Girl, I love your spirit and enthusiasm! I’m an old retired lady who has lived life testing boundaries. I’m new at ‘Cricuting’ and find your videos helpful because that beautiful, creative mind of yours always seems to find new challenges. Thank you for your posts!
Hey Delonda, this was so much fun to watch and I learned a short cut when I use htv ront clear on dark shirts how you made the print and cut a basic cut so you don’t have to resize twice so thank you for that so much 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽I always enjoy watching and learning new things to improve my crafting as well so keep being the blessing ❤
Your instructions are so concise and easy to understand. I appreciate that so much. I love your enthusiasm and that you obviously went through many failures to get to this amazing win!! Shows how much you enjoy this. Thank you so much!!
I love it!!!! I totally laughed out loud when you said, "...and then I tried it again..." like 5 times. I have been there so many times!! Thanks for your video. I love your upbeat personality and smile! I look forward to watching more of your videos!
I do DTF sublimation on most colors directly except black and have good success I was wondering about doing a second coating of powder. I think I will try that. Awesome video thank you.
love your videos and how happy and excited you are to do projects, I am retired and love woodworking but half my shop is now for cricut, sublimation, and lazer engraving now , I am a vet and work with vets in the area, I love making things for them and seeing their faces. Thank you for all your help on teaching me alot about these crafts and you personality brightens my day Thanks Again
It would be hard to express how much I appreciate you showing that sometimes, it doesn’t work out, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd…. You know what I am saying. It takes trial and error sometimes and you have to be ok with failing if you want to get great results sometimes. I get frustrated when I have to keep trying sometimes, but when I get it, that thrill, or your squeak, is all worth it! My failures make me better each time. Different products work different ways. As they say, try, try, and try again. Don’t give up when your results aren’t as stellar as you want them to be. Keep going, and they will be. We ALL have failures!
Thank you so much. Have been struggling with Dtf and my grandsons keep giving me dark cotton shirt to put something on. This video answered all my questions. I love your videos
I loved 🥰. I love so much how happy you get every time you achieve your goal in each video. Your joy is contagious. Thank you, Delonda, for everything you teach us. 💞
Thankyou for sharing this video its certainly put my brain at ease on how to use the dtf paper other videos ive seen all say you need to buy an adapted oven
Well I was trying to figure this out earlier. I used Htvront sublimation vinyl and it was a fail to me twice. The image looked distressed like if I had too much pressure. Plus the vinyl had a wrinkled look too. Not sure what that was about. Anyways I seen someone else use regular white htv vinyl .. I will try that and see. I’m going to try to remove the vinyl and reuse the tshirts. Hopefully I can get the hang of it too.
I ended up buying a storage container that was about same length as 13x19 paper and it's height about 6 or 7 inches.i have small plastic cup I leave in it holding powder. So after print I lay in down in box holding 1 side and use cup to just pour some and then grab other end of paper and let it rollover all couple times. Then I can let it roll off paper into cup what's left on there. Then what's in box tap on bottom to get powder to 1 corner and put back in cup. But it's great to keep in there and has a lid on box to keep anything out too.
I'll probably have to watch this a million times before I actually do it but since I have someone that wants a tshirt well here I go! Thank you Delonda
Hi, Ms. Delonda it's me again. lol Just wanted to say you are such a wonderful person. I have to tell you after I seen the nome videos with the gray shirt, I myself begin to test shirts that I had with the DTF as well. It's funny how they show dark colors on the package and state that it's for dark colors but it's not all true because I tested shirts as well. I figured maybe they meant to say they have a different powder for dark shirts, who knows. Lol anyhow I tested various colors and yes gray does really good, yellow, more than likely white for sure and I also tested a like forest green and it wasn't too bad but the black and purple are tough materials. Anyhow just wanted to share this with you and the others, life is so much fun. 😄
Hi, just seeing this because I wanna start doing DTF and I have an inkjet printer that I converted to sublimation. My question is why do you do the powder twice? I’ve watched other videos and I’ve only seen them do the powder one time. Does it make a difference because it’s sublimation?Thank you in advance.
Thank you for posting and pointing out that you used a white background to complete this process. I have seen so many videos of people having success with DTF but I have not had success yet. I have been trying it on white cotton shirts. I may try a black shirt with the white vinyl to see if I can get it to work though I really had hoped to be able to use it without vinyl behind it. Thank you for sharing.❤
The first shirt is how mine came out using DTF powder and DTF Transfer Film. I just kept trying it on the same shirt and never figured it out..quite annoying. Hope I learn more from your video.
Delonda crafting is a science and you are a scientist watching you testing was great... Successful out come after so many fails. You fabulous really enjoyed watching I felt like I was back in science class lol. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I had an bigs oops trying the dtf hack without the white underneath. So thankful i found yoir video so now I know what I dod wrong

Only asking because i get so frustrated when i want a bigger design for print then cut, yet it only allows me to make the design 7.44 × 12.94 when im using 8.5×14 paper. Or are you using bigger paper then that and i just didnt hear it?
I’m still trying to get it done. 😂 I concluded that I used too much pressure on my white apron. Today, I took the apron into the bathroom and used some warm water and soft soap and washed the stuck paper off the apron. Now, the apron looks GREAT! With the exception of the ink splotches that are on the apron that I didn’t realize was on the back of the film… because the corners of the film had roll up while it was printing and ink got underneath the film. And this film is actually paper. I’ll have to put a image over the mistakes to hide them. I’m designing some autism awareness t-shirts this evening. Thank you for all you do. PS. Luda has his new squeaky toy and is really enjoying it. Squeaky all day long.
I'm confused, in this video on the shirt with the knomes you said the powder and film transfer didn't work? But your have a different video demonstrating it did work? I'm lost cause i just ordered the powder and film.
Hi Dolanda! New subscriber here! Thank you for showing us your experiments and easy step by step. Your tutorials are saving me so much time and headaches 😂. I was wondering how well did the white iron on vinyl and the dtf image color hold up after multiple washes? I was also wondering, do you think if, instead of an offset would it be easier to do a Cut option that way there's none of the white iron on vinyl showing around at all?
Could you please tell me if I can use a new Epson ET printer and put all pigment inks in it, or do I need to buy a specific printer for dtf. Thank you so much
great video , i made one too but i put the powdwe 1 time. it took 10 mins to melt but the end results i had bubbles and a little of powder out side the picture
Do you not have to use the clear htv between the white and dtf? I tried once to use just white htv and then press the “dtf” imagine and my image went completely through the white to the inside of the shirt.
Thank you for this, I’ve ruined several shirts just like you did. I will try it again. Any ideas to salvaged the other shirts besides. Cleaning rags? You are awesome
Is dtf ink and sublimation ink different? I ordered a lot of black shirts and did not know heat press sublimation won’t work on black shirts. I’m a new subby. What to do?
I am in the process of making a video about that today. i have shared them in multiple videos; but I am going to make a dedicated video about my printer settings today.
Ok Delonda I'm now trying out the DTF powder and film so here is what happened I asked my husband to go pick up some siser easy weed white vinyl instead he came back with some strong hold white iron on vinyl will that work until I purchase the easy weed myself.
I use a disposable tin thin roast pan to coat my film in powder. Then I can bend the edge to pour the powder back in the bag and then bend it back into shape. It’s all I’ve ever used.
Love your videos. I just got the et 15000. I’m having a problem with the dtf film feeding through the back. It is saying paper jam and sending the film through. Any suggestions on what I need to do?
I only did a second coat because I was using the layer of vinyl and a black shirt. Remember, I tested multiple times before I got it to work. On a light shirt, the vinyl is unnecessary.
Great tutorial.. my question is was it necessary to do the DTF when using the White htv? I did the same technique myself a few weeks ago and I was asking a question on a Cricut Facebook group and someone asked me why I was doing the dtf with the htv. They said it was basically an extra step that wasn’t necessary. When I was doing it this way my intention was for the texture that the DTF gives it. Could you please tell me why (you) decided to go this route with your shirt as far as what you were hoping to achieve by it? I’m just trying to figure out what the benefit is as opposed to not using it and just going with the white htv. (When you need white that is.) Thanks so much for doing all of those tests for us as well! It’s something I had wanted to do myself but just couldn’t find the time to so I really appreciate that. I know it took some time, and so much patience!!! ❤️
@@CraftingwithDelonda ok I think that must be why I did it that way then to begin with. 🤪 There are just so many different exceptions to remember. I have such a hard time trying to remember all of them at different times for some reason. I need some kind of a visual cheat sheet with everything on it to reference it all at the same time maybe. Getting back to my question what’s the difference between the Dtf/htv hack verse’s sublimating overtop of clear vinyl? I mean difference between the two as far as why you’d prefer one or the other? I think that’s what the lady in the Fb group was saying I could have just done instead of doing the dtf/htv. (On dark shirt.) Saying I could have just sublimated it over the clear/white htv. … I’m just confused on the difference of the two. Why take the extra step for the dtf/htv if sublimating it over the htv gives same results? Or maybe not? Thanks so much for such helpful info! ❤️
I guess because there are so many ways to do everything, it just comes down to a matter of personal preference. I prefer the sublimation HTV for dark fabric hack because it is just easier and it cost effective.
@@CraftingwithDelonda Yes it seems pretty straight forward going that way. I agree. Thank you so much for always being so helpful and so kind! I genuinely appreciate you and your channel. So what is the "right" way to print white/color graphics on a black cotton? It seems like hacking the sublimation process isn't cost-effective... yet I'd like to offer more than just white polyester tees or clunky vinyl iron-ons.
Hi Delonda! I just love watching your videos! You are so upbeat and so enthusiastic! I was wondering if you tried using 143 vinyl soft flex for your basic cut? I did and I loved the feel of it on the garment. Light weight and stretchy. And colors were very vibrant! Thank you for your videos! 🌹
What is the difference between doing this dtf “hack” over the sublimation on cotton “hack”? Both require white htv vinyl on dark garments but this just seems to include powder and different paper as an extra step. Is there a different feel? Does it last longer? Wondering why someone with a sublimation printer would use this process instead of just sublimating onto white sublimation vinyl onto dark cotton?
@@CraftingwithDelondaoh ok. I’m somewhat new to sublimation and was just wondering if this DTF hack would provide a better feel over sublimation ink on htv for dark cotton. Thanks
I wonder if there is like a way to use fabric paint or sublimation paint white then kinda use it for sublimation on dark shirts cotton, what do you think?
@@CraftingwithDelonda actually had more cooler idea -- what if you bleach a shirt, so you get white area right? and just sublimate on there, a lot of people have done it but I wanna see it like if you use a stencil when you bleach then you can get the white area accurately
Hi Delonda, thanks for all your videos. I just started getting into sublimation and ive learned alot from watching your videos. In some of your videos youve used an ET 2760 which i have too. I tried to print with sub ink on DTF paper and followed your videos. But it only printed the middle part of the picture 😢 ive tried 3x. I really dont want to waste anymore paper but i just wanted to ask if you have any suggestions? I bought the welacer paper you recommended (also the dtf powder but havent gotten around to using that yet since it didnt print all the way through) i have enough ink because it works on sub paper.pls help if you can. Thanks

You can try adjusting the density or you can also try using a thicker DTF film. Yamation makes one that is pretty thick and it is standard size.

I was wondering if she even knew this exists. The powder I use turns completely white so I don't need to use vinyl at all.
@OrionsOasisDesigns that's awesome
I finally found someone with my name! I love crafts, and I love your work. 😊
Awe, wow!!! Hey girl hey!
Hi Delonda! I just love watching your videos! You are so upbeat and so enthusiastic! I was wondering if you tried using 143 vinyl soft flex for your basic cut? I did and I loved the feel of it on the garment. Light weight and stretchy. And colors were very vibrant! Thank you for your videos! 🌹
Thank you so much! I have tried soft flex and I love it. I haven't used it with sublimation or DTF prints, but I am definitely going to give it a try.
Love your videos and I have learned a lot from you can I use regular white vinyl htv to sublimate on or does it have to be the kind you used
What is the difference between doing this dtf “hack” over the sublimation on cotton “hack”? Both require white htv vinyl on dark garments but this just seems to include powder and different paper as an extra step. Is there a different feel? Does it last longer? Wondering why someone with a sublimation printer would use this process instead of just sublimating onto white sublimation vinyl onto dark cotton?
Do whatever works best for you. There are multiple ways to do a hack. This is on dark fabric and explaining all of it again would require a tutorial.
@@CraftingwithDelondaoh ok. I’m somewhat new to sublimation and was just wondering if this DTF hack would provide a better feel over sublimation ink on htv for dark cotton. Thanks
So is there a big difference in the Godora powder? Can I use the Godora powder to sub on a dark shirt?
Give it a try. I only tried the Godora powder with the light gray.
Can larger prints like this image be accomplished without a wide formatted sublimation printer?
Probably, but you would have to piece it together and I know for sure that I would mess it up 🥴
What is the difference between the A3 and A4 Transfer paper?
Question, would the out come be the same if you sublimated without using the powder on the white vinyl? I’m super new to this. 🤷♀️
Hi there and nope. Check this out. ruclips.net/video/CDjXYdflZX8/видео.html
I wonder if there is like a way to use fabric paint or sublimation paint white then kinda use it for sublimation on dark shirts cotton, what do you think?
I think it's worth a try and a really good idea.
@@CraftingwithDelonda actually had more cooler idea -- what if you bleach a shirt, so you get white area right? and just sublimate on there, a lot of people have done it but I wanna see it like if you use a stencil when you bleach then you can get the white area accurately
Tried it the fabric paint came off😳
Hello, love your videos. Would you please tell me how you got your circuit to print so big?
Hi there and thank you! Cricut changed their size allowance for print then cut. Just make sure you are using the Beta mode.
delonda , i have a question when you use the infusible ink on tshirts they still need to be polyester is that correct
Great question and yes
Thanks
Thank you ❤️
I shared all of my tips and tricks here...ruclips.net/video/4737AmbE0io/видео.html
Why did you turn the auto bleed off ? What does that do ?
I have watched your video a few times now and I am wondering about the wheel lines. Do you get them with the printer that you are using?
Nope, I haven't had that problem.
Can I use stretch white htv and get the same result?
I love your videos!! I have a quick question How did you adjust your paper size in Cricut for the bigger paper? I struggle with print then cut because I have to slice my image.
Make sure you are using Design Space in beta mode.
Soon as I seen ya shirt I hit the thumbs up🤣
Thank you ❤️
Would know why if I try to cut the offset, then print the image my offset seems wider than the image I printed 😬😬
Double check both before printing
hi Delonda, great tuterial i just would like to know if i can use this paper in a sawgrass, i just got one on christmas
Thank you and most likely yes.
