It was pretty easy because there are so many good things to eat in the capital of Sichuan cuisine. We managed to try a variety of things that we hadn't had before and some old favourites to compare. What is your favourite street food dish let us know?

The old lady was actually not mad at you guys, she just wanted to let you know that there were more delicious food on the street. In Chinese circumstance, we regard this as a help as she probably noticed it might be the first time you've been here to pick food nearby. But I understand that in English circumstance, it made you feel not good. Cultural difference 🤪
I'm American, but picked up that inflection as well. People have pride for the food, local specialties especially. Not everything amazing has a website or review yet. :) Word of mouth of the locals. In short, that establishment is probably overhyped.

The auntie definitely was not mad at you, she seemed more concerned that you aren't getting to try the better ones. Maybe cross-cultural differences. Don't feel bad!
yeah, basically she felt bad someone recommended them a "shitty" place. I feel if they discussed a bit more, the lady would have been nicer. Never had any problem with anyone in Chengdu. People are extremely friendly and want the best for you.

Maybe, oh I say maybe Chinese history expand 5000 years .... but Chinese and Chinese communist party always Immerse in their so called splendid five thousand years history when talking about china .... they like to show off that ... and everyone knows that history is just the past and now it doesn't mean anything , as everybody knows that we alll are now living in a moderm society instead of the past ....
Check out all the inventions and innovations of our moderm society, which are invented and innovated by western countries INSTEAD OF CHINA ....
China has made no contribution to modern human civilization .....

What a great video to introduce Chengdu street food !
At noon today, I bought a "Chinese Fried Noodles" at school. The classic package with a dragon printed on it has no taste and is terrible, but it costs 7 euros. I'm so jealous of you guys now, I want to go back to China!😭
The only way to taste authentic Chinese food is to come to China and taste it in person😢
The old lady‘s accent is not from Sichuan.She probably doesn't understand the taste of Sichuan people.Of course, she was not angry with you guys
Everything looks so delicious, can't really pick just one as my favourite! I'm planning on visiting China soon and when I make it to Sichuan I will try and find these dishes.

@@jsf713 哈哈哈哈哈，纠正的很好。播主你们去的那家点是成都的老字号，确实还有很多好吃的，但口味因人而异，我妈就很喜欢吃那个娇艳桃酥，但我很喜欢吃葱油酥，凤梨酥，在我看来那个桃酥真的太一般了，我太认同那个old lady（成都方言，孃孃）的说法了，她完全是好心，中国大妈对年轻人说话都有点老一辈给年轻人指点经验的感觉，但那绝对不是对你们不高兴，绝对

Chinese Street Food, miss it so much. I only eat mutton or lamb in China and those sold on the street with the roasted pita bread. As for Chengdu love all those restaurants from West China too.

Chengdu has the best street food, delicious and very affordable. People get used to have a rush breakfast in the morning and spend several yuans to get some good food. I spent my college years in Chengdu and I would like to live in that city again when I get retired. lol..

This is a precisely cultural gap. The woman was not angry to you. She only wanna express the cookies are not the most classic, she felt you deserve the other better ones. Some Chinese people are not used to talking with a smile, but their heat is warm and enthusiastic.

Most delicious noodles I've had in China was in Leshan.

I never got a chance to go there. I hope I could one day. I remember my middle school class mate from Chendu eating noodle in bloody looking soup as her breakfast.
红汤(literally red soup) is what they call food served in spicy red soup. Sometimes they even add some actual blood in it, like solidified duck or pig blood
I went to Chengdu 7 years ago and loved it. Besides Xi’an, it’s my other fav- food there is soo delicious, flavourful and cheap 😍 hoping to go Chongqing soon

Sweat skin duck 甜皮鸭 from Leshan is my favourite dish when I was in Pidu District. It is very friendly to those ones who cannot eat spicy food. Also, Mao Duck 冒鸭子 is awesome. But I have to say Sichuan noodle is not very healthy because too much carbohydrate inside.

7:28, this sugar cane, you have to squeeze them to turn them into juice, add a ton of ice and add fresh kumquat juice in it. also throw the kumquat remaining inside the juice too. that is how they make it out of in vietnam

Very yummy, I wish the Tourist Biro produce city map showed where are the Street Food area.
