    Well done. The air suspension option would have helped you a lot here. One tip to try... you did a lot of start-stop on the throttle when you hit obstacles but my understanding is that slow steady throttle would be better. You want to give the computer time to feel the slip and calculate where the power should be sent. Very different from a vehicle with lockers. I really like our Q7... I should get it off-road some time when my wife's not looking! lol

    My wife's Q7 has the air ride / all wheel steering.. It has NO issues on these easier trails. Great rigs. Great video. Glad you are using the Audi how it would be used ANYWHERE else in the world. But the US.. haha

      @@BrettMedia We have had it on a couple of passes in Telluride Co.. The one I remember most, is Ophir pass. And we take it up to Crested Butte for hiking when we are out there. And a couple of other off road trails to get to hiking spots. The Audi is our going to town car, and travel car. It has been amazing. Great fuel economy and will run 100+mph all day long.. AND you can get a massage while doing it?? Audi's are amazing. It is our 3rd Audi, second Q7.

      The Quattro System is on hit, definitely finds traction on any surface. The only thing bad is the low ground clearance and wrong wheel tire combo. But really need a 4x4 for most trails.

    Super charger sounds sick! I really like the platform i have a diesel cayenne. Got it with 20s and have done all kinds of stuff with it. Handles really well on the street but I'm looking at getting some 18s

    • @BrettMedia
      @BrettMedia  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the support @elijahcavin2408 yeah I made the blower whine a lot more noticeable. You should check out that video too. I like the Cayenne as well. I saw one at Moab go up Hells Gate last summer. They are more off-road capable than people think. The only things that hold them back are the street tire and low ground clearance. Thanks again and I hope you subscribe for more content. I appreciate your comment.

      @@BrettMedia Yeah, that's why I'm going with an 18 with a higher profile tire. Hoping to get a 31.5 or 32 and a lift in the future. It's not a jeep but plenty capable for exploring with a competent driver and some extra protection. I was impressed with what you did with the low profiles.

    Dude, you did great up to where you ended the video. I am amazed you and the Audii all-wheel drive handled the backroads. I thought for sure you were going to puncture a tire with the low profile tires. Normally you should air down.
    Anyway Great Job!

      Yeah, I made it pretty far up the trail and was about 3/4 of the way to the top but ran out of daylight. I really wasn’t planning on running a trail that day and obviously my Audi is not made for that sort of road. All and all the Audi did great for a pavement pounder. Lol

    What lift would you put on it? Full suspension?

    • @BrettMedia
      @BrettMedia  2 месяца назад

      Well to be honest I wouldn’t put a lift on mine but I think Eurowise may have some spacer kits for it. I think the 2017 + would have a harder time to find a kit for than the older Q7. Mine is probably not going off-road again since we have the Jeep Wrangler on the channel now. But if I was going to lift the Q7 I would use coil overs and custom fabricate my own kit. Thanks for your comment, and I appreciate the support!
