Midnight 15" is a superstar. Despite the issue of the fingerprint, the dark colours help me concentrate on work especially paired with the dark theme.

The fingerprints are more of an OCD projectile then a software mode matching the metal💀
I thought of that same thing! (mix between dark mode and midnight for concentration). I have no ocd about fingerprints.

Just bought the midnight blue from Best Buy. Spectacular Color
Space Grey for me. I like mine in a balanced light and dark shade. And for me it looks more solid in appearance.

I think I would go with the midnight 15 inch mac, Im not really sure why since I might get annoyed with all the finger prints, I just think the midnight is really cool and it just stands out to me the most.

I think the silver hits different. I have the M1 MacBook Air in silver and it looks pretty from a distance. I also think the flatter lid with larger apple logo in silver makes it look more beautiful in the newer design

Your words perfectly describe why the silver was so intriguing for me. I ended up switching to silver after getting some time with both colors side by side. On top of that, my work machine has always been a Space Gray MacBook Pro. 3 different jobs, always the same color MacBook. This was my first personal MacBook and the Silver looked nicer and also gave me less anxiety lol
I have a Macbook Air m2 13 inch in Midnight and it is the best looking laptop ive owned i just like to look at it. 🤣
True, the fingerprint issue on the midnight can be annoying, but then the dirt sticking to lighter-colored wires can also be very annoying. I also like the absence of contrast vs the keyboard and the screen. I just got myself the midnight! I also bought myself a half-palm cover in midnight for protection and helps avoid the fingerprint issue as well. :)

Thanks for the unboxing. My 1st choice is also silver. Having said that, I have one technical critique on your video. It's the brightness exposure level. It's too bright and it's hard to judge the true color of the laptops. The silver is almost white since it reflects so much but It should be light grey color. I'd crank it down by -1/2 to 1 stop exposure. Thanks again!

I got the Silver. If I had to put them in order of the colors that follow, I’d go space gray, starlight, midnight. Silver by far the best, imo.
To me, from lowest to highest priority would be: Midnight, Starlight, Space grey, Silver
I owned Midnight for a while but then switched to Silver and couldn’t be happier. To me Midnight doesn’t as look as premium after a while. Also I love the contrast of the keyboard with Silver.
People love to hate on the notch, but coming from a 2015 MacBook Air, it makes total sense to me. The notch is a conscious and functional design choice with the new Macs. It allows the user to open the MacBook up, without getting smudges on the rest of the screen due to the super thin bezels.
The feet on the new MacBook Airs are horrible though. It constantly slides forward when I want to open it one handed (As a Mac should be opened with that premium Apple hinge).
Silver for the win. Cool, classy, and no greasy fingerprints or paint to chip off. Plus, probably only one in ten will choose it.
Yeah I agree. I used to be a big space grey fan when it come out a couple years ago but soon everybody got it and a lot of people’s macs look the same. Bought the m2 in silver this year and it’s great. Definitely stands out at uni next to everyone’s space grey laptops.
What about Star Light colour? Is it also versatile in use?

Silver looks relatively natural. Of course, if the current MacBook Air or MacBook Pro is also silver, you might as well try others, which are also good choices. Thanks for the review guys.
midnight looks nice in the 13inch, starlight is the preferred for the 15 inch. the silver is a timeless and classic.
People often forget about other issues with midnight colour (other than fingerprints)
First of all, I have it and it's my personal choice so I am not bashing it in any way.
BUT, when you are plugging in the usb c type connections on the left side, they can scratch and you will see a silver colour beneath the midnight.
Other colours do not have this problem.
i totally agree; i have a midnight; and i see two issues here: fingerprints and scratches that can be seen easily. but the advantage of silver is that you can never see a fingerptint or even a deep scratch. it looks new even after 1 year

I have only had Space Gray colors up until now where I ordered the Silver. A little brighter and cleaner looking to me and every now and then a change is good.
I was sure to get space grey but because of your video I chose silver and I am very hyped to unbox it 😮

@@slyfox720 same! Starlight is such a gorgeous neutral, like a soft sand or champagne. much warmer and softer than the cold grays.. My office, bags and clothes are all classic neutrals, so it goes with everything ;)
I would say 15 inch with the midnight just to complete the look with the midnight iPhone plus I’m not too fussed about the finger prints

watching Unbox Therapy review on the 15" MacBook Air helped me decide on which 15" MacBook Air I should get. I purchased Midnight and I love it fingerprints are not an issue.

I have had the 13 inch Midnight since the day it came out. Honestly, I don’t even notice the fingerprints anymore. But Starlight would be my second choice. I miss the gold MacBook Air.

Great unboxing and review. I like the Midnight. I guess I should upgrade from my silver MBP from 2009. I bought it to do my dad’s memorial video/ slideshow since my 2003 Mac something couldn’t, and it’s held up, with one pro upgrade. I’m Apple through and through.

I'm waiting for the more efficient and powerful 3nm M3 chip before I try my first Mac personally. Might even go for a 13 inch Pro if they refresh it one last time, cause I've always wanted to try the dead touchbar and as a life long PC user the notch without face ID is borderline a deal-breaker.

The 13 inch in midnight for sure. It's light, portable, the sound quality is actually really good. I do get the appeal of the bigger screen but I still vote for the 13 inch.
Midnight is trash, RIP spacegrey. Also the stupid and unnecessary notch gets *slightly* less bad the bigger the canvas witch innit of itself is reason enough to go for 15 or 16.

I got the MacBook Air M2 15” in Midnight and I love it I think it looks amazing! the fingerprints are not an issue for me. I thought the majority in the comments would dislike the midnight but they don't! It really stands out.
how do you manage the fingerprints on the midnight?
I have the 1st gen M1 MacBook Air in gold (although it looks more of a rose gold) and iPhone 12 Pro Max in gold. Something about the golden tint elevates the aesthetic from studious to elegant for me, so Starlight all the way! But as much as the 15" screen is calling to me, I didn't jump from a 2013 MacBook Pro to the 2020 M1 Air just to upgrade to the next chip. I'd like to sit on this one for a few more years :)
My first MacBook was the 2020 M1 air in space grey. I loved it so much that I upgraded to an M1 Pro a year later in silver and gave the air to my wife. This past year I bought one of the new 13inch M2 airs in midnight black and I like it a lot but I gotta say. Something about the old 2020 M1 airs body/frame I like a lot better. Sometimes I’ll pick my wife’s up and just admire what a sturdy little MacBook it is. I don’t feel the same way about the new chassis on the M2 air. It just feels a little more fragile to me.

Don't buy the M2, it throttles and the SSD is slower than the M1 version, unless you buy the 512gb
@@AlexCuggiani yea you’re right but who buys air to work it into a scenario where this even matters? Answer is nobody. Anyone who would need the kind of performance you’re griping about would already be in the market for a Pro. Base model m2 air is totally fine for 98% of users. And I have an m1 air, m2 air (base model) as well as a 14inch M1 Pro so I kinda know from first hand what the fuck I’m talking about.

I agree that they are practical the same. From a price point of view though, do I get the base 15 inch model for the bigger screen or do I get a 16GB 13 inch model for the same price now that it's been discounted a little?

Space grey. I can’t enjoy the midnight because it’s a finger print magnet. Without that problem, midnight is my favorite.

My other MacBooks have been space gray and I too ordered silver for a change. Just like you did.
13” vs 15”:
I think that “hunch factor” point is really important. If your back starts hurting from naturally tending to lean in to see the screen; it’s really taking away from the point of having a lighter laptop.
also I have never met a single person who is constantly flying, further more have never met anyone who actually gets meaningful work done on an airplane. I feel like the airplane argument for the 13”-15” air is ultra exaggerated and extremely niche but constantly brought up. If you’re constantly flying, chances are you can afford a fully loaded 14” pro.
For me Id go with the 15” air because it’s cheaper than the MacBookpros, while still being very powerful and very sexy. It checks off all the boxes for most people.

I just got the 13.6 M2 MacBook Air with 16 gigs of ram memory, and 512 SSD storage in color Silver. I think the Silver is very elegant, as an Artist I really like that one. This is my first laptop, and I love it. I'm used to Dell desktops, last Dell I had, had Windows 7 pro with 2T hard drive. I used to have a website and built my own web pages. The 13 inch is so light weight, and in the laptop briefcase cross body doesn't put a strain on my shoulders. Taking the Mac class next week. The 15 inch sound is louder but, I don't think it is that much better than 13 inch Air. The best sound quality is on the pro models.
I was so confused to pick a colour. You sort for me so well. Definitely Silver.

Starlight all the way. It’s stunning and not as fingerprint heavy in my opinion!
I forgot my 16” M1 MBP’s 140W power supply behind once and in a pinch used one of my Anker Nano 20W travel chargers. With the MBP powered off, I was able to get it from 18% to 100% overnight (about 6.5hr) so maybe even less time than that. Good to know if needed that will still work. I’m sure 35W for the Air is not a major issue.
They go to 67- i have a 65 watt charger and i get 0-50 in 30mins
And Apple will upgrade it to 70w if you ask. That’s better than the 61W they had for the M1 pro

Completely agree. In reality I’d say a higher proportion of people buy a MacBook Air simply because it is an apple product. I can see why some would disagree and see it as overpriced when cheaper, better performing products may be available. I can also see the argument that they are pointless when the pro offers far more in terms of value for money in regards to performance.
For the money yes, there may well be cheaper and better performing alternatives. However as a business Apple have marketed their products to make them desirable to the masses. They put this product right in the sweet spot of their target market and have angled their marketing to make that target perceive their brand as desirable and high quality. Regardless of individual opinions of Apple, they are far and away the best at this. Above all other reason, that is why they are so successful.
Love it or hate it, they are excellent at what they do.

Battery King, Easily work 2 days or 16 hours on single charge, I charged the laptop to 100% at 10.00PM, then closed the lid without turning it off, then on next day morning at 11.00AM I started working on website development with 50% brightness [ no music etc. running in background ], then stopped for 2 hours from 4.00PM to 6.00PM again closed the lid didn't turn off, then again worked from 6.00PM to 9.00PM, and closed the lid with 55% battery left, then on next day again started work again at 11.00AM with same schedule and at 7.00PM battery was at 10% plugged the charger by the time I am done working battery was again at 100%
Don't charge your macbook over 85%. Because it cause your battery health and cycle always charge your macbook on 20 or 25% to maximum 85% it will last longer❤❤
