DIY Lounge Chair

I am so excited for summer! This has been quite the school year and this mom is ready for some fun and sun! I got an itch to build a new set of lounge chairs. My cushions had seen better days and rather than finding another set to fit the old chairs, I decided to find cushions that I love and design and build a new set of chairs to fit them! With lumber prices rising, I did my best to keep the cost down on this set. I was able to build this new set for about $125 each! This set of plans is for one chair so if you plan to buid two, make sure to double the shopping list!

Nice build! A trick I have learned though my woodworking is using quick clamps when your trying to hold things together to screw or nail. Especially with pocket screws because they tend to shift the wood. It’s helped me out a lot working alone. Cheers!

Had to get hat first comment out and then come back and leave a real comment later. I was trying to watch your video while I'm at work in between patients, so it took like a hour to watch the whole thing. I've been there before with the knee to the screw thing. Ouch! The chairs look great and you did a wonderful job teaching how to do it.

The high lumber prices are mainly effecting lumber that's commonly used in construction. Other woods, hardwoods, etc. have been less effected...
