This is the song Queensryche fans have been waiting over 10 years for. And delivered better than we could have ever imagined.
This is the first album to actually sound like Queensrÿche since Q2K. I got so excited when I heard their signature dual guitars, I think I peed a little.

First good Queensrÿche album since mindcrime in my opinion.
My favorite song on the album. It takes me back to the classic sound of Queensryche. A bit like rage for order mixed with promised land.

Gerard Vedder Not really, Lets be honest they sound better then they have in years. I love Tate but his best days are behind him. His last album F.U was terrible and his voice doesnt hold up live anymore.

Just saw my 1st Queensrÿche concert last night in the House of Blues and Todd hit every note he needed to perfectly!! He brought back the Queensrÿche I know and love!!! \m/
I've listened to this song at least 100 times...and it never gets old. I've got the abum on constant repeat as well and it's getting better each time. No filler. Well done guys!!
I previously wasn't a fan of newryche, but this song has a beautiful haunting melody to it. I think might have to buy this album.
Love Wilton's chording. He carries a lot and does not get enough credit. Nice leads and great acoustic playing always. He is the last of a breed.

One of my favorite records of 2013 , , the musicianship is outstanding, my first show was way back in 1983 with Twisted Sister at the Concert Hall in Toronto, just sad what has happen with Geoff , but Todd La Torre is a fantastic singer ,

As I've stated before (but you've conveniently forgotten), I'm well aware of how much Geoff has contributed to Queensryche over the course of his career. Did he write any of the music? No, but he's a fine lyricist and for a lonnng time was one of the best singers on the planet. Nobody can take that away from him.
However, we are now living in 2013. All I really care about as far as QR goes at this point is which lineup has the better shot at moving forward with great music...and it ain't Geoff.
Geoff Tate singlehandedly killed the original lineup...egomaniac to put it simply. How can the rest of the band flourish when the management is his wife? It becomes a power struggle and a waste of talent. Whip, Scott, Eddie and Parker made an informed and good decision!!
Am I the only one who is glad to have 2 Queensryches? Yeah, Tate was overbearing but hopefully this experience will humble him some. In the meantime, LaTorre and the rest are doing great, too!

Only time will tell. People have been starving for this sound since Mindcrime (the first one), and good metal never gets old.
Very well put Mike! Btw Chris left due to Geoff Tate! The courts will strip away his rights in Feb I hope since he wasn't even an original member and can't even sing upper register anymore. Sign of the Times for ex Vocalist Geoff can't sing anymore sadly and was extremely abusive which lead to him being fired one of many things anyway...
I have an Idea! Geoff, Chris Degarmo, Rudy Sarzo and Mike Portnoy start a band and cover this shit! Geoff may have lost some of his magic due to age and the very hi demand of his greatness but he can surly pull this lower register nonsence.
I cant see Chris hooking up with Tates nightmare !!! 10 to 1 he would preform with QR before he would ever preform with Tate ,,,
It would be nice to see DeGarmo come back--to either Rÿche.

hate the sound of the snare drum on this album , the vocals are excellent, but that snare is annoying, its to mic too loud and i dont like the way it sounds.Small stuff like that ruins entire cds for me. Queensryche is boring anyways, sorry but they are IMOP

The reason you are a minority is because Geoff destroyed what credibility he had last year during his Rolling Stone interview, followed by a generic solo album and the garbage heap known as Frequency Unknown. And even when he loses what rights he has to the QR name in a month or two, I'm sure you'll still be here barking and looking for attention on Century Media vids, calling an album that has made Top 10 lists on metal sites across the Internet a lesser release despite how badly it crushed you and everything you've asserted this year.

Most of them if they read the vile childish quarreling would laugh at you and probably say get a life. Todd sounds very Pop metal , I don't like this at all . Geoff may not be 100 % what he once but he is still lot better this compressed , over processed Pop metal .
Empire was about as over-processed as you can get, and that was back in 1990. Which, funnily enough, was right at the end of the "pop metal" era, and there are sonic trademarks of that era all over the classic QR sound. ;)
Anteater Empire may have had a high production values but it was recorded cleanly . Tod's voice has a ton of modulation here that why it sounds fake and Pop,
Altered States So Geoff's voice being layered a million times over under echo and reverb constitutes a "clean" recording with high production values? I love both this S/T and Empire alike, but don't kid yourself: Empire was about as pop-metal/AOR as pop-metal got for its generation, especially on songs like "Best I Can", 'Empire', 'Jet City Woman' and 'Resistance'.
Redemption is the only song on the self-titled where you hear any processing on Todd's voice at all: he's singing clean and up-front on every other song, so if that's what you consider "fake", I don't want to know what you consider "real".
Anteater Now you are comparing the two albums in value same breath . this a 5 at best and Empire is a 9 . Get real with yourself . You have no idea . You are probably not even a real Queensryche fan .

I think Fallout is my favorite song on the new Queensryche album. The new music has grown on me quite a bit.

Great music from them! Just saw them in NJ! They played great! I was chilling with Micheal Wilton in a bar after the show for almost two hours. It was amazing. He is so cool and absolutely love the new singer.

This is the epic that Parker talked about writing on his FB page...He wrote a most of it and took it to the guys...they liked it so well they chose it as the opening song...Todd tweaked with the lyrics and Michael helped him with the music...but this song is mostly Parker's baby...and you can pretty much guess who it's directed towards...

Most of us like ALL of the Warning so anything that sounds like that album is going to go over well. This is a great song!!
I saw Queensryche live for the first time at age 14 on their tour for The Warning, and have purchased every single album since, upon release. I remember how I felt listening to Rage for Order for the first time. I felt the same way when I heard this song. Wizards!!! Absolutely fantastic! Now, for the record, I personally liked much of Frequency Unknown (although, it should be labeled a Geoff Tate album) particularly "Weight of the World". There is some of that old QR magic in there too...

Terribly underrated album, even today. Most of it is incredible. I even liked "Gonna' Get Close" just because that creepiness factor makes me smirk in amusement.

I think whichever album does better on the charts and sells the most will be the band that gets the Queensryche name, so far, it is this band..
There is a reason that this is one of the few times in rock/metal history that the vast majority of the fan base was actually GLAD that the original signature vocalist of the band left (fired, to be precise) and that the new singer was accepted so strongly.
