Whoa wait...the car ran a trap speed of 120 stock then ran 10’s with a steeda CAI, long tubes, tune, light weight brakes, wheels and grippy tires? Very impressive.
All 10 speed 5.0s run 120 mph bone stock… my did with factory street tires
The 10r80’s are actually mid 11sec cars with good tires lol

Probably the most accurate assumption out of all the comments lol since this was a shop project and not a customer's car the only time we were able to work on it was at night. So not a lot of sleeping got done for a few months lol

Thank you for sharing your history with the car, your goals and what it took to get there. That ET and trap are just insane for an NA 5.0L.
I don’t think enough folks know how hard it is to get an NA door slammer to run faster than 10.50 (real world) and 130mph without a power adder, even with a much larger engine.
Plenty of 650-690bhp LS7 Z06 Corvettes hustled to get low 10s at 138 NA with a 7.0L and a 3100lb curb weight. Took good tires and a very good driver to get there rowing gears.

They have NA camaros in the 8s.. and that's a stock zo6 dipped into the 10s
They have N/A FULLY BUILT* Camaros in the 10s whereas this heads/cam/intake with bolt ons mustang is still impressive

There’s things I like about this video ,, I like your color of choice for the mustang, I have the same color , ,,,2 thing is what you have dun with it ,, 3 thing all the stuff you told use about you did , 3 thing I want to no did you have to changeout your axle shafts to make them stronger , to handle the horse power ,,, there’s a lot I would like to ask but I’m trying to keep it simple

Get it into the 8's. Would be interesting to get a junkyard car and disassemble the uni body and weigh and study each panel. Maybe something is over built or there for crash purposes. Got to be a way to remove more weight.

Cool build reminds me of the old school foxbody builds with a Heads/cam/intake.
Swap out all the glass windows if you haven't already. Aluminum or chromoly replacements for everything in the suspension.

Wow I'm sure these guys spend well over $10,000 plus just to break it in a record when people listen to that tuners and talk to the tuners first I'm sure blow a car will blow this car out the water with a tad bit less money involved and plenty of upgrades

yep we were there about 15 years then moved to Katy and we were there about 9 years until we moved to Sealy in April 2019

I saw streeda run close to that 2 years ago in South Georgia motor sports park. Not that I like them but on a prototype converter same cams from what they said I saw multiple 9.70@138 on that gutted car and was told broke 9.50s same day. I was not watching the whole time and they did go to no times on it later. So pretty sure this has been done a while ago by them.
this ran like a 9.4 or less if im not mistaken, manuel from midnight put cocaine in the fuel tank

Drag racing guys are the same as fisherman,, They find a spot with fush and everyone wants to know where they are fishing... This guy put in the time and effort to be fast and everyone wants exact details but thats not how it works.. People who succeed dont give away their secrets,,, Accept it and try to succeed yourself

Respectable??? Ya Think?? I just want to put that into context. I've been around long enough to have been at many NMRA and Fun Ford events in the past. By the past I mean 96-97 time frame. Back then you had the top 3 fastest classes were Pro 5.0, Super Street Outlaw and Street Renegade. All 3 of those classes used power adders and you HAD TO to be competitive. Back then, the best in the Street Renegade classes were running mid 9's to high 8's.
If this car weighs 3400lbs and runs 9.7 then it has major engine work. No fcking way, unless its under 2900lbs. This thing must have heads, cams, and a tune on ragged edge. Must be making over 500wheel. Give me some numbers

This car has heads, cams, higher compression. Spins to 8200 rpm. Massive weight changes, no rear seats....etc. How does this qualify for fastest na s550 when its totally modified for racing.

Yeah he’s gotta be running a full Fuel Return System with Nitromethane Fuel or VP M5 Fuel ain’t no way you can go that fast on E85/C85 or any Ethanol based Fuel
You guys need to take down the camaros NA record! You're already out trapping them and that car is basically a stripped down race car.
They aren’t out trapping the camaro. Camaro 8.8@148. This car is just about as light as well. And you do realize this car is running nitromethane and m5 mix right? You can’t even run that without a new fuel system. The Camaro is on e85 lol. The fuel alone is worth 80 hp lol. The lt1 is far superior in output with heads cam setup. Equal weight equal fuel Camaro will always be faster na heads cam . Just pray they don’t resort to running that fuel in the record lt1 cars
The 5th Gen has been 8.5@154 na SBE also. The 6th Gen will surpass that eventually. Don’t get your Hopes up
@@ultrazls1 The fastest 6th gen I've seen is 9.37 @ 143 all motor. That's what I was referring to. This car still has full interior and all the street creature comforts. That 6th gen was a flood car and has a completely stripped interior with no ac or accessories.
The LT1 has 6.2 liters of displacement and 90+% of those all motor LTx and LSx dont stay stock displacement.
The LT1 doesn't have superior heads/cam to a 3rd gen 5.0. That's why 5.0s make so much more power on boost than an LT does with less work. There are ZERO stock motor LTx running 1200 whp on a stock sealed motor and running 7s or 8.0s. There are several 5.0s doing that. DOHC always out breathes a pushrod, that's why they can do more with less displacement.

I just got me a 2020 gt 5liter race red heavy dark tint on 19inch black wheels 10k miles with cut out turn down exhaust , sounds like OMG PLEASE 😲 , U GOTTA BE KIDDING ME , HERE COMES A WAR PARTY 🥳??. LOL..
