Shaffer is amazing, but I really like the melody that Larry brought to the band. It contrasts Shaffer’s style perfectly, kind of like Dave mustaine and Marty Friedman in Megadeth.
The melodies have always been there since those songs were written. The origial lead guitarrist was Randy Shawver who played on the first 5 albums.

The amount of studio fixing that was done on this dvd was pathetic. I was there, it was a great show, but it sounded nothing like this, this sounds like a studio version with some tweaking.
