    Hey Rodney, I can't believe 5 years ago my "Watch it played" journey began with Pandemic, the first board game I introduced to my family. We have enjoyed many more games since then.
    Sadly, my father passed away last week and I just wanted to come and thank you. Your wonderful videos introduced us to many games and helped created so many laughs and memories around the family table that we will cherish forever. Without you and your hard work, such warming memories would have never existed.
    Keep up the good work Rodney, and thank you so, so much.

      Hi Kalvin, very sorry to hear about your father passing. Mine passed a couple years ago as well. Not an easy loss, but we carry their legacy forward in the people we are.
      This was such a kind comment for you to leave. I'm so glad that gaming became an experience you could share.

    I remember this game being so frustrating if you're a player everyone wants to accuse. Getting yanked to whatever room that might be far from where you wanted to me, roll-to-move meaning you can just get unlucky on your way back, etc. I kind of wonder if the game wouldn't be almost strictly better if all the dice and movement were taken out and people could just go to whatever room on every turn. Clue with only the decks and notepads would make it much more portable too.

    Hello,I have some questions 🙋‍♂️
    1. So if I suspect and move them from somewhere to the room I’m in . And some other character is blocking the doorway . Can the character exit the doorway !
    2. After rolling the dice 🎲 can I move only the character which is assigned to me ?
    3. If the character I accuse is already in some other room can I still bring the character to the room I’m in ?
    4. Do I need exact number on the dice to enter a room ? For example the room I want to enter is 4 steps away… so should I get total of 4 from dice ?
    Sorry I’m new to this game 😅

    What happens if you are in a room and another player who is also in your room makes a suggestion about you in the same room you were already in? On your turn can you remain in the same room or are you obliged to move out of the room?

    Tip: let’s say you have the rope and know that someone else has(green) and know that someone else has a room(study), you ask either person for the rope, green and the studyroom and they will show you 1 card either green or studyroom now nobody gonna ask you about the rope they will ask others when they ask, before you get the chance to show the rope either you will be able to show another card or someone shows before your turn. Now everybody is confused because the will bet money that you don’t have the rope😂😂😂

    Thanks so much for the best video I've found yet. QQ though. When you roll a magnifying glass, I know you have to draw a Clue card and follow directions, but do you still move your player on the board the number of spaces that the dice total? Also, after you follow the directions on Clue card, is your turn over? Or could you make a suggestion if you land in a room?

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Месяц назад

      After resolving the Clue cards, you then take your turn as normal, using the values showing on the dice to move (not including the die showing the magnifying glass, of course :) ).

      @danroden8561 Месяц назад

      @@WatchItPlayed Great thanks. You said to not include the magnifying glass as part of your total when you move your player. But I also heard that the magnifying glass is worth value of '1'. At what point would you include that value in your total? Just confused on that part lol.

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Месяц назад

      @@danroden8561 I apologize for answering without looking up that specific rule first (I lent my copy to a friend, so I had to hunt for a rule book online to get the answer). You are correct, a magnifying glass counts as a 1 for movement purposes, so you add that to the value on other dice. Since clue cards are a variant rule (not part of the core classic edition of the game), I was giving a summary of their function in this video. In the video I also say that if you roll 2 magnifying glasses, you only draw 1 clue card (because my rules said that), but some editions of the rules say you do draw 2. Unfortunately, Hasbro does have a habit of including slightly different rules in different printings, so that part is up for some debate. You should have your group decide, or go by the printed instructions in the edition you have.

      1) I can't really say that it has a point - it's kind of a strange little rule, right? I guess it's a helpful visual reminder of the items.

    • @WatchItPlayed

      Nope, the objects on the board are really just to be moved around when you make suggestions so it’s a visual reminder of what your suggestion was. They have no effect on game play otherwise.

    I had a disagreement with my granddaughter last night when, while playing CLUE, she rolled double 6's. She entered the room she wanted in FEWER than 12 spaces, made a suggestion, got the answer, and then claimed she could CONTINUE moving the remainder of her spaces. I disagreed. I said, once you enter a room, you can make a suggestion, and get the answer, but that means you forfeit the remaining spaces of your roll. Who's correct?
