    Would someone please pass me some tissues?
    I'm so happy that this doctor is willing to absorb the costs. Prayers work Grandma!
    Such a strong, beautiful family!! Don't worry about her not talking yet Mama. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have someone check things out...My son wasn't talking at 2.5yo either. We did get him evaluated & he was diagnosed with Global Delay. Fortunately, he's now 21yo & has done things that the docs said that he'd never do.
    I'll send prayers ya'll's way.

    My nephew had this on just one side. He had the extensive surgeries on his hip and knee and then they lengthened his femur. Now both of his legs are the same length and he runs around as if nothing ever happened. Thank God we live in Canada and it was all free!

    It shouldn't have to be like this though. If she lived in Canada, this surgery would be free. Only in the USA will you find doctors giving "gifts" of medical treatments because it's the only way people can afford them.

    • @carriereed2552
      @carriereed2552 7 лет назад +6

      Chelsea Older However, while the treatment would be free, parents would still have to be able to take time off of work during the recovery process and the ability to get in to see the specialists required for this condition can take many months if not a year.

      Carrie Reed I understand that. Still, though, it's a sad state of affairs our US Healthcare system is in. That's all I meant by my comment. I am genuinely happy Sophie is getting the care she needs.

      Chelsea Older yes. I live in a where we don't care about each other and we let children suffer because their parents can't afford to get them A surgery that's would be life-changing.
