I just bought the base model M1 MBA. I am absolutely loving it. My first time owning a MacBook. I decided to go for the M1 Air because I really do not need extra performance based on what I am doing on a daily basis (The extra money I will pay will be wasted just for doing my daily tasks that the M1 can handle I do not see myself maximizing the performance of the M2 OR M3). The M1 Air is perfect for me right now. Maybe I will upgrade in 5 years and ofc it will be a MacBook as well.
FAX. M1 MBA is basically all you need, I'm doing hard code web dev, notion app for planning, ChatGPT, stocks real time (that eats a lot), telegram, browsers, youtube video in 2k, all on background while passing it sometimes to another user to use it with their account on the same mac, while all my stuff is secured and battery life just does not die the whole day long. On meetings, etc. And M1 MBA is supported in a new update with AI intelligence that comes next week, those who own it are at the top of the game. If hesitating - DON'T. Spend extra, but I promise you - it is worth it. Moreover, is a miracle how integrated it all is, with airpods and iphone, you will never get it lost - findmy will tell you, if you can't find your mac, you can ring it, and man airpods pro second generation... If you're not overspending and use basically the three year old devices of apple, you won't get the new and overexaggerated features but you do get really the best quality product on the market that is fairly priced. I think four years ago were the best possible products of Apple where they really tried to make the best-now it's just an overexaggerated and overly talked product that everyone knows with few new ones for a big price. New mac was leaked, and it's basically the same, quicker etc and few new ports, but m1 is quick enough already. Just as new IPhones compared to the older ones. If have spared money go for it, if not better not.
I see a lot of people talk about getting earlier models, yet no one seems to talk about the operating systems. My 2014 Imac is almost dead (running from external drive right now as internal failed.) but I have not been able to upgrade the OS for some time now. So getting an earlier model now will also mean losing ability to work with the latest OS a lot sooner too.
Hello for school work, 4k youtube vlogging what would u recommend for me a 13 inch m3 macbook air or a 14 inch m1 pro chip macbook pro Both 16 ram and 512 gb ? Which one would be more future proof and last longer
I enjoyed your video. Many times I wonder if newer is always better with Apple. I had a MacBook Air M1 and decided to upgrade to the 14 inch MacBook Pro M2 in 2023. It was only $100.00 more to go with the Pro with the configuration.

Maybe u guys can help me here. I'm a student and im thinking about buying a laptop for my needs at university. Basically multi-tasking, writing reports in word with extensions (Mendeley), seeing multiple books and documents at the same time. But I wanted quality without being much outdated and for a low budget (around 500€ for a refurbished laptop). Many people recommended me to seek a macbook according to my needs and the quality I wanted but I'm lost in the models and the quality of them. If u guys can give me opinions on the best possible options I can get for a macbook I appreciate it 🫶
I have the same needs. I am starting my masters in medical sciences and work a lot with heavy documents, ram hungry tabs, excel cheets and some coding. I am planning on getting the MBP M1 Pro. It is a bit older, but cheaper, and I only plan on using it heavily for 2-3 years. However, it is till around 1500$ in my country. If you are on a super tight budget maybe go for the M1 air or M1 pro model (with 16gb of RAM if you can afford it). Try to not get anything with an intel chip as these are becoming slow in my opinion (got a 2018 intel MBP). Otherwise, there are windows laptops that are also great but for much cheaper.
@@GlitzvsVilma im trying to seek some prices here. In Portugal, the best price u can get for a MB air M1 is around 700€ with minimum specs (8GB ram and 256GB ssd). I think it's better to wait for the MacBook Air 13-inch M4, rather than getting a MacBook Pro M3 Pro 14, in terms of battery life and portability, aside from performance. What's your opinion? 🤔
I’m not expecting any major upgrades with the M4. If you need a new MacBook now, just get M2 or M3. M3 has been out long enough you might be able to snag a good sale (like the one on Amazon now).
Then why don’t you wait for M5,M6,M7??? You can never catch the newest machine unless you have endless money. This kind of stuff is upgrading faster than you thought
Best MacBook for price to performance ratio right now is a MacBook 14” M1 Pro. You get a high 512gb ssd 16gb ram 14gpu cores 8 core cpu which is very close to the performance of the m3 pro chips that have been nerfed by Apple for the m3 max to take the spotlight. You’ll also get a much better mini led display 120hz, better speakers, fans and a variety of ports compared to the Air models.

I have a question for you. I have a MacBook and want the best monitor possible for productivity and gaming (it’s a 14 inch MacBook so I def want a larger screen) But I’m a student and can’t spend too much. What monitor would you recommend under $400?
I already have a desktop that I use for gaming and school work when I’m at home. Idk what laptop to get because my work allows me to do schoolwork so I want a laptop to do school while I’m at work.
I hope you have better luck with yours because after the warranty expirred the touchbar started to blink everytime I started it. Hi, I follow your reviews regularly. I was just wondering if you could help me choose a Macbook to run 19 Parallels desktop applications, mainly for Windows. I do not play any games on the computer, and I use it primarily for productivity. I would be grateful if he could answer the question.
Apple's lap-top is the best lap there is, Leopard's SO is the best SO for pictures and graphs, there is also the fact it's that Apple is soft and clean, it looks aerospacial and beautiful, I get all the gagats for me and drove me absolutely crazy to buy one and sneaks(I love you Steve Jobs, but not)
Thank you so incredibly much for a thorough comparison and suggestions. These days i primarily use my MacBook Pro for web browsing, RUclips and emails . But I am on it al lot. I’ve always had a pro and can’t help but feel that the pros last longer/ longer lifespan, and sturdier, and the fan will be helpful in Australia ( so hot here!). But I’m on the pension these days… my current MacBook Pro is a 2015 15”… so it is quite old, but I love it !! Really conflicted!
For your specific situation I definitely recommend an M2 or M3 MacBook Air. If you're just web browsing and watching RUclips it will be a great fit with incredible battery life. The Air lineup has come a long way and improved a lot since the 2013-2019 era. You can also get an M2 Air for quite a bit cheaper than a MacBook Pro these days in Australia.
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
I'm still debating what to buy. I currently are running 3x 27" on the latest intel mac mini, which is so laggy with my work. I'm in crypto so how my screens look like is 1 with only telegram and other 2 with multille browser tabs, at least 20 up to 40, and multiple google sheets. I also have an old 2015 macbook pro 15, so my thought was to swap both for 1 good macbook. Now to run my 3 screens i would need the m3 max chip what seems overkill for my day2day work. So i'm swapping 3 screens for 1 super ultrawide. Which macbook would recommend now? The macbook air m3 16gb or do i still need a better performer like the macbook pro m3 pro because of the MANY open tabs??
Even with 8GB of RAM, the way macOS handles page filing, I'm able to edit 4K Blackmagic RAW footage in DaVinci Resolve on my M1 MacBook Air. It's not an ideal situation, but it's more than capable for the everyday person. If I had bought it new, I would have definitely gone with a 16GB variant. I bought this Air used in late 2022 for 700 AUD, and it's still working flawlessly despite being tortured by me.
On paper the M2 is faster but if you are just an average consumer, not doing any video or photographic work, it is a waste of money. You can even go for the M1 14" with 16 GB of RAM. Certain websites offer this one refurbished with waranty at a great price.
would've gone with the pro if they offered the same screen size at the 15 inch air. and I would go for the 16 inch pro if it were not so much more expensive than the 16gb/512Storage 15inch air.
I'm running into an issue where final cut pro uses more than 8gb ram on my m1 mini to export 6k video from my camera, so it uses swap and i'm speedrunning SSD degradation this way (Like half a TB written to the SSD per minute of video) I wonder if a 16gb air would hold up against future 8k video exporting even if it's slower than the pro variants for my use
Thanks for a short and to-the-point video! I am currently with 14" PRO 2021 model (M1 Pro, 16GB, 512GB SSD). Thinking of renewing towards end of 2024. Using it for standard stuff, Powerpoint presentations, lots of Zoom presentations (I am a speaker and host lectures and workshops for solopreneours and SMB) and I must have Parallels and windows installed as I still serve clients remotely on some accounting stuff (plus, EXCEL works much better with large files on Win than on Mac). Anyway, I like the lightweight of the new Air and considering the M3 Air (with 16GB and 512 GB SSD) instead of the PRO... will the M3 Air holds long Zoom video calls with presentations without warming up? will it hold Parallels running windows without slowing down too much or warming up? or should I stick with a new 14" PRO ? Thanks for any insight you have!
M3 Air should handle those workflows. But it's not that much more portable than the Pro. In my opinion, if you're on the road a lot I would stick with the Pro. It has a much better screen, and you get more ports (especially HDMI for presentations).
Dude get a new one directly from apple store and don't fall for deceiving discounts on used markets as you'll always be compromising on something if you intend to spend lesser price for the products you buy !!!!
I bought an MacBook m2 in Prime day. Although I was getting an M1 for lesser I still decided to go with M2 because it is a newer design, camera 1080, slightly large screen with 500 nits brightness, mage safe. I did notice that Amazon was pushing sales of M1 and M3 while keeping M2 out of stock most of the time. That was my cue.
m2 has lower ssd speeds and lacks ray tracing support also with lesser npu's and also heats up more easily so with spending that extra 100$ could've gotten m3 which is overall a better machine !!!
@@sameersheriff7078 Good Luck playing AAA titles with 8 GB Ram. RT support is just marketing gimmick by Apple. SSD speeds boosts your overall performance including swap memory as well and m2 has the least so could rather go with M1 in comparison to M2 which is lot more cheaper if price is your priority !!! If your buying a tech products regardless of what your buying its better to buy it new from the store rather than used markets which might be sketchy at times and sell products with issues that you may not immediately notice so if you badly need one then go with apple refurbished store which is lot more reliable than others !!!!

in 90% to 95% a USED M1 MBA Base configuration with warranty from a trustworthy seller it will be have by far the overall bestt price/performance ratio, second choice a USED M1 MBA 16/256, third option if a bigger screen is necessary a USED M2 MBA 15 Base model, or a USED M2 MBA 15 16/256. But allreadythe devices 2 to 4 have a tremendous worse price/performance ratio. The rest 5% know exactly what they need and do a proper business calculation and buy exactly to their CURRENT needs and cover the cost via depriciation. But aloways compare the prices of used devices to current discounts like some sales are getting really tight to the prices of used refurbished devices, and for the shelf configuarations there are sometimes interesting discounts, for BTC nearly never.

hey, I currently use an Air M1 8gb 256 from my company and it serves me well.
For college which one?
I've been using my MacBook Pro for 9 years now. I like all the ports it has and it's still good at the video editing I do.😁
how's the overall performance after such a long time? battery time, any lag, etc.?

Both 16 ram and 512 gb ?
Which one would be more future proof and last longer
M3 macbook air
It depends on what you want to use it for. The deferent is clear
I enjoyed your video. Many times I wonder if newer is always better with Apple. I had a MacBook Air M1 and decided to upgrade to the 14 inch MacBook Pro M2 in 2023. It was only $100.00 more to go with the Pro with the configuration.
This was extremely helpful thank you!
I am in Morning... I have been crying all day.
My 17" 2011 MacBook Pro ... finally died...
I'm not mad... my gosh it was good for more time than I gave it credit.
But I am heartbroken... I LOVE my MacBook Pro
I am a Writer...
I write manuscripts... but would have had to upgrade this year sooner than later, because I need to download Final Draft Software so I can write Screenplays...
I seriously do not know what I NEED to buy... I have always had a MacBook Pro.
Can you help..

I am literally going through the same thing! My Macbook Pro from 2012 just finally called it quits over the weekend. I'm not sure what to get to replace it so here I am watching reviews. I hope you find a replacement that works for you!
First macbook. 13 inch or 15 inch?
I will probably try to get the air M1 but I dont know if I will be able to find a good deal in the next weeks. I will try to extend my time with my brothers laptop but its messed up using his when he still needs it and even more now
im still not sure whats best. If im using it for coding and web browsing would m1 air be fine?
What do you get if youre wife is getting into photography and wants to do photo and some video editing as a side gig?
MBA M3: which color is favorable considering we see fewer fingerprints/scratches/dents etc.?
Get m3 air 13' 8gigs/512 ram for simple workflows
Get m3 pro 14' 18gigs/1TB binned version for more demanding workflows
No need to go for used ones in my opinion !!!!
1:15 really? Why? Just… WHY?!
should i buy macbook air 13 inch with 16gb memory and 512 ssd for $1,430 or the macbook pro 14 inch with 18gb memory and 512 ssd for $1,645??
Is the Air M3 good enough for Graphic Designers who uses Photoshop mostly?
M1 Pro 16GB or M3 Air 13" 16GB, both SSD 512GB?
I just got a MacBook Pro 14, but I'm wondering if it's worth getting a case for it or if it will cause the laptop to overheat?
I’m not sure about the hard case, but I have a sleeve from Burga, and it doesn’t cause overheating
@@MeganBelton1 luv them
I think it's better to wait for the MacBook Air 13-inch M4, rather than getting a MacBook Pro M3 Pro 14, in terms of battery life and portability, aside from performance. What's your opinion? 🤔
M4 MBA isn’t coming until next spring so unless you can wait that long it might be better to get the current MBA or the M4 MBP
I’m not expecting any major upgrades with the M4. If you need a new MacBook now, just get M2 or M3. M3 has been out long enough you might be able to snag a good sale (like the one on Amazon now).
What about the M5 or M6 then? Feels like this is a thought process you are almost always bound to lose.
There’s a refurbished grade A MacBook Pro m2 256gb 8gb on eBay for £750, wondering whether to make an offer
m3 air with 16gb and 512 storage is actually 250 dollars off base price on amazon brand new

I think to have m2 with bigger RAM and SSD, because I don’t see a big difference with M3, for my daily use.
Get the m2 with 16gb/512. It will last you a solid 5-6 years or more. The 16 gb ram and 512 storage makes a big difference

I have a question for you. I have a MacBook and want the best monitor possible for productivity and gaming (it’s a 14 inch MacBook so I def want a larger screen)
But I’m a student and can’t spend too much. What monitor would you recommend under $400?
As for "Watching hentai" I died!💀💀
I do graphic design and accounting and Adobe software needs a 16 up ram for thise software to work. QuickBooks needs the same.
I already have a desktop that I use for gaming and school work when I’m at home. Idk what laptop to get because my work allows me to do schoolwork so I want a laptop to do school while I’m at work.
It seems to me that my best purchase was a macbook pro 13 on an m2 chip. I really like the idea of a touch bar and that's why I chose this model.
I hope you have better luck with yours because after the warranty expirred the touchbar started to blink everytime I started it. It takes a few restarts to stop it from blinking but since then I avoid the touchbar like crazy. I now got the M1 14" w/o a touchbar and I am supper happy because I never needed it not did I really use it except for the volume adjustment.

I am willing to buy a macbook, currertly looking at the macbook m1 2020. Is it worth it?
Get a 2015 Macbook pro 15 you will love it.
What is the difference between macbook pro m2 and macbook pro m2 pro?
M2pro have more cores.
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
There are people who use laptops for daily basis, and you guys should get the MacBook Air M1, you don’t need those new features.
Just buy m1 variants, they got faster but took away alot of crap. Save money
If its 2020/21 it makes sense but in 2024 not at all !!!
For student productivity?
1:15 I see what you did there. Nice work soldier!
I was going to consider the M2 Pro but its triple the price of the M2 Air .
M1 max vs m2 max vs m3 max which one is good for editing
Watch the video linked in the description, I go over this in detail.
M3 for sure !!! its no brainer buddy !!!
HEY kislux I have been watching you for years and im so proud of where you have made it! I love you so much! Also thanks for making my day
I hate the m2, and m3 box kinda design, though it's powerful. I love the M1 Air's design. I'm a product designer and m1 serves me well
Please tell me what's your suggestion should I go with M1 pro or M2 air if have budget
On paper the M2 is faster but if you are just an average consumer, not doing any video or photographic work, it is a waste of money. You can even go for the M1 14" with 16 GB of RAM. Certain websites offer this one refurbished with waranty at a great price.
Are they gonna lunch any new macbook this 2024? I wanna make a change and i am waiting
yup, they are going to launch the M4 pro and max MacBook pros in october
@@tharunsundramannamallai7587 so for December we all will be able to have one even if low “disponibility”?
I took a macbook pro m3 with 24 gb ram and honestly it is perfect for my needs
For that cost could've easily went up for pro chips though !!!
4:26 where did you get that wallpaper because i love it
What computer monitor are you using?
would've gone with the pro if they offered the same screen size at the 15 inch air.
and I would go for the 16 inch pro if it were not so much more expensive than the 16gb/512Storage 15inch air.
I recommend you to choose a 32GB RAM model If you want to go higher resolutions like 8k.
@@CreatedTech the HDMI is definitely a strong point.

Real.
Also there aren't many titles in Apple yet. Moreover, SSD speed matters only in very heavy task like huge-export or 3D rendering. For most users, speed is not an issue. M3 is a lazy upgrade, still limited by 8GB RAM, 256GB. Btw got $200 discount not $100 !
@@Little-bird-told-me I meant in apple store its just a $100 difference so it makes more sense to go for the newer ones !!!
I never told you to get a mac for gaming in the first place let alone hoping for AAA titles !!!!😂
I just mentioned RT is available that's it and it does have its own benefits depending on your workflow though !!!

But aloways compare the prices of used devices to current discounts like some sales are getting really tight to the prices of used refurbished devices, and for the shelf configuarations there are sometimes interesting discounts, for BTC nearly never.

both are more or less the same price
