I've used a great many channel strips and this is the best. The presets are inciteful and thsts where orher top mixers reveal their magic touches! The mix remains clean and sorts out the lows and low mids extremely well. I think Andrew Scheps spent 2-3 years working with Waves on this plugin and the hard graft paid off. Study the various tutorials and you cant go wrong🏆Looking forward to further Omni channel upgrades from Waves.
The original Scheps omni channel is one of only two plugins from waves I still use (the other being the vocal rider which is just useful). Waves lost my trust when they shanked the v9 plug owners and then when they did the subscription thing they lost me forever (And they had over a decade of me as a customer before that, platinum pack and all that.). But those two plugs, yeah I still use.
So Audio Sorcerer, with the new third party insert slot is it compatible with AAX format third party plugins? Thanks, and keep up the great work you're doing for the recording community.
I appreciate the kind words! You can't load AAX plugins into the Scheps Omni Channel 2. Whenever you get a plugin, make sure to install both the AAX and VST3 versions so that you can access them with this plugin. 👍
@AudioSorcerer thanks again for responding. At one point, I was downloading at least one vst and then decided I'll never use vst format because of the daw I'm using (protools). So maybe I'll start back downloading vst again. Again thanks Dan you're one of the best content creators in the business.
You can also add another instance and disable all the other tools, leaving the slot open. That'll get you 2. My experience is that this is a cpu-friendly unit. I've been using the original since it came out.

It definitely is a great plugin! 👍

Those are both great plugins 👍
Can you bypass individual modules within this rack?

VST3 is open source, but to develop on AAX you need to be AVID developer and sign docs, so that's why it's not possible
You can only insert ONE third party VST3 plugin, that is a downer and not worth the upgrade for my taste.
I suppose you can always just use it within the Waves Studio Rack. 👍

@@AudioSorcerer That wouldn't be a downer thing to do lol
