The ports area colour starts to chip of and starts reveling a sliver ocular layer so according to my opinion, it’s better to for the space gray or silver and even starlight☺️

I looked closely and even felt silly examining the port sites to convince myself there were no scratches. I am very happy with this color and stand by my original review. It's has not bothered me and I like my stuff looking nice.

word of warning - if you rest your palms on the palm rest while you type then you could likely see noticeable wear in just under a year! I was shocked how worn my was just over a year and my hands don't get sweaty or oily!

Great video! One suggestion would be to add a title on the screen of which color the Macbook Air was as you cycled through them. A few of those colors are so close to each other depending on the lighting.

I picked space gray because I wanted something darker but liked the contrast of the keys and main body. It was a happy medium between silver and midnight for me
Just bought the MacBook Air M2 in Silver, a family member has the Midnight Blue and as such as it looks nice the fingerprints on it is a big deal for me. No regrets with the Silver one

I’ve seen many reviews and comments about the midnight, but I got the midnight because space grey, like he said, is too common. Midnight is a nice and unique colour and I’m willing to take great care of it.
I was thinking of ordering the space gray, but then I saw all colors in store and went with midnight. The darker color puts more focus on the screen and looks more low profile. I think a brighter color would be more distracting to me than fingerprints.
Midnight looks best to me, but I will probably go silver because darker colours will show scratches and chips over time. I learned this lesson with my iPhone.
Courier just came to collect my midnight Macbook Air M2. Initially was willing to put up with the fingerprints but it got too much hassle cleaning the casing after each use. Have had many macbooks over the years in silver, space grey and gold. For me, the space grey is too common and whilst it still looks great, have decided to order the starlight. My previous macbook air m1 was gold and adored it, so starlight for me is a happy medium.
Totally agree. It would be great if they did an oleophobic coating for the Midnight. Personally, I went with SIlver because of the same concerns, but I have to admit Midnight is gorgeous.
I always thought I wanted midnight. I went to the Apple Store to get one and started second guessing myself when I saw space gray. Nonetheless, I got midnight and ended up exchanging it for space gray. I didn't like the sharp contrast between the dark body (that at home looked inky black) and lit screen, even at lower brightness, or the lack of contrast with the keys. Space gray has been more comfortable to use. I guess I'm getting older. My eyes see things differently than they did in my 20s and early 30s. Probably would have been happy with silver too. My wife has starlight and loves it. I can now say we are cosmically linked starlight + space gray.
Your mentioning comfort is a good point. The contrast between black keys and the light body of my old gold macbook is very tidy and not like you are reaching towards a dark pit with keys. Am updating, love the midnight except for the darkness issue, and the starlight /gilver is a watered down version of my old gold. At least it is warm. Note: in 7 years fingerprints were NEVER an issue on my old gold. So I'm not sure whether to relie on my experience or go for a blue that I love, as a color fiend😉?
After watching comparison videos for days and did a field check in Apple Stores, the conclusion is silver is very classical, timeless and elegant, will never regret it

Good job! I purchased the Midnight Blue and while it can be a finger print magnet it isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I don't find the finger prints to be that big of a deal. I think the midnight if taken care of will hold up very well. I do really like the classic silver, which is what I always get. However, this Midnight I just love it.

Thanks for the video. For future reference, it would be helpful to have the colors annotated on screen when showing them so that the viewer can differentiate. For instance, in those outside shots with the warmer sunlight where you showed one at a time, it was hard to tell which color I was looking at.

I was shocked when I had to admit that sometimes it looks like it came out of the household of hard smokers or from the cellar after a tornado with chemical weapons. Just don't want to have any thought that it looks worn or like a menu in a cheap spanisch restaurant that its damaged by the sunlight. I love the midnight and the gold colour. I just can’t stand the paint chipping off near the ports for midnight though. I slap a case on my laptops so the fingerprints wouldn’t be the issue. The gold colour is gorgeous but the silver matched my iPad Pro, so I went with silver. I always end up getting the silver laptops and iPads, and darker iPhones😅
Starlight is such a gorgeous neutral, like a soft sand or champagne. It's much warmer and softer than the cold grays.. Very luxurious and elegant. My office, bags and clothes are all classic neutrals, so it goes with everything ;)
Midnight is overrated. It's fingerprint magnet and the color is chipping (mostly around USB ports). Also the scratches are going to be a lot more visible after everyday use unlike on silver.

Space Grey is just such a timeless design with the classic macbook look while still being super elegant. Every single laptop out there is black so I don't think it's anything special at all.

I’m female and love rose gold colors. However for this one starlight does not look appealing to me, it looks more yellowish or has a darker shade sometimes. I love the silver one, it’s clean-looking, sleek, and won’t age.

I think what made it too gold was the late evening sunlight. I saw another video of the starlight being used outside and it didn’t look too gold

Space Grey may be common, but almost everyone will be buying Midnight so you're buying a common colour anyway if you're going with Midnight.

The Midnight color is fresh and at least Apple created two new color options for the M2 MBA

Silver looks the best to me, plus I already have space grey so want a change. The fingerprints on the midnight would annoy me.
I absolutely LOVE the Midnight color, but my OCD will not allow me to have that for more than a day without losing my mind, so I think I would go with the space grey or silver!

Space Grey is just such a timeless design with the classic macbook look while still being super elegant. Every single laptop out there is black so I don't think it's anything special at all.

excellent , thank you , I had on pre-order the Midnight and after seeing it at the Apple store all the finger prints that accumulate, I changed to the Starlight, they had at the store and looks really nice , no matter what color you choose, looks like we will not be disappointed

Did the same. Just ordered my MacBook Air M2 in Starlight. Midnight was my first choice but in store the Starlight looked so much more sleek and clean looking. Hope I made the right colour choice thou. 🤔
I’m female and love rose gold colors. However for this one starlight does not look appealing to me, it looks more yellowish or has a darker shade sometimes. I love the silver one, it’s clean-looking, sleek, and won’t age.
Starlight is my last choice. Space Grey has become too common. Midnight is slick but chips and fingerprints, and kind of look like a Windows laptop. Silver is classic and gorgeous! SILVER FTW! Great cinematography bro!!!

If you want a color that speaks apple buy Silver, if you want a color that screams HP (Hewlett-Packard) Windows buy Midnight.
