- I've had the pleasure of knowing Takeshi Kobayashi for over a decade now but have never actually been to one of his Kday!! events. It's an annual car show he does every year and though I've been to Japan many, many, times, I've just never made my way up to Miyagi Prefecture during Fall. After my trip to Australia, I decided to head to Japan for a few weeks and it just so happened that Kday!! was happening the same month. Yasu had planned to attend with his newly-finished USDM Civic coupe so everything just sort of fell into place. Not only would be be able to present the Civic in its near-final form, I'd finally have the opportunity to experience Takeshi's labor of love in his hometown...

Crazy there’s a USDM scene there in Japan. Funny it doesn’t matter what country it is in, we always want what we didn’t get.
Yasu san looks proud of his work with David's old coupe. He should be. It looks amazing. Also, those Odysseys are pretty awesome.

Literally the car I built my ej1 because of is David's car. I still have mine to this day and someday I'll finish it. Mine is slightly different but I am green as well.

@@THECHRONICLES okay I was just checking because he mounted the harness under the brakes booster. When I've seen by heater or a/c. Thanks it looks great I want to do milspec but keep heater and A/c.

Great content as always....on Kogi's (?) S2K, I believe those are TM Garage rear over fenders (and the side markers are on incorrectly, which is most likely why they are falling out).
Oh yeah, you're right, TM Garage is basically Spoon with a little vent added.

When I think usdm civic I think of gsr blades, enkei hx wheels, si wheels and ls webs. Basically all the better looking stock wheels.

@@THECHRONICLES 😂🤷I know it’s not right but we were poor and stock parts were only available at the junkyard etc we assumed modified stock was usdm and jdm was body kits/aero and imported Japanese brand wheels etc.
