This CD is aging beautifully. I am really excited to hear the new music.
This sounds nothing like QR . Oye Vey ! lol
After several dismal releases the boys are back and stronger than ever. I'll be heading out to add this one to my collection today. Hearing the new songs makes me think that it's 1990 again. Way to go fellas.
This album doesn't get old. Should have been longer is my only complaint.
This song ROCKS! As loud as POSSIBLE!
I love it that this song is so fast & furious, nice change of pace and I never get tired of it!
I can agree with that. There's a rawness to this new Queensryche album that takes them to a new level : )
Thanks for the new music Queensryche!
As a long time fan, I've been playing this cd along with Rage, Mindcrime and Empire. A seamless fit. Thanks guys for continuing on even after your painful Tate-ectomy. You're healing quite well and you look to be as strong as ever. I know many Ryche fans and we are all with you.
All four of the songs I have heard off this upcoming album are excellent! They have captured that Queensryche sound again.
Fallout was definitely the ideal single from the album: good stuff!
Queensryche played this song during their encore at the show in Houston tonight. Sounds great live. Todd La Torre was amazing. Looking forward to the self-titled CD in two weeks. Already pre-ordered mine.
This should be their first single to release of the three songs I have heard so far. Kind of a kick in the balls to the world that Queensryche is back with an album and wants to kicks some ass for a change!
From what I understood, Chris was pretty protective over his music. Geoff and him made a great duo for years, but things end. Anyone who knows guitar could understand his change in style from the more pentatonic scales into more blues based playing. That happened on Empire. Nothing wrong with it. Empire was huge and I'm betting the others never complained about the success. Chris was over the rock star thing anyway and had a family he wanted to keep.
Fallout is actually my favorite song from the new Queensryche album.
No man, we're based in the U.K, they're playing at the Wolverhampton Civic as part of their tour, we're opening for them. 13th of Oct, its going to be mental!
That's very cool SpaTZz9! From Guitarcenter to touring and writing new music with Queensryche! Good for Parker, he's definitely a PLUS for the band : )
Easily the most anticipated Queensryche CD in over a decade! I can't wait to recieve my deluxe preorder bundle from CM Distro!
Wow, I'm a moderate QR fan, and I can tell you all with certainty that THIS sound (modern, metal, and catchy) will attract new fans who who could care LESS about the band's drama. At the end of the day, it's about the music, and this is just flat-out good! The same can't be said for "FU".
So amazing! Stunning. Chills. Why has this taken nearly 20 years?! Who cares. Glad the guys are back!
Listening to the deluxe album today!
good to see every one like the new album : )
I love it!! Finally I can be excited (and not let down) by a Queensryche album! Rÿche on... \m/
Everybody worried about Ryhe's CD only being 35 minutes or less. Man I'm just happy listening to 30 sec's samples. When that deluxe box set comes to my front door and I pop that baby in... it will sound like it lasted for 3 hours. LOL... May The Ryche Be With You!
Loving the new Queensryche song Fallout, thumbs up.
Counting down the days to the release date! Getting Jimbo Barton back was a stroke of genius, he is so perfect at recording Queensryche that I consider him an essential part of the Queensryche sound. For whatever reasons Tate refuses to look past Jason Slater is a mystery. A great producer is not afraid to say if something doesn't work, great producers actually say these things often! This is what can bring the best out in an artist. Kevin Shirley, Martin Birch, Jimbo, these guys ALWAYS have!
Can't wait for this album!
Saw the new RYCHE tattoo that Todd La Torre got on their facebook page... fantastic! :-)
I can understand that. The guys in Queensryche have done a great job writing for the new album and it show : )
great sound, reminds me of the old sound that sadly went away. I like the lyrics on all of the new tunes released on here.
GREAT song!!!!
Love the new music!
Definitely some great material from these guys : )
Michael sounds great his solo is supercharged. Scotts snare sound is classic QR ! Jimbo Barton is a music mixing master ! I cant wait to get my cd . gonna be a roadtrip !
Agreed! I can't wait for the new album, and FW will be in Atlanta (my town) in Dec!!!
EXCELENT!!!!!QUEENSRYCHE DOUBLE GUITAR, GOOD MELODY, VOICE HEAVY, BATTERY PROGRESIVE, CLEAR SOUND,,,,,,!!!!
NOW THIS IS QUEENSRYCHE!!!
It's hard to believe that the haters are thumbing down Scott Rockenfield, Michael Wilton & Eddie Jackson along with the rest. If you like one camp over the other that's understandable, but don't hate the guys who have brought us so much great music over the years. Just go listen to what you like & support it. Hopefully you can find something to enjoy from both sides. ! RYCHE !
You said it Pyro! I've played the new album far more often than any other new music I've picked up in the last 5 years! It's that good : D
Good advice elduce, just enjoy the music of Queensryche! Todd, Michael, Eddie, Parker & Scott !!!
Great tune, very catchy.
Awesome!!! :)
The song Fallout is starting to grow on me!
some good licks in this.
Best in quite a while.... The old vibe is back with a nod to the bright future to come.... I hope they win the suit, but if they don't.... as long as this line-up stays together, I will count them as THE Ryche!
Awesome song, nuff said.
Finally....Queensryche is back
I'll say! Todd & company have grown on me too! Love the new 'Ryche album.
Loving this stuff, can't wait nor believe i'm going to be supporting these guys with my band in October. So fucking stoked about that!
So freaking good! Love it \m/ \m/ They were super cool when i met them too. Class guys, and the REAL Queensryche
One of the best songs on that mini album. Which is not necessarily a compliment.
Thanks truthseeker1. I never give up so I will continue to play myself and of course I have listened to the new queensryche album thats why I'm here it's great!! Fallout is good but I like where dreams go to die the best so far.
He did you're right & in my most humble opinion the best Queensryche record ever put out to date though I still do luv the demo 'Queensrÿche' ;)
great
100% agree with you!
Not the kind of music I usually listen to,but this is awesome! :)
This is Queensryche revisited, with a modern touch. It ryches!
Queensryche are great! : )
Finally! Someone who gets APSOG in the exact same way I do! I totally disagree with your ranking of their albums (we all have our preferences), but we are APSOF kindred spirits. FW is in my top 5 bands of all time. Love them!
General Metal rocks!
You're listening with a nostalgia-backpack on? Give it some time. The whole album is youthfully peppy, though A World Without has a very understated, ghost of a solo.
Excelent !!!!!!!!!!!
So true.
The guys look as if they had a great time during these performances : )
NICE \m/
sick
Dat solo!! Wilton rocks! As do all the others! \m/
Ugggh! The bends in the intro are FLAT! Doesn't an engineer hear that?!?!?!?!?
Leave it to queensyrche to keep metal alivee
Go Queensrÿche!
queensryche will have a new video soon too!!
Also check out the official video for the song FALLOUT from Queensryche too : )
STYX meets good Rockin URIAH HEEP with amazing guitar solo. The lady wore black - I heard that song today & well : my goodness QUEENSRŸCHE can be amazing. Mr Tate has a personality / an 'X' factor that a performer if he/she has it like DORO or TOM WARRIOR ; they are beyond amazing. I have to hear more...
this song is twice as good as the other two they released thus far
Great song from the only Queensryche. Accept no substitutes!
another great tune 3 great songs so far, better that what Geoff's project has.
I forgot what streaming online show it was already, perhaps Classic Metal Show, but they streamed "In This Light" live. The recording of the show does not have it :( It was outstanding though.
That...is....awesome (and sort of scary at the same time)
is there a store selling the new cd?? where other then the internet can I find it??? HELP!
Same here : )
Let the market decide. The fans, that is.
I guess you don't really know Queensryche. They are known for their extended length progressive songs on just about every album until Hear in the Now Frontier. e.g.. The Lady Wore Black - Queensryche 6:13 Roads to Madness - Warning 9:38, Suite Sister Mary - Mindcrime 10:41, Anybody Listening - Empire 7:40, Promised Land - Promised Land 7:58
Blows "Cold" right the fuck out of the water!
They are bringing more of the great prog metal that they helped create, too new levels. Vocals are like Tate in his prime. The Riffs have a classic QR sound too them. Even the gang vocals in this song, is a blast from the past. I love they are adding more sick solos and going back to what the fans want, Heavy fucking Metal.
No, never heard a single jazz tune ever in my life.....sheesh, what kind of response is that, Sadique?
Never got any radio play here, a damn shame too.
Sold!
Agreed! : )
Queensryche!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As long as he doesn't write and record with Jason Slater, hires his wife as a manager or refers to himself as T-Dawg, he can belch his way through an entire show for as far as I care.
Juan, Geoff has been in creative control of QR's musical direction since Tribe, maybe even Q2K. He chose which songwriters to work with, what concepts to deal with, etc. etc. That's why it's logical to assume he's the primary reason the albums haven't been that strong since Promised Land/HITNF. Think of a movie: you can have a great script, but if the director does a shitty job then the movie isn't going to be as good. Tate was QR's director after Chris bailed in '97, so there ya go.
UOOO WHAT A SMART BOY
Geoff who? Todd nails it! best Queensryche in years! Plus it's cool, I remember Parker from Guitarcenter Seattle, how cool is that?
this is a great song..i wish the next song on the disc was weight of the world that would be killer....then cold, then redemption..album could be a ten out of ten..love the ryches...
I like the track and have been a fan of the band since the early 80's. I still think Operation: Mindcrime was one of the best albums of the 80's. However, Queensrÿche just isn't Queensrÿche without Geoff. He brings a whole other dynamic to the band.
queensryche regresó!!!!!!!!!
The reason I said Tate being one of the main engines behind the band was due to his vocals I never said he was the writer & it was Chris DeGarmo that wrote 99% of the music!
Btw I've loved Queensryche since the late 80s early 90s
I agree, it's not the same. This is way better (I've listened to both versions new CDs)
Maybe it sounds like that to you, but not to me. To me it's like, "Hey, I forgot how much fun it is to make music. Let's rock."
Empire will always be their Golden Child, nuff said :-)
