Great review as always. I will never understand why LG does not include the same DAC in the U.S model... Other than that, the G6 is a very solid offering.

LG G6 - Best Front camera of the year, but WORST selfie camera of 2017. If you don't ever take selfies, video chats, and it's not a deal breaker, then this phone is awesome.
Omg I tried to take a selfie with it and no matter how I held it, either the top of my head or bottom of my face looked way bigger than it actually is. Stupid. Couldn't take a normal photo
Strangerer69 yes ... I'm a camera pro (I'm not just bragging ... Take a look at my FLICKR feed www.flickr.com/photos/131492147@N06/ ) and I never take selfies ... Ever LMAO ... This phone was like built for me ... I considered it over the OP5 because of the camera and smaller width makes it way easier to handle
@@garrettwest461 I'm a girl. And no, I don't have "a big ass head". I don't know if you understood what I said, but the image was wonky no matter how it was held. I'm not having the same issue with my note 8 now and my S8 plus I used before. Just the lg g6
I am telling you man. Don't go for sony. I had a very bad experience with z1. Go for pixel if you have that much money. Or op3t if you are in a budget.
If I trust one tech reviewer: IT'S YOU! 😊 Great review! I still own a LG G4. Unfortunately the battery is incredibly awful and doesn't even last half a day by medium to heavy usage which is why the LG G6 will not be my phone just because I am a bit scared of LG by now 😅
MinderestingPictures my G4 suffers from the same thing. battery drains in a matter of hours even with brightness at around 45% im really looking forward to the g6 but ill wait to see what Samsung is going to offer
I've never used a LG phone but I recoomend you to root your phone and install a custom rom. It's not that difficult and it will solve most of your battery problems and more.
isn't LG actually one of the fastest OEMs in terms of updates? I mean, they introduced the first, non Pixel phone with 7.0 Nougat. I haven't had an LG Phone since the G3 but to me it seems like LG is reasonable with updates
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] They probably should buck it up. The G4 and V10 initially weren't going to get Nougat, but after an uproar, they reversed that decision.
Here's my problem: Let's compare the G6 against the V20. The G6 has waterproofing, wireless charging, and easier to reach screen, and a slightly better camera. The V20 has a removable battery, ir blaster, Quad DAC, and aSecond Screen. I'd still take the V20 over the G6. They should have made a bigger upgrade. Where is LG Pay? Where is the Quad DAC? And they should have waited for the 835 to become available. It's still a great phone, but imo the V20 is better.
Dude, I have been a big fan of your videos since the early days of pocket now. I'm so glad you branched off to start Mr mobile. Your videos keep getting better and better. 🤙
It's designed to use minimal power. LG manged to pull off an always-on screen that consumes as little power as samsung's AMOLED while still on an LCD. I find that pretty neat.
No phone can really, if you start watching videos, playing games and reading news at 8am by 1 or 2 pm your phone is gonna be dead if you set it at max brightness, and for me max is the bare minimum for screen brightness.
GSMArena Endurance Rating test proved that LG has better AOD power management than Samsung even with a less efficient screen technology. LG G5 with AOD isn't even far behind the LG G5 w/o AOD (maybe around 4 hours behind, but not close to 10 hours of difference), while the S7 & S7 Edge do worse when they have AOD enabled (around 10-12 hours of difference), and I suspect that because AMOLEDs don't have backlight is why the S7 & S7 Edge scored so much worse with AOD than without it
i just like how MrMobile review this phone. Classy voice with space-nintendo game theme effect something like that, and of course the Intro is good too. Thats why i subscribe and watch every newest MrMobile video. Keep going dude, Love you (y)
I really, really enjoy your videos. Your reviews are the kind I've been longing for since I became a smartphone fanatic. This phone looks pretty nice, and my main qualification when picking a phone is a good camera. It's for that reason I got the G4. That has turned out to be my biggest mistake since I got my first phone in 2001. I got my (first) G4 in August of 2015. Since that day, I have had not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE LG G4's. And, truly, this is solely at the fault of LG. I first got hit with the "serial range" of defective devices. A few days before Christmas, my front facing camera began to malfunction. It was unusable. It wouldn't have become an urgent issue had it not been for the fact that it began to affect any app that could utilize the front facing camera. So, if I were to open any of those apps, it would crash, and the phone would reboot. Onto device number two. Device number two began giving me a charging error in conjunction with the power button sticking. That made for a phone that was constantly lit up, and wouldn't charge. Onto device number three. Device number three was the worst. One fateful day while working out, solely running spotify on my device, my music stopped. I attempted to light up my screen to see what was happening - it was rebooting. And that is how it left me. It rebooted until I took the battery out. I replaced the battery, continued to reboot. By this point, I'd gotten on the computer, checked the forums, and recognized that I had just entered the bootloop of death. Took it to my provider (sprint), they said, as if I didn't know, "we'll have to replace it." Only the problem this time was that LG was experiencing a nation wide shortage on the G4 BECAUSE of these issues, and I waited a total of 28 days for my replacement device. During this time, I had to purchase a pay as you go phone from Target so I wasn't left without one altogether. LG's customer service offered the brilliant suggestion of "Sending it in to see if we can do something to help." Yes, that's right - they asked me to send in a device that I'd already stated Sprint was in possession of. I all but assaulted their social media accounts until I received my replacement device. Which was number four. Number four, once again, had charging issues. Not a "loose port" issue, a won't charge issue. Wireless or corded, it wouldn't charge. Replacement number five, which I'm on now, has to be factory reset every few weeks, or else all my apps start crashing. Even after a fresh reset, I'm constantly getting "the process android.media has stopped" and other similar messages. These issues have occurred across 3 SD cards, so it's not that. I do not install apps from outside sources. I do not watch pornography or visit suspicious sites (people always assume that, given my wide range of issues.) Choosing the G4 was absolutely the worst decision possible. It's unfortunate because I really, really like the way LG sets things up. I like it's UI tweaks, LOVE the camera, and the speaker, though small and singular, has the capability of getting TOO loud for my liking. That's impressive. This review makes me question my sanity, because after all that, (not to mention the rebooting/resetting issues I had with the two former LG devices I've owned), I would STILL consider getting this device. And that is the complete explanation of how much I enjoy your reviews.
I had almost similar problems with my 2013 LG Optimus G. And I loved it too much get rid of it. Later it decided to get rid of me by sliding out of my pocket while I was in a bus (and I never found out till I disembarked and the bus drove off). The funny part is, while I watched Michael Fisher's review on Pocketnow where he mentioned that that was a possibility, I kept thinking who would be thick enough to lose a phone like that?
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] I believe you're right. It's become a running joke amongst my friends. I've considered trying an iPhone just to see if it's cross-platform 😂 but I would greatly miss my widgets and home screen. Oh well.
THE BEST ... hands down the greatest tech RUclipsr (Michael Fisher aka MrMobile) hoping for million subscribers very soon.. awesome content as like always keep it up buddy.
This phone is fucking beautiful. After last year's, uhm.. Yea.. It's nice to see such an incredible device from LG :] This and the S8 looking like phone of the year
You got the final version? sweet! would be nice if this thing has Fast wireless charging, kinda sucks you guys in the states don't get the improved DAC though. Great review! always dig your attention to detail and working that background audio :)
The only thing I want from you is at least 3 videos like this in a week! @Michael your frequency is very less, RUclips needs more review videos like this! :)
great review mr mobile, advice please for 1-2years usage which one i should buy between this G6 or oneplus 5? which is better on features and camera? thanks
OnePlus 5 has better performance however it won't be noticed unless your a power user. Lg G6 has a way better camera and a more recognized brand. Lg g6 is also waterproof. In terms of features both of them have a lot of features. Lg's software features feel a little gimmicky tho.
Bought a G6 in July 2018 and loved it. The charge port started fucking up in August of 2020. Replaced it with an iPhone 11 and returned the iPhone 11 a week later. Aside from recording video, the G6 does everything else better and runs just as fast. I replaced my old G6 with a "like new" condition G6 I bought for $150 CDN. Suck it Apple, lol.
Great review. I actually finally bought a U Ultra, 100 euros less than the G6. Just a note: 5.7 inches is the diagonal, which means that the screen area of G6 is lower than the one of U ultra...
The processor is understandable, but LG seems to have really cheaped out on the front camera. 5MP is just no good anymore. No one wants grainy selfies. 8MP is the sweet spot.
Funny that my sister's 2-year old LG G4 has an 8mp front camera. If you want true great selfies on a flagship, the XZ, XZs, XZ Premium are the way to go with 13mp front cameras, as well as the X, and X Performance
I'm afraid to buy another LG because I never get OS updates. My G4 is still operating on the OS it released on. 6.0 marshmallow. my old g3 is still on lollipop. I dunno I never get updates. And the battery my current g4 is abysmal, the battery on this phone reminds me some scary times with this g4. Honestly I'm not about to pay a premium price for a phone that has a questionable battery life and the fear of paying hundreds of dollars for a phone that will stop being supported in a year.
Anmol Singh if you live in America I highly recommend anything but a Samsung product. The snapdragon processor combined with touch wiz becomes incredibly slow after only a few months of use. I currently have an s7 edge and I'll never again own a Samsung phone unless it has a exynos chip in it.
+ Garrett Snook I live in India, but I will be moving to Canada soon. What are your thoughts about a Oneplus 3T? Or should I wait for Oneplus 5? any expected release date on it?
Before everyone crowns Samsung the king of 2017...the s8 has a small battery, single camera lens, crap location for fingerprint scanner, iris scanners take forever and look stupid, a curved screen that is hard to protect, and the SD 835 is completely unproven and could have problems like the 810.
I just wanted to say that while I've been looking for a new phone I have loved your videos. You have been extremely helpful while also being enjoyable to watch. Love your content, man. After deciding on the G6, I've decided to subscribe just for the heck of it.Thank you for your good work!
Samsung has delayed the release of the S8 because of this "blowing up" situation to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Hell, they even made an apology video and had a conference about it. I doubt that will ever happen again.
Incremental and I still doubt Samsung will get rid of the lag that I get randomly on the s7edge. Also the battery. I'm getting LG G6 and then the Pixel 2.
Negan Lannister actually the snapdragon 808 was better than the 810 because after 20 minutes playing a game, any phone with that processor would start lagging because of the heating problems, whereas the performance of the 808 would remain almost the same.
Nice review. The thing I like about this channel the challenge between the members of this channel. They their own carezma . This is great waiting for the challenge from moto group
Switched to G6 from Huawei P9, a lot of the decision making has been helped by this video. Loving it! But still keeping the P9 the auto camera is so underrated.
Another great video from Mr. Mobile. This is kind of odd. Normally I have no issues with your transitions, but the one at 2:07 where one side of the screen goes up and the other goes down, made me feel dizzy and disoriented.
When you compared the HTC Ultra to the LG g6 @2:02, I almost thought the HTC was a phone from 2011 because of how ancient it looked. I had to rewatch that bit to be sure that it was HTCs latest phone.
To me Apple got the right dual lens combo of approx 50mm and 28mm. Maybe that is not the best for taking a shot of my lunch, but when shooting a portrait or the beach 50mm is the lens length that works best for the most shots. That is why back in the day a "standard" lens was a 50.
why sleep when Mr. Mobile uploads?

This comes out with no bezels, Galaxy S8 leaks have no bezels, and rumors for new iPhone also have no bezels. Will this be the year bezel-less phones finally become mainstream!?!?!
Also those round screen corners look absolutely beautiful!
"no bezels"
turnermic17 Yeah I'm liking this new trend of near bezel-less phones. Finally they don't have to feel like tablets in your hands
turnermic17 this is not bezel less, not even close. The side bezels are barely smaller than the note 5's bezel, if not bigger. And hmm what is that on the top and bottom? It's a fucking bezel.
7lameboy Yeah you wouldn't want a bezel-less phone unless it comes with some kickass palm rejection. Other then that no.
That "bezeless" thing is nothing but an optical illusion. the screens curve makes it liike like there is no bezel from the front but the actual bezel is no different. Remember the Sharp Aquos Crystal? Looks like it doesnt have bezels because the screens edges are tapered.
Beautiful review looking forward to getting my hands on this beast!

Watching this in 2021 with my g6 i got in 2017 for half the price of comparable phones. It has served me exceptionally well and it still does everything I need while still looking good doing it. Sad to see LG go.
I'm also sad to see LG pulling out of the smartphone market. I also watch this video with my G6. And I just learned after a year of use that it has wireless charging
As a G6 user as of 6-22-19,
Pros-
-Fingerprint sensor works almost all the time
-Its weight is balanced
-The settings and layout are easy to use
-The wide angle camera is still awesome despite newer phones with better cameras
-Extra storage option is always a must
-Flat screen
-The resolution is crisp and clean
Meh-
-Its speed is kind of getting a bit slower, Probably due to something on my end
-Without a case it can be slippery but I use a case for it.
Cons-
-In the first half the Battery life was fantastic but recently it seems to drain much faster than before, even when turning off location,WiFi,Bluetooth and such,I have AOD off, I always seem to keep the phone face down anyway as well.
-Before I put a case on the phone I was setting the phone down very carefully but still managed to get a small crack on the chin of the phone with in a week.
-My headphone jack seems to not function too well. I get a weird static plugging it in to speakers or headphones and the sound is half muting itself with a bit of static sound if you do not have it at the correct degree being perfectly perpendicular to the input and holding it there and praying it does not get jarred from where it was.(Tested with my August Headphones, Car Aux imput, 808 Bluetooth speaker Aux input, and basically any other Aux input)
-The vibrate function worked once then broke.
overall this phone served me well, despite the cons that surfaced after a while outside of the headphone jack which was like that since the beginning.

Depends on the market. And security updates != Android updates. LG isn't the worst by any means ... but it also doesn't have a sterling record.

You keep churning out one of the best quality tech videos on RUclips. Keep going.

This phone is fucking beautiful. After last year's, uhm.. Yea.. It's nice to see such an incredible device from LG :] This and the S8 looking like phone of the year
Dingleberry Tech iPhone 8
You got the final version? sweet! would be nice if this thing has Fast wireless charging, kinda sucks you guys in the states don't get the improved DAC though. Great review! always dig your attention to detail and working that background audio :)
Paused my work just to watch this.
Really love your editing in the beginning with the clap transitions! GO MR MOBILE 500k subs soon!
The only thing I want from you is at least 3 videos like this in a week! @Michael your frequency is very less, RUclips needs more review videos like this! :)
Quality takes time.
I'm sure it does. Thanks! Hope to see your next video soon!
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] which wallpaper u use in this video in g6
4:52 I thought he was gonna dip it in the coffee, too. haha
great review mr mobile, advice please for 1-2years usage which one i should buy between this G6 or oneplus 5? which is better on features and camera? thanks
OnePlus 5 has better performance however it won't be noticed unless your a power user. Lg G6 has a way better camera and a more recognized brand. Lg g6 is also waterproof. In terms of features both of them have a lot of features. Lg's software features feel a little gimmicky tho.
thanks for ur video man! good advice and i got the g6 finally! and loving it since! cheers from indonesia!
What is this game with air fighter in 6:24?
Sky Gamblers, Air supremacy
Bought a G6 in July 2018 and loved it. The charge port started fucking up in August of 2020. Replaced it with an iPhone 11 and returned the iPhone 11 a week later. Aside from recording video, the G6 does everything else better and runs just as fast. I replaced my old G6 with a "like new" condition G6 I bought for $150 CDN. Suck it Apple, lol.
Yet another intelligent, well spoken , honest and unbiased review by Mr. Michael Fisher
Great review. I actually finally bought a U Ultra, 100 euros less than the G6. Just a note: 5.7 inches is the diagonal, which means that the screen area of G6 is lower than the one of U ultra...
Did you know that you can zoom in youtube videos to get the 18:9 ratio right?😎
How do you do that ??
@@l30x19 you can pinch the screen
Don't pinch do the opposite
How Mr.Moble nonchalantly give you all the specs without putting you to sleep...👌
Shawn Mendes If you want the best selfies you could just...you know, turn your phone around and use the rear camera. It's an option.
TroublingStatueVII ain't no one got time for that
Tentacular It quite literally takes less than a second to turn your phone around, but whatever.
TroublingStatueVII Then why even have the front camera if it's useless?!
no other reviewer keeps my attention for the entire video expect mr mobile great review!
Great Vid as always!! Can I take parts of this video while giving Mr. Mobile credit?(for my new channel)
As long as there's a credited link in the description and a card linking to this video, that's fine! Thanks for asking!
Sure, I would do all of those! Thanks for replying and approval! Am feeling blessed to have a reply, I am a BIIIGG FAN!!
MrMobile [Michael Fisher] is that afterburner or a newer jet game?
A truly beautifully filmed review. Hats off
I'm afraid to buy another LG because I never get OS updates.
LG G6 along with OP5 are still YHE BEST phones yet ... You can't argue with that price tag
I have bought the G6 and I absolutely LOVE IT
For me the G6 looks better than S8's leak, but yeah gotta wait for the real thing then I will decide which to choose.
Yep I choose LG G6.
the part of you drinking with the phone inside your drink... really makes my day! :D
I still like the pixel better
Micheal, love your work, going way back to pocketnow days. keep up the great work.
Who else is watching in lg g6 and in 2018
2021
Man I really love your work, you are awesome at what you do.
LIKE A G6 LIKE A G6
I'm so sorry..
NRSchertz jerryrig everything did it too
I understand you for the meme. It's too tempting.
great and insightful review as always Mr Fisher:) excellent editing
This phone is impressive, puts the P10 to shame.
Thank you for another great presentation Mr. Mobile! 👏👏👏
Michael it's 1 AM, please.
3 AM here. Literally watching a last video before bed.
Mr Fisher, great review as always!
If you would recommend one phone to me, what would it be Mr.Mobile? (Budget = $800)
Anmol Singh
What's most important for You? Battery? Camera? Tell us somethinf
Anmol Singh Get the iPhone 7 Plus 128. Or if Android, the Huawei P10 or Sony XZ Premium (Kirin 960, Snapdragon 835).
+Kuba Fabianowicz I would say Camera and battery, yeah.
The video editing is impeccable!!!!!
G6 is best Flagship made by Lg
I had to look up the definition of anathema. Why must you be a poet in your reviews?
Before everyone crowns Samsung the king of 2017...the s8 has a small battery, single camera lens, crap location for fingerprint scanner, iris scanners take forever and look stupid, a curved screen that is hard to protect, and the SD 835 is completely unproven and could have problems like the 810.
I just wanted to say that while I've been looking for a new phone I have loved your videos. You have been extremely helpful while also being enjoyable to watch. Love your content, man. After deciding on the G6, I've decided to subscribe just for the heck of it.Thank you for your good work!
_Who's here after the demise of _*_LG_*_ ?_
RIP.
This is one hell of an artistic review of an equally compelling artistic phone. Abundance of awesomeness.
galaxy s8 will let look theese flagships from lg sony huwai htc apple like years years older things
yeah, can't wait for it to blow up.
Sorry if progress sometimes requires taking a step back.
Just because they curved the screen doesnt mean they are better...
I love your videos and your humours, it is always fun to watch your videos and thank you for these awesome videos!
Hard Pass. After the horrible G4, Under-specced V10, AWFUL G5 & 'Meh' V20, why would anyone get this over a S8 or really, the iPhone 7 Plus?
Negan Lannister
Negan Lannister actually the snapdragon 808 was better than the 810 because after 20 minutes playing a game, any phone with that processor would start lagging because of the heating problems, whereas the performance of the 808 would remain almost the same.
The G4 was great, the V10 was good, and the V20 is great. But no, it can't be, because it's not Samsung right?
jnjjules I never said that. I said it was underwhelming!
Michael Galli the s8 should be better, but I still think the v20 is amazing
that original Optimus G was so nice. I absolutely loved the design of that phone.
Man you should do documentaries, great explanation!
still one of my favorite phone reviewers. great work as usual.
Another Mr. Fisher video, another good day....
Thanks Mr Mobile for this Review
Nice review. The thing I like about this channel the challenge between the members of this channel. They their own carezma .
This is great waiting for the challenge from moto group
your reviews are just the best! straight to the point! keep up the good work 👍
Switched to G6 from Huawei P9, a lot of the decision making has been helped by this video. Loving it! But still keeping the P9 the auto camera is so underrated.
Another great video from Mr. Mobile. This is kind of odd. Normally I have no issues with your transitions, but the one at 2:07 where one side of the screen goes up and the other goes down, made me feel dizzy and disoriented.
nice combo you got there. pairing G6 with MDR 1000X is awesome with aptX HD available on G6 and supported by MDR 100X (though standard aptx only)
When you compared the HTC Ultra to the LG g6 @2:02, I almost thought the HTC was a phone from 2011 because of how ancient it looked. I had to rewatch that bit to be sure that it was HTCs latest phone.
Great review thanks Mr.Mobile
The black G6 from the front looks like a proper htc. That's a good thing in my book
I bought my G6, on Nouget 7.0 back in April 2017..... Jan 2018 and its STILL on 7.0, with a promise of an Oreo update in spring...this year i hope.
awesome job as usual.always look forward to your vids.learn a lot about mobiles and gadgets from you
love all your video they are very informative and always fun to watch
You are doing such a fantastic job. I love all your videos. Same league as MKBHD now for me at least.
Best Mr.Mobile intro, sipping water with g6 in it lol
To me Apple got the right dual lens combo of approx 50mm and 28mm. Maybe that is not the best for taking a shot of my lunch, but when shooting a portrait or the beach 50mm is the lens length that works best for the most shots. That is why back in the day a "standard" lens was a 50.
Dat camera 👌. Been loving LG's camera tech in the last few years.
This videos been the first positive part of my birthday.
Hope your bday gets better, dude!
