We're buying a travel trailer and this is perfect since it won't fall off while the trailer is moving. I did watch the other video, but your idea was much simpler and I like your suggestion of the ruffle on the bottom. Thanks for sharing!
I’m going to try this with the bath size towel I keep in my guest bath to make it more difficult for my grandkids to pull the towel completely off the rod. I’m so glad I saw this before I did one of the other kitchen towel ideas that require cutting it in half. Thanks for a great idea.
Sooooo cool!! I saw a video that had a similar design, and I had to stop every 2 seconds to understand what she was doing. It turned out nice, but this method is way simpler. Thank you!!!
Cute idea. I think I would like the strip of fabric a little further down so the piece you pull through will fully cover the towel behind it. Thanks for the idea!
Came back to add...I also use the claw clips that are intended for hot rollers (Conair and knock-off brands have them) because they allow me to leave the towel completely extended to dry faster. The clips fit perfectly around the thick handle of my oven, and to beautify them, I covered them in fabric.
Wow your video was so easy to follow.. I like your version better. A lot simpler thank you I am going to do heaps for my family. Thank you for sharing.
So cute, fast and easy! I'll be making these for gifts! I use an unshared pencil for turning. The eraser end is slip proof and safe. Won't poke through.
Great idea! 🤔 I don't like my towel scrunched up or it never dries, but I could just sew the tab at each end, on the edge of the towel, and it should work the same 😊
Great video !! I really appreciate that you are straight to the point Highlights for me are finding the center of the towel with your ruler ( I hate measuring and get slightly confused for a second all the time) You showing how it's going to look finished ( I was wondering at that exact moment what it would look like )
When turning a right angle or otherwise sharp corner to the right side, bevel the seam allowance, and then hold the corner between the thumb and forefinger exactly at the corner, and then turn inside out. By holding the corner between the thumb and forefinger, the seam allowance has less chance to bunch up, and there is less need to poke it out with a poking tool. This comes from both shirt making and tailoring. I sometimes reinforce the corner with a small triangle of thin iron on interfacing, depending on how much stress or wear is anticipated for the corner when it is in use.
Great idea! My husband just walks next to the oven and I find the towels on the floor🤷🏻♀️ I have to try and figure out how to get the my embroidered towels to line up.
There is ocean of videos teaching simple, fancy, etc methods and looks. But yours meet my need: more towel to wash my hands and less ornament taking over the whole towel.
I just love your videos! This idea? Brilliant. I love how easy it is to grab the whole towel when you need it. Also gotta say I LOVE all your mask videos. I found your channel not too long ago, and seeing all the different ways to make masks, and especially your reviews of each design, has been great inspiration. Watching you sew is like watching Bob Ross paint: calming, and extremely satisfying. 💕
@@delilahgillis5287 Ma'am, I'm not bullying or harassing anyone, I was kindly reminding everyone that writing in all caps is considered aggressive and extremely rude when it comes to online communications. I feel for you and your poor eyesight. I have very advanced keratoconus and I'm legally blind myself, so I understand the struggle! I wish you well.
I like this. I think I might try a version that keeps the towel flat. FYI: I usually put a sewing clip on my towels (just under the oven handle bar) to keep the towel on. Used to use two, one on each side, but one broke. 😂 One works just as well, so if anyone is short on time. . . I also don’t care for the towels with toppers for another VERY practical reason: It makes the towel hang down farther, so when you open the oven door it drags on the floor! 😮😱
So happy I found your channel! I made myself one! I am certainly not any kind of genius, but is there a way to make this so the towel center is in the fabric instead of an end? I have also made your jar opener from your videos; you are AWESOME! Thank you so very much for sharing your gift with all of us! You are appreciated!!!
Im not quite sure what you’re asking. If you want to center the fabric on the towel rather than off center, you’ll just end up with ends that don’t line up at the bottom when you put the towel on. That’s why I offset where the fabric was added. If I haven’t understood the question, please let me know.
Hey Tim, as a runner yourself you know how nice these new pockets are on acrylic tights and shorts that we cannot buy. I would love to know how to add pockets to my older tights so that I can take my phone and keys along with me on a run without having to take a Fanny pack. Any possibility of you showing us how to do it on an edition of your sewing channel? Would like to know how to handle stretchy fabrics as well. Thanks again. Love your channel. I always learn so much
Tim! I kinda found it funny you think Velcro and buttons are old lady and cartoon cats aren’t !! But I love it and can’t wait to make these!! Thanks for a great tutorial.
Tim-love this project. I watched it several times but nowhere do you show how to put it on the bar. 😮 Can you please explain it? I’m sure it’s simple but I just can’t figure it out 😊
I think yours is an easier one to make, I was confused with some of the others I watched. I am going to just make a band with wide elastic in it and not attached to any towel and you can just put on any towel.
Did you put the band on the side that is going to be the front? I have some towels with words on the front and I don’t want to do it upside down or backwards 🙃
Those potholders are awful once washed a couple times. I have never like them. Tip for turning. A chop stick works great for the corners. It's blunt, small and won't poke thru. I love it.
Can you show me how to do it with a tea towel that has words on the front? This way folds the front to the back and the back folds forward. I need the design and the words to show in front.
This so boring and a dish towel folded so small is a nusiance. I have liked a number of your tutorials But not this one. I am still sewing and quilting at 97.
You must have way too much time on your hands to waste it on fooling with something like that, I have more important things to do with my precious time.
Yet you watched the video and took time to make the comment. Apparently you DON’T have more important things to do. ***why do people feel the need to bash other people?***
Love this, I’m always having to pick my towels off the floor.
You should experiment with where to put the strap thing. I wish I’d put it a little lower on this one so the bottom edges line up better.
Brilliant. I use a chopstick to turn and push corners out. Going to do this for all my towels. Thank you!
Me too

What a cool idea! Now I have to try that too!! lol
Debbie that is an awesome idea. Thank you for sharing. Jewels 💎
😄Old lady towels! I have many of those but I like this much better!
Thank Tim!
Thanks, what a great idea! I always like your videos, as well as I enjoy listening to you talk. Take care!
I love this! It drives me crazy when towels fall off the oven door!!
So simple and SO STINKING CUTE!!!
Pretty nifty, thanks for the new knowledge💙🪶
Really cute idea! I'm constantly picking towels off the floor. 💖🌹
Brilliant!! My towels always fall off the oven door, I need to do this! Thank you!

Thanks for taking your time…and explaining what your doing
Brilliant!!!! I've been known to use a hair tie on my kitchen towels...shhhh don't tell anyone! 😉
I use scrunchies that match my kitchen colors. Brilliant minds think alike!

Thanks for the compliment. I try to instruct the way I’d want to hear and anticipate questions in advance.
@@timothytotten9409 I truly appreciate the time you take with your videos.
I watched your videos all day and made the baskets. I am going to try the casserole carrier tomorrow
Great idea thank you Tim .Loving your cat fabric
Oh how I love your channel. Ive learned so many things by watching. Tyfs.
Thanks for sharing, like the idea.
Such a cute idea! I had a very busy day in my sewing room and now I get to put my feet up and watch you work. Thank you for posting this video!
I use a good plastic drinking straw (flattened on 1 end) to turn the tube & to get the corners crisp. Cheap & easy
Cute and fast. I love this idea. I love that my husband can't remove the towel from the oven handle and leave it on the counter top.
It’s a silver lining!! Lol
Nice towel. Thank you
Wow your video was so easy to follow.. I like your version better. A lot simpler thank you I am going to do heaps for my family. Thank you for sharing.

I love how you make small mistakes and then the fly showed up and you just keep on going! Real life! 😀🐈⬛
Great idea! 🤔 I don't like my towel scrunched up or it never dries, but I could just sew the tab at each end, on the edge of the towel, and it should work the same 😊
Absolutely!
Love this!! So much easier than the others I’ve seen- and I need easy 😅
I love this version!

Love your videos, you explain everything so that I can even understand. Thank you 😊
That is so nice to hear!
This is just wonderful
I’m going to have to try this! Thanks for the great tutorial!
Plain and simple, love it!
Crochet hooks work very nicely
Simple and elegant!! OMG

Would wide ribbon work in place of the fabric. I really enjoy the crafty tutorials. Keep them coming
Yeah, that would be great! You could even just fold the ends in and stitch over, so you’d have a clean edge.

I don't like the backside of the towel showing after you push it through the loop. SIGH. how to remedy that??

Suggest you can use a wooden spoon or chopsticks to turn the fabric right side up instead of doing with your fingers much easier
I love your videos. This is great
My first one I put on the wrong side. Good thing I know how to use a seam ripper.😅
Love.
Tim-love this project. I watched it several times but nowhere do you show how to put it on the bar. 😮

Many companies count the material size before sewing the hems. That accounts for the difference of actual size.
Love this! Thanks 😇
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well...there is 20 min I will never get back LMAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Awesome thanks for sharing this.
The band should be about an inch or more wider than the towel to allow for the bulk of the towel when placed thru the band on the oven bar.
Good point.
CUTE!!!!!
Genius
I think yours is an easier one to make, I was confused with some of the others I watched. I am going to just make a band with wide elastic in it and not attached to any towel and you can just put on any towel.
I liked making those!
That sounds like a great idea! Did you do it and did it work?
I think I’d rather just sew it on the ends. Then, you could still fold the towel in thirds if you want to, or just fold it in half.
Did you put the band on the side that is going to be the front? I have some towels with words on the front and I don’t want to do it upside down or backwards 🙃
Yes. Put it on the side that you want to face forward.
Those potholders are awful once washed a couple times. I have never like them. Tip for turning. A chop stick works great for the corners. It's blunt, small and won't poke thru. I love it.

I’d pre-wash all fabrics before sewing.
my towels is16 wide what do i do now
Don’t buy those towels they are synthetic and melt near a stovetop. It’s a nightmare. Bit it’s a great idea but buy cotton towels.
Looks easy enough, put finished product is not finished!
I'd you actually use this to dry your hands, it will never dry all folded up like that!
why do you waste the fabric, I measure better and cut shorter piece!
Good work!
