I just changed mine by watching your video. I have a 97 s10. My harness was on the left side. I wouldn’t have had enough faith to do it without your video. Thanks a lot.I also didn’t have to take off much.

This video shows combo switch wiring harness removal under steering column! Only video Ive found that does. Crucial demonstration if you havent seen how to disassemble, especially for a 2001 Chevy express van with very tight space uder the dash. Thank you!!
What brought me here? Failed rear turn signals, brake lights and rear flashers. Just Answer says it's the faulty combo switch. 98 S-10, I will give this a try, thanks for showing how!
I have 2000 gmc jimmy sle 4x4. The green connector on top of the steering column in this video (6:19) is just hanging loose on Jimmy; I cannot find the receiving end on top of the steering column. Any suggestions on what to do with the dangling green connector? Thanks.
Awesome. Already sped up. Concise, yet still thorough. ...Hey! Maybe that's what the wife's tryin to relay w bedroom activity... 🤔 (busy girl, she is). Thanks!
one question there are 2 versions of these online, 1 is like yours with cruise and other is without, the one with cruise is ½ the price, could I use the cruise one, even though my s10 doesn't have cruise?
Mine doesn’t have the green and black wires with green connector, only the black one, mine is a 97, the one in your video seems newer so im guessing it’s an extra wire only present on later models?
Help, my 1999 Chevy Blazer has a problem with the lights, they only turn on the high beams and I already checked the headlight connectors and they are only getting 1.7 volts, I'll check the fuses and relays, do you think it's the headlight lever or what else can I do? review I would appreciate it if you help me, greetings and thanks for sharing this video
Any tips for radio only having static? Am and fm. I’ve taken dash apart pulled the wires out put them back in pulled the antenna cable out. I believe it’s the cable from what I’ve read. I just don’t know how to replace it with it barley being able to take the whole dash apart
I have a 95 Sonoma 4.3 tbi automatic I don’t have any of the green and black wires and it shifts really hard would that be a cause or is that just anti theft
How necessary is it to remove the dashboard bezel? I think I should be able to snake the two covers out easier because mine is console shifted instead of column, so I won't need to screw around with trying to line up the shift lever boot, since mine doesn't have one. The whole bottom panel comes out without removing the bezel, so the only reason I can see is IF there are any screws obstructed by the bezel, but I don't remember anything like that. I'm going to be doing this on my 2003 ZR-2 Blazer in the not too distant future. I had to call a locksmith to remove my lock cylinder after I got the whole thing torn down. The only reason I needed him was because mine wouldn't turn, so I was at a brick wall. Anyway, I got to the part about installing the upper part of the clamshell, and either I must have been too rough with it, or the 4-way switch was super brittle, because I ended up breaking it off and I was unable to turn the 4-ways off. I tried pushing down on the button, but I was unable to get it to stay locked into place with the top ¾ of the button missing. I must have been too rough with it too, because I ended up losing all turn signals and brake lights. The only way to turn off the 4-ways was to remove the fuse, which caused ALL of the rest of what was working to stop. Right now I'm down to headlights, tail lights and the high mount center stoplight working outside; no turn signals front or rear, no lower brake lights and no 4-ways. Yeah, to say the least, it was an interesting 10 mile journey home through mostly heavy traffic with 100% of my indicators nonfunctional.
Hi, great video. Both my low and high beams stay on with the high/low beam arrow on when the lights are on. Have a 2003 Chevy Blazer 4 x 4 LS. I replaced the relay, light switch , and now multiplication switch. Both lights still remain on and not able to switch high to low beam. Suggestions? Thanks.
So let me get this straight. 1999 blazer. brake lights don't work except top one does. Turn signals do work. But the problem is the turn signal switch and not the brake switch? Whose bright idea was this?
good video, well that saved a bunch of bs. i thought i would have to pull the airbag and steering wheel. i am used to working on older stuff that is why basic compared to this newer stuff. i say newer still 20 years old now. i started working on stuff from 60s to early 80s. as newer stuff got cheap well here i am. it is almost a comedy seeing how new age stuff is made.

ALERT This tutorial is useless for blazer models 97 and previous. Those models require disassembling the entire upper steering column to replace the multi function switch.

I have to fix mine as well, however tearing out half the dash does not appeal to me. What all did you remove to make life easier?

For F sake, way to much dismantling for a stupid turn signal switch
This is same for 2000 Bravada, S10 Jimmy. Haven't done one since the 80's, very helpful video!
Very informative video, but would’ve been even more helpful if you proved to sizes of the drivers and wrench sockets.
Been out of touch with wrench turning for a bit. This helped me out. Thanks
Just use this video for a switch on my 98 Blazer excellent directions excellent guide Great job

My rig does not seem to have a place to put that wire where you had the green clip. green/white & black wires? Tips? What does it do?

Is there anything that would have too do with control switches in the dash that would make your car not idle
What kind of socket was used at 3:39
Do you have a video for 1990 S-10 non tilt
Ok Friends love this guy's Videos

Sounds like a grounding issue.

I watched this video. Now I are mechanic.
You a life saver it works for my 96 s 10 thanks for the info
My dash on my 95 is nothing like this dash. Is it the same procedures?
So let me get this straight. 1999 blazer. brake lights don't work except top one does. Turn signals do work. But the problem is the turn signal switch and not the brake switch? Whose bright idea was this?
What does the green and black wire control?
Genius engineering….
thank u sir....
Would be nice for you to do this on a 1994. The steering column and dash is different.
atleast i’m both the only ond
What drill is that
97 Blazer is identical correct?
I am about to do this exact same job , thank you for a clear informative video

What are the green and black things for
Anti theft system
worked great
EXCELLENT TUTORIAL! Best on the web on this particular repair, THANK YOU! LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for you efforts! Sonny (CT)
What size bolts.
7mm and 10mm
I guess I don't need wipers.
Guess I need to watch again as I thought I saw bolts going in that I didn't see coming out. Lol
I lake you chanel
This is how you change one in a 97 to 2005
You have to do all that just to replace a turn signal switch? 😮
The bolt for the harness is just spinning
95 s10 with no cruise control has no extra wires like the green and black
Who else noticed the Duracell car battry
94 S10s do not have the same daah and steering wheel as 95+ this video unfortunately is misleading for me.
Did this perfectly and nothing on it works at all
this video is not correct the dash on 98 and up are different
This video is only good for a 98 or newer not 94-04
Y not just drill alittle hole and fish around for a min?
ALERT

My 1995 is a stick and is nothing like this. Not even close.
My grandmas 1994 is totally different
