- In this video i will show you how to install Anbox App Manager and Google Play Store for Linux operating system for your Laptop or Desktop Computer.
Technically, you can’t call it an emulator. Because, Anbox uses containerization technology to run Android apps on Linux just as LXC and Docker runs different Linux containers.

All the thanks goes to the developers who made this possible and make it so simple to install on your linux running PC.
Everything works perfectly well on my linux laptop running Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS.
Also i am this on a old acer aspire v5-531 laptop PC that was released in 2012 the specs are low end with a intel pentium celeron processor, 4gb of ram ddr3 and a integrated intel graphics and everything worked just like on a Android tablet or smartphone running smooth without lag. Хобби
Came for the tutorial, stayed for the music.
Okay, so I'm quite new to this Linux system. I love it, there is so much more stuff to do, and it is more stable and perfect for work! I was wondering about android running on Linux Mint though, I started researching and this video came up. And with a very easy-to-follow tutorial I now can run my apps! Thanks bro!

Is it emulating the android or is it running it natively?
Cuz linux and android has the same base and if it's running natively it should perform better than windows emulators right?
Well, Android and a Linux distro have as much in common as a car and a tractor. The basic concept (=the cernel) is the same, but everything on top is pretty different.
So basically the performance depends much more on the performance of the emulation layer than the host os.
And here it comes down to number of coders and commitment to the project.
It is neither emulating, nor running natively.
It is a compatibility layer. That's somewhere in between.
A compatibility layer, and acts kind of like a translator between application and host OS, in this case:
Application make OS-call to Android :: Anbox tranlates this to an equivalent OS-call to Linux :: Linux replies to Anbox :: Anbox tranlates to an Android-reply to the app.
This is similar to Wine, to run Windows applications under Linux. Some applications run fine, and some don't.
I run some Windows applications using Wine. Very nice option, whenever the application is unavailable for Linux, but compatible with Wine.
@@thorbjrnhellehaven5766 Thank you very much for the info
@@thorbjrnhellehaven5766 You win the internet - along with OP who made this video.
whats that music in background
No idea.

I'm installing linux just to do this lmao plus I'm getting tired of windows making my slow laptop even more slower
Perfeito!
Why don't they make Linux less complicated
linux is not complicated when you get used to it but on some stuff it really requires some extra steps for example installing experimental apps that are in beta and drivers that is why it looks scary to most people trying it out for the first time.
@@ApkHeaven yeah
im trying to install play store so i can get roblox and other mobile apps
Even if you get the hang of it over time it doesn´t change that the learning curve is a steep one. I´ve been using it ocasinally for a few months and I still fin it hard to get some stuff that I want installed when in Windows I just look it up on the web browser and donwload the EXE to get the job done.
true honestly
pls tell this is real
now i can play gareena free fire !!!!!!!!!!!
thank you
