    HE SOLD IT!? 😏 THAT EXPLAINS THE FALL OFF OF QUALITY AND TASTE.....😋 STILL LOVE THAT "DEVIL'S 🔥 PIT" BBQ SAUCE.(MAYBE JUST A BAD STORE?)

    I've met Dave and Kathy a few times when I worked for him back in the late 90's. Both super nice people. He will most likely never remember this but one night he came in to his restaurant to see how we were doing and went back on the line. He was coaching the team on how to properly char the ribs that were on the grill. Lol I thought it was hilarious as the couple racks he did, were sent back as being "over charred". lol
    I showed him how my customers liked it, he thought they were under charred, but the guests/customers loved it. He went out and talked to a few people then left a little while later. His house had a sweet test kitchen in it as well that we used a few times.. Doing events at the Metrodome was a heck of a lot of fun as well.
    It really went downhill when he sold it back in 14'. The new owners only care about $$$, not the food or service.

      I used to work at a Famous Dave's Chicagoland location and i will say Dave is a good guy. The fact that he always continues to work hard to come up with ways to improve his ideas and companies not just from an office, but the ground floor along side his employees is what makes him great. Its not his fault Famous Dave's has now not been as popular. From my study in business, whenever a mom and pop shop sells to a big group of investors, it kind of kills the brand. WHY? because the mom and pop who run things are always looking out for the quality and ways to improve. The investors are looking at ways to save, cut costs, and lower overhead even if it lowers quality and service. I hope he continues to pursue his pizza idea and no matter what NEVER sell it off in order to maintain his standards and his positivity. God bless ya Dave.
