Great game. My 4yr old loves it. We have a house rule where any clues that are 'on' the thief are placed on the board on their side so we remember which things were on and off
You definitely need three dice for it to work properly. I guess you could take a standard die and have different numbers represent paw prints or the eye? Too bad, this is an excellent goodwill item to find!

I have a PhD, but haven't played this game yet because it's so freaking complicated and the instructions are so bad. This is the third video I've watched, and I just sort of glaze over after a couple of minutes... so much unnecessary complexity. Not your fault at all, it's the game!
