More and more Creators, Designers and Crafters are moving towards Sublimation. Many have purchased and converted the Workforce 7310, 7820, & 7840 into a Sublimation Printer. The problem is, not many are educated about the updates that are being pushed out by the manufacture. Why is this a problem? Well, the updates do not work well with after market cartridges and chips. How do we set it up/download without it automatically doing the update while installing?

Is there anyway to reverse it or be able to use these chips again if firmware update has happened? I have epson 7840
@@taylorhelton5486 We wish that we could tell you that there is, however, we were in direct contact with Epson Support and while they have the ability to share a previous version fo the Firmware, they will not. Sooo, if an update was done, there is nothing you can do to reverse it.
How do you fix the printer after you've already done the firmware update??

I'm going through a conversion now and I'm finishing up my drive install and the FIRMWARE UPDATE popped up. I'm not sure why BUT THIS THREW UP MENTAL RED FLAGS.....MAYBE I RAN ACROSS THE INFORMATION and just didn't remember. Anyway I STOPPED AND STARTED LOOKING IT UP AND CAME ACROSS YOUR POST AND IM GLAD I DID. THERE'S NOT MANY POST ON THIS TOPIC SO IM GLAD AND I APPRECIATE YOUR POST.....💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

How do I update my driver verison? I have a epson 7310 and the driver is on 3.0 so I don’t have all the print settings 😔
So do I need to purchase a new printer or just new chips? My printer isn’t recognizing any ink cartridges
My printer did a firmware update on July 4, 2023 and now it will not work. Will your chips work on that update? If so, I would buy a set of your chips. I now have it turned off I did not know to do that before.

I need Help!! My Epson wf7310 is printing the black ink blue. When I print the nozzle check sheet it is perfect. I don't know what to do!
Hi, try to do the push air/ink throw method. We have a video on here. The printer we used is not the same but it works the same for the wf7310. Hopefully it will help. Also make sure your vent plugs are removed ( the clear plug at the back of the cartridge)

Hi. I just happened to stumble upon your channel. This video is from 2 years ago. Question: Does everything in this video still applies today? Does this also applies to the Epson Ecotank Printers? Does it matter if these printers are inkjet or sublimation (as far as setting it to "Never")? Thank you in advance for responding back to me. ❤😊

I did the firmware update from 3.05 to 3.06 by mistake. My fillable cartridges won't read anymore, so I had to buy new ink. I didn't go for the SAWGRASS as 300.00 is a bit ridiculous for price. After having a email war with SAWGRASS representatives trying to get my firmware reversed, they told me I would void my warranty, told them I don't have any warranty. Everything was working fine before the firmware with my refillables. So forced to buy new ink, I bought HIPPO compatible ink for the SAWGRASS. It won't read INK levels on two of the compatible cartridges but it still prints, I just won't know when I'm out of ink. Good Grief. So I'm thinking of taking the Chips from the HIPPO ink and replacing on my refillable cartridges, it should read crossing fingers.
@@northernmetisyep sawgrass took forever to email me back. Try powering off your printer and back on. That fixed my ink levels.

I'm thinking of purchasing the 7310..so i f I get it now..does that mean when I install it. It will have the new version of update that won't accept off market chips? Or is it still ok to install new and then change to never update after that?
If your printer brand new there are no updates at all. So when you convert your printer toy sublimation printer do you need to make sure that you turn off the automatic updates and do not except any updates that are being pushed by Epson. I hope This answers your question.
@@theblanksspot that's great thankyou. One other thing please. So I'm from the UK and there is a company here that does that does the blank cartridges with the chipe resetter. From watching your previous video on how to turn the 7310 into a sub. I think you said that's not available as of yet? And chips are of use one time. Sorry if I'm wrong. So can there be a chip resetter for this item? Just so I know its legit. Thanks in advance

Useful information, but my printer did a firmware update already & now it won’t recognize 2 of the inks, so is there now a way to fix this ?
Unfortunately the update usually kills the cyan & magenta. Have to get new chips.

@@purplediamond3028 I know and you’re absolutely right! It does suck, however the manufacturer has realized that we’re using these printers as a work around to avoid purchasing an expensive sub printer. These updates are meant for regular use printers not ones that are modified. We do however sell the chips.
