You don't need to use a different swing in the sand. Move the ball forward, think "U" and splash it close every time with this tip from short game guru Dave Pelz.

Interesante!! I went to a Pelz short game school YEARS ago. I wish we did this. For whatever reason, for the bunker session, we were hitting off a piece of plastic(???!!!) which we put sand ON before each shot. Absolutely the worst!! Really scratched up my wedge!
@@jeffh.9999Jeff, all I’m saying is when you play bunkers with rock hard sand, not the sand Mr. Pelz is playing out of in his backyard, a wedge with 14 degrees of bounce opened up and played forward in your stance will bounce the leading edge into the ball resulting in a skulled or thin shot.
I don't understand all this talk about hitting out of sand. I play at one of the two best local courses and neither of them have anything in them that even resembles sand, in quality or quantity!
