the main character literally stealing a card from an 8 year old and then killing the same 8 year old with it 6 years later with an illegal play is the most yugioh thing ive ever seen, really captures the sessence of the series, great job guys
I feel this series' main goal was to take every over-used trope from anime and put them all together in a face-paced show with the ultimate aim of making a mockery of anime itself. I love ACD even more for its "meta" sort of approach to anime shows.

When I first saw this episode, I thought the joke was that he was a random extra who wouldn't even have a name if it weren't for that gag, _but then he appeared in season 2,_ and I laughed when I heard his name. Just had to come back here to tell you guys that _I caught that!_ ;^)

That's what I thought too. But then I tried it for a few episodes and got used to it and now I can't stand dubs.
+David Qiu I watch TV because I want to just zone out and only vaguely pay attention to something. If I wanted to read I'd read a book, otherwise I'd prefer to veg out and not have to think too much. If I'm REALLY tired I'll just close my eyes and occasionally open them when it sounds like something interesting is happening. And then other times I just listen to podcasts if my eyes refuse to open at all. And besides, I don't feel like I can connect with the characters if they're speaking what is essentially gibberish to my ears. The translation's on screen, sure, but I can't hear the inflection of individual words or phrases.

In TV it's always that someone has been killed or a jewl has been stolen, but in here only the true nerds/geeks/duelists/gamers understand the values of what's going on.

It's mainly tabletop but there are online versions(they're worse). Command Zone is a prominent RUclips Channel which uploads videos of themselves playing MTG frequently. I used to be really into MTG, but I haven't played it in a year and a half.

People are getting mad in the comments about the lack of sleeves or the low tier seemless decks or how a misprint attack power blue eyes wouldn’t have that much attack, but remember they are parodying the SHOW not the game. Tributing nothing for blue eyes and not polymerizationing for a fusion is about as close to season 1 yugioh as anyone can get 10/10

You can only special summon SSJ Dark Magician if you have no monsters on the field or you pay 2 monsters as tribute to summon it "normally".
But although that 14 year old kid had a monster in defense Position on his side, he still Special Summoned SSJ Dark Magician and that is against the rules.
