In this video we will be converting the Epson WF-7310 to a Sublimation Dye Printer. We will be using the 812xl Refillable Ink Cartridges with Replacement Chips that we ordered from our Vendor.

@@theblanksspot Hi guys I wonder could you help me I’ve got 7310 printer only starting with sublimation, I’ve printed out about 30 images which all is perfect, but now my printer is printing out images with speckles through the Image. I am unsure where to point myself. Everything is like what you guys have.
@@rjs6663 Hi it could be your printer setting. Some settings (ex. Premium Matte) seem to put out a lot of ink that will sometimes cause this issue.

Thank you for this video I had my 7310 printer for 5 months put in sublimation ink with the chip I got from Amazon but it would not print I did everything from doing nozzle check and then some but just watching your video learn about the vent plug I bet you that’s the problem can’t wait to get home and see if this the problem if not I will be reaching out to you and probably be buying your ink and cartridges

Hi. I think I am ready to make the jump and purchase the printer. Just a few questions. Is the price N term a wireless printer how long does the ink last in the cartridge just dont want to have to spend alot of money on replacing ink and chips. Help! I replaced my black ink and it won't print black ink now! I changed the chip, did the print head clean after it initialized and it recognized the chip because I don't have an error message and it shows me the black is full, it just won't print the black ink! I am freaking out 😭
HI, So my question is. What if we were to fill the cartridge before it even said it was low or let it get empty would we still need a new chip?
These chips read pages, it does not know how much ink is it it. It says "500 pages drains the ink" so it'll stop after 500 pages. Something like that.
Do I have to replace cartridges or just the chips?

Okay so I epically failed at refilling my new ink cartridges with my brand new machine!! I did NOT use the original ink that was sent with the printer. I only have black and yellow working when it prints. SOMEONE please help me, I'm on day three now of trying different procedures to make this work.

Hi, you can go to the printer preference once you go to print and check the button that says mirror image.

how would i tell if firmware was downloaded or not by mistake? I connected to wifi first and tried putting the original cartridges in like you did but it wont recognize my replacement cartridges. On my actual laptop i have both software and firmware turned off but not sure what else to do.
Make sure you have Epson Updater Software Installed on your laptop/computer. If already installed, go to the installer & check to see if there are any updates available for that printer that are pending. If there’s a pending firmware update then it has not been installed. (Select never to install) If you do not see any updates then it is most likely the the update has already went to your printer. If you have any questions in the future, you can check out our sub tips playlist or contact us through our message app on our website as we may not see these messages right away
i just got my wf7310 i have loaded the cartridges but iepson says i have to pring something first b4 software install, i remember you saying that you din't print anythin yet so i don't want to print if it's going to mess up installying sublimation cartridges, so do i print something with the ink that came with the printer or just let it initialize then change to sublimation cartridges when do i do teh installlllll of software, i've watched ur video several times and still don't get it PLEASE PLEASE answer my questions instead of sending me to anotyher video, i understand direct answers better than a video. Hi, you can use the original cartridges to initialize and once done you do a cartridge replacement and install the Sublimation cartridge.
Quick question, do we have to start off with the ink that came with the printer or can we convert straight out of the box?
7310??? I would place original cartridges in the printer and allow printer to initialize. Do not print. Wait until initialized then place the refillable cartridges into the printer

Hi, you can't use a black t-shirt. The white in the design will not print with Sublimation ink. Sublimation is best for a polyester count of at least 65% on light colors.
Can this printer print on card stock??
Just purchased this printer. For 13x19 paper for the rear feeder, why isn’t my printer feeding it? I send print job and it does nothing on the printer end. Any help would be appreciated

Hi, when using these printers you accept the risk that the chips will not work. Sometimes it could be due to firmware updates burning the chips out. You will have to purchase new chips to try. Or use the chips from the original Epson cartridge. Hope this helps.

Yes you can use the chips that come on the ink with the printer. Removing them & placing them on the refillable cartridges may be a little tricky but yes people are using them.

What is the process to refill the cartridges after you have converted it to sublimation and ran out?
If you are referring to ink replacement, you will need syringes to fill carts.

Hello can this printer be converted to eco solvent?
Because this is a cartridge based printer, by definition of an Eco Solvent Printer, I would say no, however, this printer does have the ability to produce many of the same products as an Eco Solvent Printer.
