very helpful to refresh my memory on installing these
Do monobloc require specific hole sizes or would 35mm suffice?
Nice teachings
Thank you 😊
Thank you sir
what size box spanner do i need? is there a standard size?
I don’t know if the size is standardised - the one on my kitchen sink fits an 11mm standard-depth socket (this is with a granite countertop - you would need a deeper socket or a box spanner if the tap were to be fixed to something less deep, like a stainless steel sink). The reply from B&Q tells me that they either don’t know or don’t care - just buy yourself a set of eight box spanners, seven of which you will never use. It’s not as if you watch this sort of video to learn from the experience of others. Or something.
@@Moletrouser Thanks for your reply - B & Q obviously dont give a damn -
how do i convert from double deck to mono ?
Need to get a blanking panel for one of the holes . Might need to widen the existing remaining hole for a bigger tap
Do you tighten the flexihose at the tap with a spanner or are they fitted just hand tight? Im just about to fit one myself. The other end isn’t an issue but I wondered how you get a spanner down there at the tap end to tighten the flexihose
Just hand tight. If you use a spanner you might damage the o-ring.
finger tight. saves a lot of hassle if you need to undo at a later date
How do you replace the cartridge that comes with the tap at 1:17?
***** Article did not help as much as i thought it would but ended up doing it but stuffed up the screw handle with pliers so it won't screw all the way in
The screw that attached the tap too the worktop is to short can I get one that is at least 60mm long?
Hi, we do stock threaded rods. However, you'll need to trim to size. Hope this helps 😊
Once you’ve replaced it all you can go and find a place in the sun! 🤣
😂
Good
Thanks Ernest 😄
If we have a deck tap but want to change the sink to single tap?
Hi, there! It all depends on what kind of deck tap and how its fitted. To replace with a single hole is tricky as you may need to replace the worktop (and sink depending on the new tap). Hope this helps.😊
G
You don't show how the tap being fitted ?
Thank you kindly

@@amblincork theres 2 or 3 parts to this.
