    Been going to BC for 30 years. First time was mid 90's and we had a paper map for directions from my buddy's older brother. Haven't been there in over 10 and it still looks the same. Thanks for posting this. Fishing was good back then, rainbow and brown once you hike up about a mile or so

    I might have to attempt this trail route. Hopefully it has plenty of water when I decide to go. Looks like you don’t need 4x4 either.

    Hi, thanks for the video. I'm wanting to camp at Bear Creek camp and I heard that the usual way was washed out and we can't get to the campsite from the other way. Did you see Bear Creek camp up there? It looks like you can just drive up to it? Any help would be much appreciated!

    I used to backpack that place a lot in the eighties with a buddy named Walter Nation. Sure miss it. There was good trout fishing. I only kept what I could cook up, the rest went back in. I caught a 15 incher there. I wonder if Walter still heads goes back there. Great memories. Just watch out for rattlers.

    I had heard that bear creek was a good fishing spot. And seeing you take your Subi back there gave me hope with my Jeep Patriot, but after seeing how much water there was there I can't imagine it being much of a fishing spot. Maybe if we have a good winter next spring will be better? Thanks for sharing the footage would love to buddy explore a trail with you. I have most of the stuff we need to be safe.

      I think the better spot for fishing in that area is behind the seven oaks dam. I did a video of that trail ruclips.net/video/nP5_m1mlvDA/видео.html. In the vid you can see the little side track that i somehow missed @ ruclips.net/video/nP5_m1mlvDA/видео.html It takes you down closer to the dam. Let me know what sort of trails your interested in exploring, It would be good to have some backup for once. I'm always chancing it going out solo.

    That was disappointing, I thought there would be more water in Bear Creek. I had heard you could catch browns in bear creek, but they'd have to be small to be in that amount of water.

      Tim, This IS a nice video showing the overall territory, but, it doesn't look like he made it to the main streambed. Road 1N09 crosses over Bear Creek on its way west towards highway 330 and under that bridge there are deep pools of water (unfortunately there are usually people playing in that water). If you just take a short hike downstream towards 7 Oaks Dam, you can catch some good sized browns. In case you didn't know there are special regs to fish there. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

      @@GettingBentWithBo I'm not sure how to "attach something" here. From Redlands CA. You take Hwy 38 east into the mountains. You see a sign, after several miles into the canyon, that says Forest Falls (to the right) and Big Bear Lake (to the left). You go towards Big bear Lake until you come to the town of Angelus Oaks. Immediately after Angelus Oaks a dirt road (Middle Control Rd on a map) will take off to the left. You take that down the hill until you cross a creek (Santa Ana River) it turns into a paved road and then forest rd. 1NO9 will take off to the left from that. You take that, It becomes Clark's Grade, and then 7 Pines road will take off to the left from that (there's no sign) (you should print a map before you go). After some miles the road will cross over the main stem of the creek and that's where the deeper pools and the bigger fish are. I hope this helps.

    What would you do if you were on that road and another car was oncoming? Is there specific "in" and "out" ways?

    • @subietrails2750
      @subietrails2750  8 месяцев назад +3

      The roads always look more narrow in these wide angle trail camera videos. There's almost always enough room to squeeze past other vehicles.
