Love, love, love these wooden pins!!! The expressions, the colors, the silliness, the carvings…so delightful! Thank you…what a joyous collection…❤️🧡💚💛💙🐧🐴🐸🐙…the penguin with top hat, the octopus and the skiing dog, the frog…so wonderfully fun! Thank you 🤗🥰
So enjoyable to see your whimsical collection! In the time when these pins were made, very few people had TV sets. They relaxed in the evenings, listened to radios , talked to their families and busied their hands. Free or inexpensive wood was readily available and and a large segment of the population carried pocket knives. Not that everyone had artistic talent, but it was a way to relax. Thank you for sharing!
These are absolute whimsy & wonder! My 5 & 58 year old dreamer is alive and happy! Thank you for bringing magical wonderment to my soul after a recent crisis. Healing you are❤
Jason 🧡🫶 OH I love this video on wooden pins! Thank you for exposing me to another whimsical layer of your personality & intelligence. I adore all of the different wooden pins & their hilarious attributes. I adore the frog with maracas. But honestly I couldn't pick a favorite. The cheerful energy of this collection is infectious. I am so glad you have saved these tiny works of art. You can tell how each one was made with such love. Thank you Jason for opening my mind another layer. 🤯🧡
This segment brought me so much joy! I collect wooden brooches. I was simply amazed by the whimsical wonderful workmanship of your collection. There were brooches I have never encountered in the wild but now I’m inspired to expand my collection. THE HUNT BEGINS!!!!
You are so welcome! Wooden pins can become an addiction... lol....I will do a second episode! Pamela....thank you for being such a good friend to Jeremy and I. Tell Bruce hello and "turn me up" when he gets home. 😅🤣😂
I have never seen carved wooden clamper bracelets before…incredible! Jason, your reverent, enthusiastic honoring of these pieces is lovely to watch and experience…this is one of my favorite of your videos 🤗🥰🤗
Wow, thank you Kristin. I needed to get away from negative judgment of others. I got the reins back. Full steam ahead. Love you for the support.....without all of you there is no reason for me to do this.... 💖💖💖
@@jasonadams8633 you are delightfully fun and wonderful! I couldn’t sleep last night and was up at midnight digging out my few pieces of wood carved pins and bakelite/ wood bracelets! You are so inspiring and informative…🤗❤️🧡💛💚

Hi Jason, I'm catching up on this video and so glad I did. It's interesting and beautiful. The standouts for me are the dog with the kennel and photo inside. The two bangles, one with the dog and the one with the horse. Also, the monkey 🐒 with moving parts made me smile. Thanks for opening up your life and heart in showing us your treasures. Have a beautiful week , much ❤ Sue

I'm sure that the native American viewers of your channel greatly appreciate the effort you put forth to use the correct terms. I was taught the same way in school, but it really doesn't make sense. The indigenous people in America did not come from India. I think it's okay to say Apache dancer, because that is the name of their tribe. Classy and thoughtful as always. People really do notice.
@@jasonadams8633 It's interesting that she never refers to her actual tribe by name. I am African American. You can just guess how many different terms I've heard since the 1950s. 😂 Let's go with .......people. LOL

Maybe some of the wooden pins you have could have been prototypes for bakelite pins.
True. Or vice versa as the jewelry historians are attempting to figure out! ❤️
I have a decent wood statue collection, but I usually pass on these.
Do you feel differently after seeing these?
What is the general age of the pins? Some look quite old.
@stevescollect593 Hi Steve...most are 1925 to 1955. Thank you ♥️
When Columbus "discovered" America he thought he was in India, hence the name Indians. Native American or indigenous people is the true name😊
Until you speak to my Cherokee friend that says their family is Native American Indian. Respectfully
