    I just got this exact model a month ago. The best car I’ve had! Compared to my 2017 Mercedes E300, it’s a much better car. No maintenance, faster, easy to use, sleek, aerodynamic. Especially with the way gas prices are $7 a gallon here in Southern California. I don’t think I’ll ever drive a gas car again! Great review brotha 👍🏽

    Traded my Ram Rebel with a 5.7l Hemi today for the 2022 M3LR. Took my daughter for her first ride in a Tesla and she claimed she almost passed out from the acceleration. I think she’s exaggerating but it certainly throws you back against the seat. I almost cried letting my truck go but I won’t miss gas prices and I’m falling in love with this driving experience.

    I am part of the Uber/Hertz Rental Program and I also have the 2022 Model 3 Long Range AWD version. Everything felt so foreign to me at first however, the more I drove the car the more comfortable it became. People ask me all the time how do i like it? I said its whenever you start dating someone and your getting to know them more. Best description I can offer. Its a really fun car to drive and I actually stay out and do Uber later because its so much fun to drive. I drove it for the first time in SNOW this morning and handled like a champ. Highly recommend this vehicle to people that are on the fence about crossing over.

Because supercharger only takes about 30 to 35 min to fully charge with a V2 supercharger. Of course they also have V3 which is like 15 min but they are not out everywhere just yet.

    • @HighestGearReviews
      @HighestGearReviews  2 года назад

      Hello sir and thanks for watching. Delivery on any EV’s are facing delays unfortunately. So many supply line issues that keeping production lines humming is challenging at best. The Austin Gigafactory is going to help dramatically if they don’t spend too many resources on the CyberTruck. In regard to the glass roof……I do like them. The roof won’t get too hot, thanks to its dual-panel design and UV coating. The tinted glass will block out most of the sun. Hope you enjoy your new ride and see you at the charging station.

    Great review Lou, I ordered a Model 3 Long Range in charcoal grey today and it should be ready for pickup in May which is my birthday month. The total price was $54,500 but the $2100 in sales tax caught me off guard but it is what it is. Ever since I drove my buddy's Model S back in 2014 I was hooked but $90k was just too much for me. My coworker let me driver her 3 that she brought a few years ago and it was dope. I was about to buy a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to replace my 2015 K5 that was totaled back in December (loved that whip) but the stealership was rushing me to buy it so I backed off. I drive a 2017 Tahoe but these rising gas prices under that jackass Magoo in the White House is killing us and why in God's name did he kill the XL Keystone pipeline which helped us to be energy independent under President Trump and kept gas prices very low.....no more at this point. I hope I don't regret the buy but life is short and you can't drive these in Heaven.....Elon Musk has created some next level stuff and I'm excited to be getting this.

    It actually doesn't work like that. Electrical miles ( display miles ) is just for reference. I have done many tests , Tesla burn ( or used ) 1.2 to 1.8 display miles per road miles, depending on many variables : Weather, Wind, Slope and most importanly how fast you drive . so if $5.00 per gasoline for a regular car MPG is 30 miles, it cost you $0.16 per miles, For Tesla, it cost $0.25 - 0.35 KWH at supercharger, home is lot cheaper ( $0.15-0.19 ). Let use $0.20 here, Model 3 Long Range has 82 KWH battery which run 356 miles , so 0.20 time 82 KWH = $16.4 / 356 miles , it cost you $0.05 per mile, but add back in the efficiene lost, 0.05 times 1.5 = $0.075 / miles . So, you save about 50% of money to travel a mile on Tesla. It does save money , but not as much as you think, especally if you live in the cold weather of the country, your range can drop as much as 40 %. Then you are paying the same as Gasoline car and got no distance travel to

    12 hours to charge from 0 to 100% which will almost never happen in real life, this 10 hours is Level 2 charging at home with 1450 at 7-8 KWH ( 240 Volt, 32 Amp) . If you go to supercharger, 250V, ( 48 amp ) it will be at 120 KWH, so only 30-45 min to fully charge your Model 3. Then of course , from 80% - 100 % may takes 30 mins, but you should be fine with 80 - 90 % SOC

    It's definitely a nice car but there are a few nit-picky qualms I have though. For the price they are charging for this car the $12k or $199 monthly for the full self driving capabilities is ludicrous. I lease so it makes zero sense to pay the $12k up front and $199 monthly would just increase my payment. If all the tech/hardware is there then why charge someone a crazy amount to utilize it while you hide it behind software...kinda shady. I don't even care about anything but autopark and summon but am forced to pay for it all and from what I understand some features aren't even live yet. Summon is really the only feature that's interesting but gimmicky at best and definitely not worth that price tag. Several other automakers have the autopark functionality and it's free, no monthly surcharge. Tesla is going to start a disturbing trend with this I think. Other automakers are gonna follow suit and start doing it too.
    I'm also disappointed that they don't include a digital cluster, heads up display or power folding mirrors. Seems like huge oversights to me but again, guess I'm just being picky. I think the built-in dash cam is cool as hell. That means I don't have to snake wires all through the car to install one.

      I definitely can’t argue with you on the the self driving cost, crazy. Who knows how long until the feds sign off on it.
      I would also like to see a little more interesting dash design….I get what they are doing but I guess I’m old school and I like a little more instruments on my dash. Thanks for the view!

      @@HighestGearReviews Yea that's another thing that's very strange, no instrument cluster. When I test drove one at my local dealer it felt very awkward to say the least. I believe only the model S & X have it and they're both over$100k. Don't get me wrong, I know I sound like I'm bashing the car but I'm not, it's cool as hell. It's just that for the price tag certain things should be standard. They aren't the the only game in town anymore and other automakers are starting to play catch up and I think Tesla needs to step their game up honestly. They've have the exact same body styles (with very few minor tweaks) and features for over a decade now and honestly if not for the autopilot they'd be average at best.
      Not to mention they no longer qualify for the federal tax credit which is a huge incentive to buy electric and with just about every other automaker offering ev's competition is going to start getting stiffer. Just about every other ev I've been looking at has the features I want(heads up display, power folding mirrors and digital cluster) and they qualify for the federal tax credit. Again, I'm not bashing Tesla by any means, they definitely made ev's popular (even though the bolt and leaf have been around for a long time) and mainstream...I think it's just time they reinvent the wheel. Once everyone catches up to their charging infrastructure I think it's gonna get tough for them.
      Hey if you can you should try and get your hands on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric. I hear it's supposed to be really nice and even has reclining seats! Apologies if you have already reviewed it, I'm new to the channel and will peruse.
