Great video. When I place my transfer on the press, the paper immediately starts curling up from the heat. I noticed yours didn't do that. You had time to teach while it sat under the heat without it curling. Any ideas why mine is curling?

Nice while my son is an artist and he designed his own shirts I'm thinking about buying a silk screen for him and I just don't know what I should buy I mean the one you look like you have this nice but where does where does the dye go in the machine cuz we basically have a flash drive or his shirts and we bring them to a place and the guy puts it in the computer and any prints it out it's probably cheaper

In my experience, when using sublimation on cotton poly blends, the image will stick with the faded look, but it will also wash off of the fabric after just a few washes. About ten years ago my then girlfriend and I started an apparel company. Bought the printer, the sublimation ink, heat press, and literally hundreds of shirts for inventory. Our first job was for a social club that needed about 75 shirts done with their logo. Everything was going fine, until a week later when we were being told that the print was washing off. And I noticed on my test shirts that those images were washing off too. And now, ten years later, I still have the shirts I used as my test shirts, that I use as sleep shirts, and there is no sign of any image having ever been on them.
You need at least 50% polyester.
It won’t stay on cotton
But the polyester won’t wash out, it permanently fuses

Hi. this might sound like a strange question... is there any scent/smell that comes off the transfers as they are heated and pressed on to the fabric? I have been considering purchasing a sublimation printer, however I suffer from scent sensitivities and wondered if I could actually use this :) thank you. Very nice video. Very informative
Yes sublimation have a very noticeable scent to it for sure while pressing.

How hot or what temp was your heater and how long did you pressed, I am learning and all my shirts are dull i can barely see the pictures that i press also my heater doesnt go higher than 330° I need help. Please help. 😫😫🔊🔊🔊

yes you will reverse it when printing and for sublimation it doesn't matter (hot or cold) :)
Its best to peel it as soon as able though just to prevent ghosting

I noticed that the Bella Triblends are not 100% polyester. Does it matter since they’re 50%?
It doesn’t have to be 100% :) at least 50% will work but the colors will be brighter with more polyester

If it will be your first or only heat press I would suggest going with a 15x15 size or larger so you arent limited

Can you heat press on cotton? I’ve tried it many times with my circuit heater and it did not go threw ☹️
You can press regular htv on cotton but you cannot do sublimation on cotton :)
