This insane Ghost cam tune by Lund Racing makes my Mustang GT sound FILTHY at idle. Im running catless longtube headers and Corsa Extremes so we have just about as much noise as one could possibly have.

This is honestly one of the better ghost tunes I've heard. A lot of the ghost tunes you can tell they're fake. This one sounds pretty good
Really it can’t be fake since your just locking out the VCT. The lope is just what it sounds like if it didn’t have the fancy technology

All, just so everyone is clear. These are the actually cams making this noise. It's not a fueling, or any other type of wizardry. These have VVT "variable valve timing" Lund parks the cams so you can hear them chop. It's not fake at all.
Yeah lol tried explaining this to my friend as to how it works and it actually keeps the valves open for.longer acting like an actually upgrade cam but he doesn't belive it lol

There’s no explaining to people with their minds made up. Even with stage 3 comp cams the VVT will take over and mellow the idle without locking the phasers. People just don’t want to hear it 😂
Yes supposedly it's bad for the car to a certain degree however once the car is put under load the chop stop cams are adjusted by the ECU . and the guy before me was right it keeps the vowels open longer so the valve is open on both sides which is pretty much causing detonation from what I read today I'm gonna process of buying a GT 350
I can’t wait to get my first GT. First day I get it, Ima straight pipe it, take it home, and get a folding chair and just listen to her. Then I’m getting the tune so I can have some chopped beef for dinner.

I have a 2018 GT 6 speed with a Bama 93 race tune and 3" Corsa Extreme cat backs with double helix crossover. Factory headers and cats. I thought my shit was loud lol. When I get on it, it's really loud but not as loud as yours. I thought about doing a ghost cam tune but it doesn't really seem worth it to just sound cool at idle. I actually like the smooth idle anyway. Once it's warmed up you can barely hear the idle and low RPM cruising is pretty quiet too, relatively speaking. Headers and cat delete would be too much for me I think. Currently it's a nice throaty 5.0 sound at low RPMs and it screams like a NASCAR at high RPMs. Best of both worlds

@@coderomes I had it on my first gen coyote and cold starts were obnoxious, and fuel consumption in the city was HORRIBLE because of stopping so often and the tune spraying so much extra fuel at idle lol. I took it off too. Driveability back then when it first came out was god awful too!

When I am done paying this off and buy a regular car I will put in cams along with everything else I need to make over 1000 to the wheel. What is ur take on hellion TT??
Sounds sick! Do some research about long term effects. I've crossed this mod off my list because I've heard too many negative things about it. I could listen to that chop all day long though 😁

@@mjz187 If you're considering this tune, just research it and come to your own conclusion about it. My comment was not to sway anyone's decision about using it. I've read about ppl using it for years with no problems and others having drive-ability issues and/or engine issues after using it. It's a topic that seems to be highly debated. I don't have any personal experience with it to share. So just be informed about what you're doing and how it actually works then make your decision.

traded my eco in a few weeks ago, had a cai, cat-back system and a cobb tune. AND SHE WOULD SCOOT. and since they have turbos, its super easy to squeeze power out, just make sure u dont have a lemon so u dont get the ecoboom

Honestly from what I've heard it mostly just turns off something that is meant for low rpm economy so if you're doing some long traveling where every mile counts it wouldn't be as good but I've heard from a lot of knowledgeable people that it shouldn't be harmful to the car itself just what the car would sound like without that extra emissions mode

So from what ive read and can tell, it shouldnt unless youre running it 24/7 and idling A LOT. But it only changes the mapping for idle so when driving it should drive like normal or however your tuner tunes it.
I really only ran the ghost cam while cruising around town or going to meets, but if i knew i would be racing i took it off and ran my high octane tunes or if i get tired of it i took it off. Its a cool party trick but its weird sometimes

Pretty cool. I’d rather get custom cams instead of a ghost cam tune. Not worth the headaches I’ve heard about Lund.
Ok so you have a fuel tune, an E85 tune and Ghost cam. Now can you use the 91 tune, turn on the ghost cam and the 91 tune is still up and running but just has the choppy idle, same as E85 mode plus ghost cam. Or can you not run both at once? Also every time you want to be in a different mode do you have to stop and load for 6 minutes or after its installed is it just push a button and your ready to go? I'm about to pull the trigger but things are confusing. Plus the tuner comes with 2 credits, is that enough to load in these 2 extra tunes assuming you get the 91 tune but had to buy the ghost and E85 tune. Plus I don't believe you get an nGauge anymore so I'm looking into that as well. Please reply and help a fella out.

0 affect. It’s strictly at idle. The tune is disabled once you’re driving.
I was going to get the ghost tune to my 5.0 and my tuner shop said it’s hard on the vehicle? That you shouldn’t drive with it activated? Just trying to get some answers on this, hear different things from different shops😂 don’t know what to be

How is that I have catless headers, Corsa extreme, and I have the Lund ghost cam, and mine does not chop this hard. Do you have to request them to make it that choppy and loud? Once mine warms up it goes quite and you can’t even hear the choppiness

@@coderomes generally speaking if you hear what sounds like your drunk uncle trying to beat his wife coming out of the exhaust of the car beside you. It’s more than likely hurting feelings at the track. This makes a car that is seemingly not built sound like a straight up stroker motor

Not to my knowledge, I’m guessing though
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for a manufacturer to void a warranty due to an aftermarket part. They have to prove that your mod made your car fail. Also, if you're worried, just put the stock headers back on if you need warranty work done. But again...they cannot outright void your warranty.
