Thank you once again for the great video...So is it my understanding that we are not to use the DVD installation disk that comes with the wf 7840 when converting the printer to sublimation. Instead we should go to the epson site and download the printer drivers for the wf7840. So with doing this we are avoiding downloading the firmware from the epson installation DVD?

After downloading combo package to my 7820, i still do not have these options in Printing Preferences.
Are these the settings you use when printing onto cotton? Also, if not, where do you get bulk polyester tshirts from?

Yes. Only way you can use cotton if it is 65% poly - 35% cotton or 50/50 poly-cotton blends, for 100% cotton may have to test out other products.
No license can go to www.jiffyshirts.com to get polyester tees

No. You will have to find your settings, then printer, and will have few options on your printer. Should be 3rd one from top. Hope that helps

Yes. Those settings I used on mugs.

yes you have to download the software www.epson.com/support.. search your printer, download, and you are good to go.

There are some vinyl that you can, new holographic vinyl at www.heattransferwarehouse.com,but yest white glitter vinyl too.. Siser EasySubli another one.

Hello and ok. Go to www.epson.com/support .....then type your printer or find it, and download recommended drivers only, and DONT UPDATE ANY FIRMWARE ON PRINTER (can turn off notification on your printer).
Sorry Kenny 🤦🏾♀️ but I need your help once more. I’m trying to print a picture but the panel on the front on my printer is reading (mismatch of paper)🤔 “The paper size and type set in paper tray does not match specified Print Settings.)
Think you have watched the presets & preferences video? Example if you load paper, printer going to ask, selection is "PREMIUM PAPER MATTE", and do not use auto select source meaning - if load cassette 1 pick cassette 1... less thinking for printer.
Also if you have the option like a print preview, when that happens see the window, click print preferences and select your preset.
So either select paper option on printer when loading paper, or select the preset when on computer during print preview (better option). Load 1 sublimation paper at a time.

Is there any workforce wide format printer that the chips are reusable?
For now some are using Epson EcoTanks for me as example: EcoTank 3760 & 15000 (bigger version, not the premium one).
@@diywithkenny8399 Kenny, I just got a sublimation printer, err a 7840 I'm converting, anyway your videos are a great help, I wanted to ask if you ever tried a chip resetter on your WF840 tanks (812XL). I got some original Epson cartridges and mine came with empty Epson tanks and a black one that still works. I'm going to try resetting the black tank with a Wide Format Epson Cartridge Resetter. I got it for 12 dollars on Amazon. All di best!

Hello, I did everything you said but I don’t get to fully understand 😔 I have the 7820 and a hp computer and I already did everything but can’t seem to print a 13x19 idk what I’m doing wrong 😑.
Use the paper tray that top back of printer, should be size A3+.. load the paper and adjust the blue slider and should see the size. Then that how you can add as preset, UNCHECK bidirectional. Hope that helps
After editing and saving my printer preferences for sub paper 11x17 and making sure everything was correct and saving the settings as you did in the video when trying to print and the print preview is shown it switches back to 8.5x11 every time what am I doing wrong please help and thanks
I converted a brand new wf-7840 and installed the drivers just like you said ( connected through wifi). I changed the print setting. The printer only prints black and white. I don't know what's going on.

Hello. When you converted your printer, did you download the "Recommended Drivers" from www.epson/support ⁉️. If not then download that 1st, then you should see those options for presets. Let me know if that helped or still a issue

Did you download the drivers from www.epson.com/support ? That will fix the problem. Please disable the firmware update in settings or CANCEL FIRMWARE UPDATE.. dont accept

Ok now worries. Whenever you get the chance, check to see you downloaded rexommended drivers from the site in my other replies. I'm around so we xan help figure it out.
I converted my wf 7820 to sublimation it was fine until it was updated now it will not recognize 3 of my inks I'm losing customers need help
Hello. What did you update? You may have to carefully take out cartridges and insert them again. I know this can be annoying.

@Beverly Sims Hello again. Had to do some research because all epson printers are setup now not to accept any 3rd party cartridges/chips. DO NOT UPDATE FIRMWARE please. Watch these videos and this should be the easiest way to get back printer to work, be careful scratching off (2 parts):

I've walked through this video and I'm having issues with getting the presets to recognize the sub paper and the mirror image option.
Hello. Okay & will have to ask some questions.
1. When setting up your presets, did you name it and saved it? Would show up on left hand side of the window.
2. After setting that up: When you print your design; Click print, then selected printer, then click on your preset - Did you see your preset?
Now only thing when doing your preset, you have to pick "PREMIUM PAPER MATTE" for sublimation paper. Also check "MIRROR IMAGE" & uncheck "BiDirectional" if you want too for more quality prints (run slower).

I ended up having to go onto the Epson printer directly and change the settings. I'm still having an issue with getting the "Mirror" option to show up so that I can change the print option. Can you assist me? Thx

I did everything you did on the video but my light blues and greys are coming out with a green in them.
Hello Lex, try a few print head cleanings, use regular copying paper for the print test. May have to do this more than 2x. I had to do mines 6x for the red color. Let me know how it goes.
@@diywithkenny8399 I've done that. I literally wasted a ton of ink. I had fixed it and went with a different setting for it to work. Then i did some shotglasss and my light blue came out like a turquoise. So i went back to the settings in the video n still not the correct color.
@@lexjohnson5056 Alright now under your pribter preferences, do you have your color correction on CUSTOM: click advance tab, Color controls selected, color mode on Epson Vivid. Color Adjustment Meth on Slide Bar, Cyan on positive 2, Magenta on negative 20 (-20), yellow negative 15 (-15)? I use those for my color correction.

Hello. Did you just convert printer? Have you download the "recommemd drivers" from www.epson.com/support (find printer then download recommend drivers). Also DO NOT UPDATE FIRMWARE ON PRINTER, can turn off notification in your printer settings. Let me know additional help
