IH or Deeres of the time . other issues would overheat on a warm day or in dusty conditions and tractor rear ends were noted for bearings going out and issues with steering

Would they sell that 2-135

not exactly, the 2 just meant non articulating, 2-135 2-155 2-180 could be 2 or 4 wheel drive, 4s are all articulating 4x4

I’ve got a 2-85 white field boss. It’s got a Perkins 6 cylinder in it. It hasn’t ran in about 15 years, the clutch was starting to go out in it. Solid tractor though.

About that wire me too. Little Exhaust leak LOL
Great job 👏
That sure did sound like the good ole 5.9 cummins wiley, I believe that's the engine those tractors came with.
478 cu. Hercules
That's a Hurculies Diesel. Oliver was using them before white bought them out
Thanks for sharing that.
Good dal
The engine is a 7.8 liter white Hercules.
A torque monster
I like old tractors they just don’t die. With a little work they normally bust right off.
Thats so true
It looks to me as if the engine in that tractor is a Hercules 7.8 L and I would guess about 135 hp easily.
White-Hercules engine it was originally Hupp company...you were correct in military type they made over a million motors...
Thank you for sharing that.Wow
Good job Wiley sounds good
Another successful will it start. I've said it before you are the diesel engine whisperer.
Nice work.
Thanks!
Is the tractor for sale?
I am sure they would sell it
Is there a way you could find out how much they want for it and it drives
Kip sigler has the mate to that he’s a you tube farmer might even be interested in that
GOOD ONE
Wiley, that joker runs smooth
Yes it does
I sold white tractors in the late 70s in north Alabama
Thanks for sharing. I wish i had the SN
you might have handled this one
I wanna see these machines leave there graves after all these years
It needs a oil change and filter change
Dang me and that ol tractor are the same age 😂😂😂
Lol
Is it for sale.
Im sure it is
👍👍
Enjoyed your video Wily.
Thanks
wow holy smokes that thing sounds good
Yes it did
It's a 2- 135. 2 wheel drive 135hp. Probably a wakasheau
Yes, White did build some multi-fuel engines for the two and a half ton trucks
Thanks for sharing
👍
What no head liner or seat or radio? It’s junk Wiley 😂😂😂😂
I was told that the 2 stands for 2 wheel drive and 135 horse power.
Thanks for sharing and watching

Hello from Maine….
Howdy from Alabama
I think I saw a red white and blue one on big tractor power video
I figured they might have done that
Perkins 6-354
Those were a decent engine for the time but did have a fair share of problems they were noted to have ring issues once they got over 3000 hours on them .
