It ran for at least 2 hours maybe three and did what it was supposed to do after sitting back there so ling. I agree it needs to be taken care of and a little maintenance on it which is amazing sure they will do. Thanks for watching
Would be a handy thing to have around the place. I remember a similar smaller version in the apple orchards that was basically a ford ag tractor turned around with a mast on the back.
Once again Wiley you have amazed me with your talent and skill Thank you sir for sharing this old ford relic coming back to life Looking forward to seeing your next adventure until then May Gods Blessings be with you and your family always
Amazing start up after setting so long gotta love the old equipment they were built robustly and near bullet proof. Amazing job getting it going..😎🇺🇸👨🔧🚜😇
Thanks for another great video and Wiley. It was interesting and entertaining. That engine is a ford industrial type motor. Quite the old fork lift. Basic machine with basic controls. Sure has got huge extensions on the forks. Surprised you got it to run plus move and operate. The engine runs real smooth. Believe the engine is a good one. With some TLC and fixing it can be useful yet for some one. Good job Wiley!!!!’ Another one you got to run and operate. Thanks Wiley. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I know technology made these things get put in the barn but as far as at a metal fabrication or a mechanics shop you couldn’t beat that. It would run a month on 5 gals if fuel
Looks like a 256CI Ford industrial motor. Before you start it, give it throttle and mash the button in the stop lever on the injection pump. Looks like the date stamp started with a 2 so, 1972 or 1982.
As you were first trying to move it I'm thinking 'there has to be a stuck brake' or worst 'stick axle' because it wasn't even trying to budge. Once that brake was released it was like it was set free and off it went to work!! Maybe could stand a little paint here and there, but it looked to be working pretty well for going straight from nearly abandoned to back to work in such a short time!
I thought to myself there is no way stuck brake would keep it from budging. Just keep working it back and forth my brain was telling me. You were right Best parking brake ever
Whew Wiley too close to the truck ! Great to see it running again and working ! Looks like the fella with the trailer has got a lot of driving to do hope he gets there ok!
Hello wily I said it before I will say it again you and my father are one your right with things made simple no bull simple those guys know the equipment they bought will run forever some spit baling wire your set thank you very much you bring me back to yesterday you bring back memories with my father I thank you
Windham powerlift, Elba Alabama. Before that I believe they where called Powerlift, built in Enterprise Alabama. I have 3 of them myself. 2 are 8,000 and 1 is a 12,000. My 12k has a john deere engine, one of the 8ks has a ford and the other has a perkins. They are great machines and I love seeing yall using one, especially on youtube.
@DontbeWily oh ok. I wasn't sure. I bought the 2 Windhams first then a few years later I ran across the power lift and it looked identical to the Windham, the badges on the hood were even the same size and in the same locations. My Windhams say Windham power lift company on the badges so I just kinda put 2 and 2 together and guessed maybe they started off as power lift. Thank you for sharing your videos and knowledge 😃
Excellent video Wiley :) , Jacob :) oldest Forklift was Farmall (McCormick International) model M basic with wide front end not Row crop but was great Grandfather then his 3 boys used in Top second floor on barn my great Uncle Truman farm plus for Slaughter house lift cows or pigs on pulley system 2 Butcher spots ! Then in 1984 was sold Farmall Forklift to a another famillies business at Slaughter House building then 2010 was sold again not sure it to ! But heard $5.000 went for when my Grandfather sold and next family bought sold for $ 3.200 need new tires plus brakes also clutch I heard and after that about ! I remember my great Uncle Arnold my grandfather Haroold middle brother said that Farmall performance very well and did lots hard work in days they had it never had problems with it!
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness friend but one of those battery chainsaws with the twelve inch bar would be perfect for your situations. I saw you toting the Echo with the Mack video and that's a bit much. Nice to see you cranking on the Fortrrss compressor, God bless harbor freight,
Hello Wily. I am kind of wondering if the rollers inside the track may be worn down to the point that once the mast gets to that certain height that they either pop out of track or maybe the mast is that worn. Even So, That machine is still very handy to keep around. That engine sounds amazingly good to have been sitting idle for so long.
All the pickups need to be way way away from equipment that will if start vlogs, that old equipment has no fillings at all about tearing up a pretty pickup, lol😢thanks buddy BigAl California.
It’s a windham. They once had a facility in Elba where they made them. Not sure they had a dealer network or they just sold them Not disputing about being home made but they massed produced them
I appreciate your comments. I am in no way responsible for that man doing what he did I did not ask him to He was motioning me on what to do. It was not my equipment or sale. I was helping. You do know Hank cut me with a Chain saw 😂
Thank you for watching Hank and I over the past couple of years. I enjoyed working for him Nothing has happened like a a falling out. I just wanted to do something like we did with my Son Jacob. I thank you for watching. I hope you like the videos.
What would these fellows have done if that old high lift wasn’t there or refused to start. You ain’t man-handling that load! Wiley done his part but the loading and makin it fit on the trailer was their problem to solve. 🥸👍👀✅
One of the things I love about old diesels is that they can sit for years at a time and still start right up with a little coaxing.
Thats for sure. Sometimes the hardest part is getting where you can put fire to the starter
Thanks for watching
Love to watch ya Wiley, I'm born and raised in McDowell County WV, but now in Martinsville Va., but we are the same people, keep on keeping on buddy
Some of us Mountaineers refer to Virginia as the mother ship 😊
I have no doubt about being the same people. Thank you for sharing and watching

Timing, fuel, compression! Works every time!
It does. Hard part most of the time is getting fire to the starter
That’s a nice old Massey Ferguson I’ve been looking for one of those for the farm.
I love those old all terrain forklifts. Good job Wily! Thank you for sharing
Thank you and thanks for watching
That forklift is very very old and take care and God bless

What a simple machine. These things were built.

Wily, you need one of these as a general tool like your Crescent Wrench. Just pick stuff up and move it so it's easier to work on 😁
Thanks for sharing and watching
That is outstanding bush craft, you done it without even cutting down a single bush. Great job Wily.

I believe Power Lift in Enterprise built the Viking Log Loader. I remember both companies.
