There is also a variation for adults where you can play for points, and another where you shuffle and deal 5 cards to each player. Then the rest of the cards become the draw deck. After you play a card of your choice, draw 1 card to bring your hand back to 5. Such rules were present in the version I own, which has the old rules including the fact you do not slide on your own color, but you do slide on a different color.
I remember the old slide rules. I believe they changed it from "don't slide on your own color" to "do slide on your own color" because they also changed the colors of the slides on the board to have the three colors that do slide on them as opposed to just the one color that doesn't slide on them.
it's a bit sad that the DRAW AGAIN rule on 2 cards are removed - and why Sorry! cards allow a 4-step move instead of some missing number like 6 or 9 is yet to be known
question, if i pull a 1 card & place my pawn 1 space from start then my next turn i pull a move back 4 spaces card , do i return my pawn to start or move backwards 4 spaces on the board?
Haven't the rule changed with the cards? "A pawn can be moved out from Start upon any positive number card" Not just 1,2 or Sorry cards. Even the instructions on the new version say so. My rustic edition says "Any forward-moving card can move a pawn out of its start area."
What happens if I’ve been around the board and I land on my own sliding triangle? Can slide into Safety zone or do I have to slide past my safety zone?

I need help. So I have my pawn at the end of the slide that has my color and I get a backwards 1 from the 10 card. Does the slide I am on count as one move or does the next space behind the bad count as one? Do you get what I’m saying ?
You could switch with a player and the player being benefited and you being off worse, or switch with a player and be benefitted and the other worse, you could split the 7 so you go on a slide or in a home, or just use it in the worse way possible, sure there is luck, but skill plays a equal amount of winning or losing

Sorry is the name of the board game
Thank you for the very straightforward directions for game rules! You made it easy for first time players! We had lots of fun 🎉

@@waltercardcollectorI can understand that.
That sounds much more fun.
One more, if a “sorry” card is a move forward 4, instead of bumping opponent's pawn, you may move your pawn that is in play 4 spaces
Isn't this basically parchis/ludo + candyland?
it's a bit sad that the DRAW AGAIN rule on 2 cards are removed - and why Sorry! cards allow a 4-step move instead of some missing number like 6 or 9 is yet to be known
Because at a glance 6 and 9 are easily mixed up (according to Wikipedia).
What happens when you land on the slide right in front of your safety zone?
It's not your slide because it doesn't have your color.
@@ChwiztidI must’ve not been paying close attention bc we were playing with our kids lol

Hello I notice in your video you did a slide that was not matching the same color as the pawn. Please clarify. Thank you.

wait so you if you get a backward and you're just outside your starting area do you go back in there or move back beyond the start space
Start is a one way gate to the game field (unless one of your pawns gets bumped there)

Chess
Really glad to see they went back to 4 pawns, they were only including 3 pawns for a while.
Please make a "how to play 5 alive" its very underrated
When I played that game as a kid we were NOT allowed to move backwards out of the safety zone.
Yeah I just learned that I didn’t know you could move backwards at all
So they closed the backwards from start to shortcut to home path loophole.
It's still there. You can't go into home by going backward. But you CAN go backward past it. Then on your next forward move go in
This channel gotta reupload every single video with 2024 rules

Playing by drawing 6 cards and forming a hand makes it a lot better.
