Amen. just because its new...doesnt mean its good.Ive had several new parts from the dealer(i was a ford/jeep tech) that didnt work properly...frustrating to say the least!
No, is right underneath your rear tailgate, on the chassis. It’s no a fuse box, it’s just a harness were all the wires coming from front of truck meet, then they distribute to right and left rear lights
Frank j Weatherspoon check on my videos for ground locations.. reference... chevy s-10 back up lights not working.... this video will show you were all ground locations are
Thank you so much for advice... I have a 97 ole betsy.. did not know passenger side was out. Got pulled over... never changed one before nor figure out where darn screws were to remove to change... This was helpful and hope when i change it it works 🤔🤔 Thanks!
More than likely is a bad ground... there are two grounds on the frame, just behind each brake light, clean them and hopefully this would solve your problem... also there is a distributor wiring harness, where all wires are dispersed to each brake light, but this is less likely to be your problem, anyhow start with your grounds, good luck...
Got a question eddie! I have a 91 s10 and my right signal rear light was not working right! So I thought it was a bulb that needed to be replaced. Come to find out is that the bulb is a 2057 If I rem. right! The bulb is not making full contact! I can press on it and it works, but after I let go! No contact! I even tried a new bulb just to see if that would work! It didnt
This is what Americans can expect from what’s being sold to us. Looks good on the outside… but doesn’t work. What are we paying for over and over again?
My drivers side brake light turns on at first when I turn the truck on and turns on and when I hit the blinker but wont turn on when I push the brake pedal
here's a good one....my right brake light does not work...disconnected the harness behind the left light down on the frame not getting fire in the harness for the right brake light...checked all fuses...all good..why won't the fire come down the right back brake ? the right front turn signal will work fine but flashes fast. no brake light and no turn signal on right rear... I really need some help on this if anybody knows what to do..Oh yeah!! I also changed the bulb 2 or 3 times to no avail..
limbslapper one, I had a similar issue years ago with an S10, locate the main harness feeding all the rear lights, they should come to a power distribution harness that looks like a (T) Check to see if you have power before and after this power distribution harness, if you got power coming in but not out this is problem... you can go to a local junkyard and buy one.... hope it helps
As far as your front turn signal flashing fast, is because your rear light is not working, if you really need your truck today you can bypass the distribution harness,. With a light tester figure out which wire is for turn signal and brake, then splice them together... but it would be easier to just a different power distribution harness
Check the continuity of the bad bulb, opposite sides pins.
thank you you saved me a lot of time and headaches
Eddie I have 2000 s10 when I hit brakes the reverse lights come on

ronnie parker, try cleaning the bulb socket sometimes they accumulate dirt and don’t make good contact... hopefully is not the bulb socket itself...
I always check headlight and taillight bulbs by shaking them after looking at them
What ever works, right?

jaysippa seems like a bad bulb or bad ground.
My right brake light works when the tail lights are not on. But when the lights are on the light shuts off when i hit the brakes.
I have the same issue, was it a bad bulb or a short?
Did you figure out what the issue was? I have the same problem
