The object of the game is to cheat to get ahead fast and to try to catch other players cheating as you try to collect the most properties and money. The game ends with all properties have been purchased and each player has made it back to go. Then the player with the most cash wins. There are very specific ways for how you can cheat, all other forms of cheating are not allowed.
Layout the board and give each player 1500 dollars divided into 2 500s 4 100s, 1 fifty 1 twenty and 3 tens. Players must keep their money spread out in front of themselves and not in a single stack. The rest of the money goes in the bank tray. Put the hotels in the bank tray. Place 1 hotel on Connecticut avenue. That hotel is free for whoever buys the property. Shuffle the community and change decks and place them face down on their spots on the board. Shuffle the cheat cards and place them in the bank tray. Draw 5 cheat cards and place them face up in the center of the board. Place the title deed cards next to their matching board spaces. Each player picks a token and places it on Go. Place the dice and handcuffs by the board.
Each player rolls the dice and the player with the highest total goes first, then play proceeds clockwise. Give the first player the bank tray and dice. On your turn, check the face up cheat cards so you can plan how and when you can get away with a cheat. Roll both dice then move your pawn exactly that many spaces clockwise around the board. If you roll doubles, then you get to take another turn, unless you’ve rolled doubles three times in a row; in that case you go to jail and do not complete your third turn. Once your turn is finished pass the dice and bank tray to the next player. Once the next player rolls, then your turn is officially over.
If you land on an unowned property, pay the bank the amount listed on the board then collect the title deed in front of you. If you don’t have enough money or don’t want to buy the property, then the property goes up for auction to the highest bidder. The Bidding starts at 10 and can increase in increments as little as 10. Whoever wins the auction gets the property and pays the bank. If no player bids then the property remains with the bank and no one gets it.
If you own all the streets in a colored set, then you own a monopoly. Rent is now increased for those properties and you may build hotels. When you land on a property that someone else owns, the owner must ask you for rent. If they do, then you must pay them the proper rent price as indicated on their card based on the condition of the property. If the property owner fails to ask you for rent before the next player rolls the dice, then you do not have to pay them. Some cards refer to a property’s face value. The face value is the price listed on the board space, unless it has a hotel, then the face value is the rent price of that property with a hotel.
When you land on or pass go you collect $200 from the bank. When you land on chance or community chest. Draw the top card from the respective pile and if it says to do something immediately, then you read it aloud and follow the instructions. Otherwise you may hold onto the card until you’re ready to use it later. You may only have 1 change and 1 community chest card at a time, if you draw a new one you will need to play or discard one of them to the bottom of the deck.
Railroads are not for sale. If you land on a railroad, then you move to the next railroad space and end your turn. If you land on free parking you draw either a chance or community chest card. If you land on “go to jail”, then you move your token immediately to jail, you do not collect $200. Put the handcuff on and place its base underneath the board near your seat. Your turn is over, but you may still collect rent, bid on auctions, buy hotels, and trade while in jail. You may also catch cheaters and cheat; but you may not play chance or community chest cards except for get out of jail free cards. If someone is already in jail when you go to jail, then they are released to the just visiting spot and you are given the handcuff. There may only be 1 player in jail at a time... - Хобби

There is actually no cheating in normal Monopoly, this edition allows you to cheat, but in a pretty limited format that can be changed if you got away with a cheat.

One time we wrre far into a game and close to the end, and when a couple of us started to argue and got distracted because of some alleged cheating, my gf managed to take like 90% of the 500 bills of the bank, and secured them on the next dice roll. Don’t believe so. It’s something that’s likely incredible cheat-y, but then again…

This game was fun in my opinion. We played this on my 24th birthday, and I am surprised my friends and I still remain friends to this day after playing this version! Our bruises from this game says it all how fun it was.
To be fair there is something called "Ultimate Cheaters Mode" where all forms of cheating are allowed. So if you are turned off by the limited amount of allowed cheats you could play that mode to spice things up a bit.
So Monopoly: Anarchy Edition
Monopoly Cheater's Edition
"Other forms of cheating are not allowed."
*Excuse me what*
Everything good in small portions

even putting aside the cheat cards, this seems like a great variation of the game! A little streamlined in play, a point where all players know the game is soon to end - fabulous design!

You said that you must ask for rent before the next player rolls the dice right?
But what about Passive-Agressive Landlord Community Chest that specifically tell you don't ask for rent, but if the player tries to skip rent then you reveal the card and take one property away from that player.
The player who landed on it must pay the rent. If they skip the rent, you can call them out and use the card.
This means, the player who landed on the property must be aware of others, and see if they purposely don't ask for rent. They might have the card and just waiting for jt.
Then you give that player a property
@@RGC_animation Yes. But they must use it BEFORE anyone accuses the cheating player, or they can't use it.
I like the idea that whether or not someone is cheating is determined by a vote of the players. Then the game becomes like the real life justice system in which corrupt officials accept bribes to let people get away with their crimes.
Superb version of monopoly game and very well explained with perfect details n rules 👍
"Other forms of cheating are not allowed"
Purge but crime is still illegal
That's a pretty nice game end condition that honestly oughta be carried over to normal monopoly. No more endless games!
It is in normal monopoly(it was made to be a fast game everybody just plays it super long for whatever reason)
@@toekneemart5597 A lot of ignoring of rules. My family were shocked when they found out how the game was actually played!
Monopoly initially was an art game about how capitalism can make people who have no legitimate chance of success still drag through life for what feels like far too long before they finally give up, so that was meant as a feature. Ironically non-official things like the free parking lotto can contribute to this even more, to the point that the endless game edition canonizes the lottery. If you're trying to play it for fun - this is the (superior) speed ruleset found in the normal rulebook, and most variations give up on even trying to carry on with that old anti-capitalist theme so they default to the better ruleset.
The strategy that I used to win was to have someone else help you cheat so you both can get more cheats in so that one of you can win.
Is there any particular reason why Connecticut Avenue has a free hotel, or is it just a random quirk of the game?
Maybe so that you can do hotel moving related cheats before anyone buys any hotels?
My assumption is that AFAIK in high level play, it's optimal to be in jail because then you can't land on other peoples properties - connecticut avenue is the furthest space from jail as it is right before it, thus making it 'worth less' because when leaving jail it will take a long time to get there.
@@zenithrium wouldnt St Charles place be worth even less then?
you cannot move only 1 space, so it has a 2 space advantage over Connecticut Avenue
I bought Monopoly cheaters edition at Hong Kong.
The rules are all in chinese (I didn't what I was expecting) and this helped me a lot!
A variant of this game that I came up with:
The game ends when all the cheat cards are gone.
You must pay rent, even when the owner doesn't ask, unless you can get away with a cheat that says otherwise.
You are stuck in Jail until someone else gets in Jail, unless you have a Get out of Jail free card, or you cheat.
After completing a cheat, you keep it with you for the rest of the game, you get the card as a special ability.
You may sell Hotels back to the bank for half price.
You may not trade cheat cards.
The game ends when all cheats have been completed successfully. Then each player must travel to GO.
Whoever completed the most cheats gets $100 for each cheat completed successfully. All other players pay $100 to the bank for each cheat they completed successfully.
Whoever has the most cash still wins.
Here's my variation:
Multiple players can cheat in one turn, but they must not do the same cheat. They can claim their successful Bonuses if they get away with it. Betrayal is fine as well.
A player can only attempt to catch one player with 1 cheat per turn. After that the Accusing player has to wait for their turn to end before they can accuse another player.
Cheating on Community Chest Cards is acceptable and the actions are the similar to Counterfeit Chance. The rewards and penalties are the same as Counterfeit Chance.
Once a cheat is completed or caught, it is gone for the rest of the game. If there are no more cheat cards, you cannot cheat for the rest of the game.
You may sell Hotels back to the bank for half price.
If the accuser falsely accuses another player of cheating, they have to flip the card the accuser was attempting to accuse the opposing player for and do the penalty. Adjustments may needed to be made.
Easy. Pay $300. If Escape Artist isn’t here. If the Escape Artist is here then I’ll go to jail.
When normal Monopoly didn't divide your family yet, this one is the next level.
I love the grin he had just while saying the name of the game
When cheating is such a common part of the game that it becomes its own game:
Wait, that's legal.
Challenge: beat monopoly cheaters edition without cheating and be the only one to call out other cheaters.
Edit: I didn't realize just how popular this would get... 593 likes?!
Harder version of said challenge: win without cheating, but after every time someone talks, you must call them out for cheating even if they are innocent.
Even Harder challenge: win without cheating, literally accuse everyone with cheating, if someone IS actually cheating, you cannot call them out
@@YourAveragePersonOnTheStreets Harder Challenge: win without buying properties (only auctioning them off) and only by calling people out of cheating
@@kemritwithgunbutrebornasle4021 Harder Challenge: Win Cheaters Edition without cheating nor getting any properties even if free nor being able to accuse anyone of cheating except innocent people nor being able to trade but instead give a little extra money to others when landing on their property and only gain money from others, Community Chest, Chance and Go.
@@theone05 Harder challenge: win cheaters edition without cheating, buying, trading, or selling properties, collecting money from go or community chest. You can call out cheaters, but every time you correctly call someone out, you take the punishment on the card and go to jail for the rest of the game, unless you pay 90% of your money. You must call out at least 2 cheaters during the game. If you’re wrong and they’re innocent, you instantly go bankrupt and lose the challenge.
This honestly sounds a lot more fun than normal monopoly.
I honestly prefer the ultimate cheaters edition, no rules ever, it’s great!
Ironically, the fact that the rules define how you can and cannot cheat means there isn’t actually any cheating allowed in this game.
The biggest sin was throwing away a "Just say no" card.

there is a variation of that monopoly where there are counterfeit bills among the real bills and at the end of the game the counterfeits are not counted and are discounted
I have this version.
And is a pain in the *** when someone gives you fake bills because you have to accept them.
As a video gamer who collects board games I remember when this version came out and now I have a Monopoly collection including this one being shown in this video
I love that the game has to specify that you can only cheat in the ways specified by the rules,. All other cheating is cheating.

If you thought normal Monopoly was a game that ruins friendships and family ties, get ready for the cheaters edition.
Here is how you can get a sweet advantage:
Get the counterfeit chance cheat.
Draw a chance card and say the following:
"Whoever draws this card is immune to all calling out of cheating. They do whatever they want whenever they like. In fact, the game has been won by the player drawing this card."
5:34 Also that is some mighty good slight of hand.

"It's legal to be illegal as long as you have fast corporate lawyers and a huge stash of money."

Can we just appreciate the effort of getting a 1 in 216 triple, double dice roll
So basically Monopoly but with Among Us Meetings.
We don't have a special game version, we just use the classic Monopoly set. You can cheat however you want, but if you're caught, you must reset everything to how it was like before you cheated, and your token is sent to jail + you must take any other punishment that all the other players feel is fair.

I’m sorry I don’t know, I just did the rules based on the version I had
What happens when you already have a chance card and you get another one as it says immediately?
Ones that have "immediately" you play when you get them as said at 3:35, you can't hold or discard them. So if you draw an immediately card and have another card, you play the immediately card and continue on with the other card still in your hand until you use it.
"CHEATER!!!" 6:10
"Peace was never an option"
so basically you can cheat but you cant cheat
When using the "move another player's piece instead of your own" cheat, can you move someone that is in jail?
EDIT: And if you can, would they still have to wear the cuffs until they pay 50, roll, or use the respective cheat?
No
It’s my understanding of the rules that you’re in jail until you actually physically remove the handcuffs, and that overrides the actual physical location of your piece. Hence what makes the “slip the cuffs off” cheat necessary.
That’s also why the “only one person in jail” rule exists for this version because there’s only one set of cuffs.
Yes. You can cheat with another player as long as you are not performing the same cheat and the corresponding cheats are available. For example, while I'm attempting Trick Dice, another player can attempt Counterfeit Chance.
In your case, You are attempting Identity Theft Cheat while another player will attempt the Escape Artist Cheat. This is completely fine as long as you don't get caught. If you both get away with it, the person who was in jail will be released for Free!
I cant believe they made a monopoly version only for Dream :o
Ur explanation is so good
One of my favorite variants.
God this starts family fights lol
There's also a variant where all bets are off and you just cheat as much as you can to try and get away with it lol
it takes someone, dumb enough to design a monopoly game, to include the rule "all other forms of cheating are not allowed", while also having a "do whatever you want" action on one card.
Me reading off a chance card with the counterfeit chance card:
"I'VE COME TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!" (insert the rest of the meme here)
there are specific ways you can cheat, and other ways of cheating are technically not allowed, but its literally called Cheaters Edition, to not break the rules would be poor etiquette.
