Looks a billion times better than the old one. Being purchased by PSA was the best thing for Opel. Its European once again. Under GM Opel was a disgrace and to call itself German was an insult. Under Peugeot they can at least. Even though peugeot is French it is still European and Europeans generally have the same philosophy in cars.

haha, it's amazing how far the humble Corsa has come: adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking... and now even available in full electric!
Also, 300+ km on electric power is more than enough for most people for daily commuting from home to work and even for some small weekend trips, the only problem is that it forces people to buy a 2nd car when they want to travel further than that

    • @JuzzlinOSS

The new Corsa-e gives you an impressive 330 km range without recharging. Perfect for your everyday use. Simply electric. Range data given is preliminary at the moment and has been determined according to WLTP test procedure methodology. Its NEDC range is 435 km. On top, you're able to charge your Corsa-e battery up to 80% in 30 minutes only. Our versatile charging strategy lets you stay flexible, both for daily distances and longer trips.

I'd love for the eCorsa to have an analog instrument cluster or a different digital display, the one shown is too square for the rounded wrap around. Less electronic stuff too but in this day and age the Corsa is probably one of the simpler options on the market. Where I live I don't need driver assist tech or gps for the most part, if anything, the only thing I find useful is an interface between a phone and the car to play music and charge it, all else is a secondary.
If Opel and Peugeot released some source code or other information regarding the ability to update the controller software and upgrade the hardware in the future so it's more environmentally friendly when batteries and maybe motor tech improves and becomes cheap for the average consumer to maintain the vehicle in the long term. In most cars it's a pain in the butt to upgrade one component or another because of conflicts with the ECU or other components, wish EV were more straightforward in that regard.

Opel was never going to have much of a future if it kept making cars that only fleet managers wanted, they need to make cars that normal people want because that's where the profit is (see Dacia for example, almost no fleet sales, super cheap cars and still very profitable!)
I love the new Corsa, it has a soul which to me was missing since the Corsa C. And the interior has something all cars should have: dedicated buttons for the ventilation, so it makes a more user friendly car compared to the 208

A lot of hate for GM Opel here. I'd say that Opel is the only German brand, except for Porsche, that I'd dare to own out of warranty. I think Opel outdid all the "big three" in some ADAC survey regarding towings due to mechanical failiure on the Autobahn.
I love the Insignia hatch. With the 20" wheels it's easily one of the best looking D segment cars on the market. VW can go and hide with their fugly Arteon for example.
PSA on the other hand... Renault is probably worse but wouldn't even want to own those within warranty.

Peugeot DS and Renault make better quality cars than VW and Ford or GM. GM is the shitest car brand ever like FCA. Renault is one of the most reliable car brand, they have better quality than VW now and best design they are leader in electric, small Suv and B category. Peugeot is the most reliable car brand in europe in 2019 and in UK in 2019. Peugeot save Opel and Peugeot ingeneers is the best in Europe, they have save Opel Because Gm kill opel. Opel never win 1€ since 1999, in only 1 year with French company Opel win 600millions € in 2018 and 2billions for 2020. Thanks Peugeot for save Opel and have best technology and reliabilty.

Its for this French cars is the best now, 7 French cars in the top 15 of best European cars in 2019, 4 Germans and 0 british because british dont know built cars and keeping a company they lost 90% of them cars owned by French indian and Germans

  • @mariokajin
    @mariokajin 5 лет назад +4

It’s not build quality it’s more choice of materials. It’s all across the industry with the “cheap “ car and entry level configuration. In PSA group cars there are hidden spots where there is clearly poor build quality but not in plain sight.

    • @alexandergrzx300

PSA is more reliable than Germans cars. Peugeot make better quality cars than VW and Ford. This opel is the CHEAPER Peugeot 208 because PSA keep prenium quality ONLY FOR Peugeot and DS. Opel is the low cost car brand for Psa, and Opel from French brand have better quality than VW and Ford. Congrats French, they make the best quality cars in Europe now and they are the most popular car in Europe. 7 French cars in the top 15 Europe, 4 Germans cars, 0 british because british dont have cars now

Yess, good job. Dont like that it's shape is identical to the 208, and the front similar to seat Ibiza, and rear Korean. I prefer the more unique style of the old one. Still, looks good. And it's great that there's manual air con, not fiddly touchscreen controls in Peugeot and Citroen.

Good Thomas can you put on test Opel Senator 3.0i 24v Opel high class vehicle or Opel Omega Lotus fastest car in 1990 faster then ferrari testarossa or porsche 911 turbo.
I am sure that opel would give to you on test.
Opel had some super cars like Opel commodore A and B,rekord C,D.opel senator A and B OPEL DIPLOMAT yes Opel
had v8 engines when Bmw and Mercedes didn t have 8 cylinders cars.Audi who is now premium didnt exist in Opel v8 engines,
Audi is established 1967 or 1966 from four companyes that why he has four rings.OPEL shoud be premium and his place take Audi
in 1994-95.Many things are secret about Opel his is deliberately sabotage to be removed from autoindustry.WHY?
Because for less money you get same cars like Bmw and Mercedes.Examples lets see.
1990 Opel Omega Lotus wins Bmw M5 in every way, fastets car 300km/h handeling sharp and precisely faster then moust Porsches 911
and ferraris and suddenly 200% percent tax on that car because its dangerous their explanation.I was child than and a know
something is lie here because no other car get something like this no tax on any car like that,Bmw m5 after that came to 300km/h and later 330km/h and more but they a not dangerous.Just to say a am not against Bmw,Mercedes or Audi.
1972 -1977 Opel Rekord D and Opel Commodore B Bmw is called that car Tigar from Rüsselsheim becuse his design, handeling, sportnest and motors did you know that.
In 1960-s Mercedes said we have to do something because Opel Diplomat is better than as Mercedes S class w108 and than they introduced v8 engines. In that time Audi have just two cars in two classes Opel have cars in seven Classes.
In 1987-88-89-90 Opel Omega and Senator wins in all test against Bmw 5 e34,Mercedes w124, Audi 100,BMW 7e32in Germany,Switzerland,Belgia,Austria,France,Netherlands auto newspapers like Automotor und sport,Auto bild and others....
I know because a read all this newspaper in 1986,1987,1988,1989,1990,1991,1992.....
All this what a said is checkable so it is truth.
In 1993 Opel withdraw from high class-Opel Senator no reason in 1997 Opel withdraw from middle sport class Opel Calibra no reason just like that, in 2003 withdraw from upper middle class Opel omega before Opel Rekord he was so known and successful in that class.
Conclusion:GM DELIBERATELY destroying Opel from mid 1990s with help from some others brands like vw.
Opel Manta car from middle sport class and Ford Capri both companies had sports coupes when this other haven t got
    cars in that segment.
Now they have cars in that segmenet and Opel and Ford have not.
OPEL is much mighty than mass of people think it is.
Now that is with Peugeot and Citroen he coudt be what he is equal to Bmw,Mercedes....
If he have free hand that will be.Peugeot director said now we will unlease Opel.
And just to say am not against this brand like bmw, mercedes just this is facts and they can be checkable.

Corsa C was my favourite of the previous models. I had 3 of them.
For the new model. Generally a big improvement. Not a fan of the front styling, and strange they didn’t adopt the family grille with the wings either side of the logo like the other Vauxhall models including the new Astra which has the wing grille. The Corsa E is an attractive price point and should prove successful.

GM kept the old Opel/Vauxhall wings grill/'artistic sculpture meets German precision' design language for their Buick brand in North America. Buick badge engineered a few Opel/Vauxhall models under GM ownership and When PSA bought Opel/Vauxhall the company decided to introduce an all new compass design language to completely distinguish itself from its previous GM roots.
