    Fanny was their housekeeper, they were looking for a name to fit the song, so they asked her. She was tickled that they honoured her.
    Their dad asked once, how do they write so many songs (over 1,000) Barry said, we only ever put emotions to music. Could that be why you feel it so deeply when they sing their songs?

      Actually no mo doesn't sing in falsetto .. he sings a high Harmony with a normal voice

I'm not a professional singer so I'm going on his exact words ..so tech your not arguing the point with me you'd be arguing with him ..he specifically said no I can't sing in falsetto I sing in a high Harmony in my natural voice ..regardless if he was wrong his voice is beautiful

      @@angelapietro4734 Maybe he didn't know the difference between them? I do, though, and he, as well as Robin and Barry could sing in falsetto. Barry could sustain it which isn't typical. Robin had the least developed falsetto. I believe the falsetto note in the song reaches at or about G7, and Maurice's range went to somewhere in F, and that makes that falsetto. It wouldn't be surprising that he - or any of them didn't know a lot about technical things in regard to music because they couldn't read or write it and didn't have any real training.
      Yes, they all had gorgeous voices! We are lucky to have had them. :)

    This was my favorite Bee Gee's song but they're all beautiful! I love how each of them can go back and forth from alto to falsetto, this song and performance shows all of their ranges.

    It's amazing how they switch their voices from a regular voice to a baritone and to falsetto in one song and it has many remarkable layers.

    Bee Gees are superb. They are the best of the best. Simply iconic. Started singing together at a very young age, play instruments, even Robin the middle brother with the most unique voice. Love them all. They also wrote and composed most of their songs. Naturally gifted entertainers.

    One of the Beegees' best R&B songs.This is a promo video done for the 24 hour TV music video channels that ran back then..MTV and MUCH MUSIC I remember watching..the audio is the Fanny track directly from the Main Course album.

    Love the tempo of this song, thanks to the drummer & Brother Maurice on that bass❤. Barry sings lead on many of their songs but check out Robin's unique voice on Massachusetts, For Whom The Bell Tolls. A great video is BeeGers live performance of Nights On Broadway on The Midnight Special, featuring Barry & Robin sharing lead with Maurice on bass & also singing the falsetto parts at the end!

    Maurice founded the Disco bass sound with 'You Should Be Dancin'. And his arrangement in 'Jive Talkin' is just great. On top of the keyboard and guitar, his bass playing was top notch! Not bad for three kids from the Isle on Man!

    I was born in the early 60s, my absolute favorite band is the Bee Gees, in second place is Maneskin, a rock band of 4 members at the age of 21 to 24, famous since 3 years! I love good music, voices, songwriting, instruments, no matter what era the artists come from

    #flexer This was The Bee Gees at their absolute height!! When Saturday Night Fever hit, their earlier stuff just got lost in that tsunami and people negated their genius. They hardly ever, if ever, sang this live because there were so many layers of harmonies on the album that they couldn't replicate the sound live. Please go deeper into the pre-Fever catalog! So many gems and amazing harmonies!!

    I was born in 1945 and was a teenager in the 60`s! But I still prefer the music from then and it was so vibrant and we had so many different good voices which we don`t seem to get anymore! It was an exciting time!!

    Without those voices, that song would have been a flop!! Nobody else but the Bee Gees could have made that song a hit!!
