The answer is so simple. You can walk, run, ride a horse, fly, take a bus … any number of things without driving. Your right to travel is NOT being impeded.
I look forward to the day a judge says "You want to exercize your right to travel? Then walk." 😂
How about fly a horse?
How come none of these idiots bother to look up what the Supreme Court said about driving? In 1976 they clearly and plainly said driving is a privilege not a right. If they want to argue a right to travel the judge can ask them to point to any Supreme Court ruling that says traveling and driving are the same action exclusively. 3rd in Balen V South Carolina a Sovereign Citizen took their traveling not driving argument to the Supreme Court. They laughed and refused to hear the case. Every single one of their arguments was in that case. No jurisdiction, traveling is a right etc. He was found guilty by a local court and appealed it all the way to the Supreme Court without a single higher court hearing it because it's based on complete and total ignorance and misinterpretation of the law.
Was going to say the same thing. I have argued my rights to walk on the King's Highway at any time.
If I want to wear all black in the middle of the night then it up to me to understand that cars may kill me and it is my duty to make myself seen or get off the roadway.
In protest I may lawfully walk in the road without arrest as long as I do not attempt to stop in the road.
You can not stop the King's Highway from moving so at walking pace you are indeed travelling.
Our motorways( Freeways) wete deliberately never classed as Queen's Highway and have not converted to King's Highway. They are only open to certain types of motorised vehicle. Horses, pedestrians, disability scooters, and mopeds are banned by law.
So our laws are similar, I can travel anywhere within the 4 Countries, without official ID or licence. Clearly I need a ferry to visit Northern Ireland.
They are not able to read English instructions ...
B3sides tjat tje older clause about right to travel was added t9 keep states from taking advantage of traveller's crossing state lines.....they were price gouging...and demanding payment to enter w no state jurisdiction....and that is why STATES WERE GIVEN
POWER OVER STATUTES 💪
to protect us from federal tyranny 😮
As a juror, I would be pissed at this fool for wasting my time.
Yeah but your $5 daily stipend would probably help
@@XX-vt3gx That will buy you a Monster Energy drink to stay awake during his ramblings!
I was on a jury with such a fool. It was a lawsuit and he was asking for $50,000 for an auto acident. The other counsel offered him $20,000 in closing arguments. I suggested to the rest of the jury that we award only $10,000 plus jury fees as he had pissed us all off so much during the trial. The entire jury agreed with me within 30 seconds of deliberation. The award barely covered repair bills but no damages, no medical and NOT to pay the jury fees.
Such is the power of the courts when you play stupid games.
@@XX-vt3gx I'm sorry but I'm going to need a lot more than 5 dollars for having to listen to this knuckle dragging buffoon drone on ad nauseam before you could even begin to convince me that it wasn't a waste of my precious time.
I would find him guilty of things he wasn't even charged with.
As an observer from across the pond, I've deduced that the Constitution does state that citizens have the right to travel unhindered between states....on foot, horseback, bicycle etc, etc, but if you drive a motor vehicle, you have to abide by the road traffic laws. So you need a licence, registration and insurance. Wisconsin V Brookes demonstrates that this sort of "word salad" doesn't hold up in court.
There is such a thing as a right to travel, but it doesn't mean anything like what these "sovereign citizens" think it means. See Saenz v. Roe.
That judge is wasting her time trying to explain facts and logic and law to that kindergarten dropout....
He says he is not a citizen,so stop right here and report to ICE ,Immigration, Customs Enforcement.
That's what I keep saying. Take them at their word.
Not saying he is right, but we don’t call ICE or others cause he isn’t a citizen. We have plenty of people here legally that aren’t citizens.
Exactly. If he can’t produce a green card or valid visa to be in this country, then he needs to be deported.
They should send them to Morocco if that is where they come from but the dumbest thing is they have social security numbers and birth certificate that says they are born in the US just a stupid way to get out of charges and not pay anything
As a Citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland I would still expect (rightly so) to follow the Laws and Statutes of the United Sates of America should I choose to drive a Motor Veeehicle on US roads.
Register the Veeehicle
Insure the Veeehicle
Its really very simple
Calling him an idiot is an insult to idiots.
True.
You are so very right
It really is. Given his total lack of understanding of basic rights vs. privileges, statutes as law, etc., I feel this clown is one of the most goofball defendants we’ve seen making these right to travel claims. The cases he referenced were so far of field from his charges that buddy was in a different galaxy.
His mother obviously used melted crayons in his baby bottle.
He's a slouching, mumbling, rambling definition of Dunning-Kruger.
No court in America has ever stated you don't need a license to drive. Or you can ignore a license.
Why is this judge wasting the courts time?
If the court is frivolous, why is he citing court cases ?
🐿 distractions 🐿
He is cherry picking from court cases.....and leaving out the bulk of the factual information that is within,
All in the hopes that he can somehow sell this load of baloney to the court.
His citations are what's frivolous. None of the cases he mentions have any relevance to the charges against him.

When he said “what dey gonna testify about?” regarding the police officers, I almost pissed my pants laughing.
Why do they let these people waste valuable court time?
Because it’s a scam. Apparently they realize that they clog up the system and take up,valuable resources and try to wear down the prosecutors and courts until they just give up.

Fabulous.
Yes. You can travel all you like, you just can't drive.
But "the supremacy clause says that federal law trumps all state laws." Uh, no it doesn't.
Watching the way the judge handles Mr. Williams one can only conclude that she must have been a former special-ed. teacher.
A very patient judge. A very ignorant defendant.
If these People say "I am representing" and are not the person.
Then I would say,
"If you are representing the person, then I need your Bar ID. Representing yourself as an attorney without being recognized as a licensed attorney, is a Felony. And a Warrant will be issued for your arrest. And seeing as the Defendant is not present, a warrant will be issued for them too. Good bye."
Right on! 😘
No. You can represent yourSELF without a law license. You can’t represent another without one. If one doesn’t admit to being the person accused of the crime, but claims to be representing said person and they don’t have a license to practice law then THAT is illegal.
Absolutely
Many judges are doing just that.
Why doesn’t anyone say you have the right to travel by feet, bus, Uber, or horse; that doesn’t say you have the right to operate a motor vehicle?
Mate, you can travel freely where you like. Walk, run, catch a bus, catch a train, no problem in travelling freely. As soon as you operate a vehicle on the highway, you need a licence and tax. This is the bit that is a privilege. Operating a vehicle is not a constitutional right.

Weird how they always think that "the right to travel" lets them drive without a license, but never try to get on a plane without a ticket.

Not a good analogy as he is not entering his plane, the plane is owned and operated by someone else and they are charging him to enter their property.

It really doesn't matter where you're from. You break the law and get caught, even if your from another country, you go to court and face the consequences.
In that man’s car, does he put the lever in T for travelling or D for DRIVE.
Why not put it into 1-2-3-4 or R? Driving doesn't depend upon having an automatic transmission.
Don’t confuse the poor child anymore than he already is.😂
Poor guy, he has a hard time presenting his beliefs when he can't even read the script.
Well, he should have spent more time in school learning how to speak, read, articulate, and critically think.
@@barbott5941 something I’ve noticed as a trend among people that subscribe to these kinds of nonsensical belief systems is that they have a hard time discerning between facts and what is essentially their own opinion. Case in point, I once had one of these individual say the following is a fact: “If the pilot had smoked a cigarette before flying, he would’ve been calmer and not crashed.” I had to explain to him that that’s an opinion.
Yeah, he’s worse than moving his lips while reading to himself; he’s got to sound it out.
@@barbott5941 That's the big problem. Getting everyone educated. But some people resist it, then attempt to become thinking adults. So sad and frustrating.
@@dragoncubes1074I think (opinion) that this has nothing to do with lack of education. It is willfully choosing to ignore what he or she learned while in school because some Internet Guru has convinced them that everything they learned is wrong and the Guru is the only source of knowledge. An actual lack of education just makes it so much easier for Gurus to convince them that the Guru is the only source of knowledge.
Special visitation??? What are you, an archangel? A spirit from the beyond?
I love this guy's face when the Judge and Prosecutor push back -- he makes a face like he just assembled an electronic device, and no matter what he does, the power won't come on.
I don't understand why this "right to travel" is so difficult for them to counter? Police and judges struggle with this all the time. My answer to them is they absolutely do have a right to travel, but if they want to operate a motor vehicle in order to travel, then the need a license, registration, and insurance on this mechanical instrument of travel. If they want to travel by foot, roller skates, pogo stick, or bus/train/airplane they can do it all they want. None of those decisions have anything to do with motor vehicles.
And furthermore, what the "right to travel" is really referring to is the right to freely move between different states. Basically saying that states cannot set up a border and require a specific permit to enter their state like you might when travelling in between countries. It was put in place to prevent states from becoming too much like individual countries.
Operate a motor vehicle *on the public roads.
Yes, this judge (while correct) did a poor job of explaining that at his level - but to be fair to her, she probably hasn't seen as much of SovCits as we have so didn't understand how fundamental their miscomprehension is.
Trying to argue with them is a waste of time.
They're gonna say stupid shit like "I'm not driving", "this is not a vehicle", and so on.
There are three simple steps on how law enforcement should deal with these morons"
Step 1 - Ask.
Step 2 - Order.
Step 3 - Make.
These idiots don't understand the concept of rights having RESTRICTIONS. In their tiny brains, if it's a "right", that MUST mean it's UNCONDITIONAL and ABSOLUTE. Therefore, he's dumb enough to think the "right to travel" means he can go ANYWHERE by ANY MEANS and not face consequences. I'm sure he thinks his 9-year-old daughter could fly an F16 through a crowded mall and that would be legal.
I wish the Judge would have been a bit more direct. "You have the right to travel your happy ass but you don't have the right to do it while operating a two-ton death machine with no valid license and insurance for when you inevitably run into someone".....and the Supreme Court has never said anything to the contrary.
She was unbelievably patient with him. Even gave him some law education, although it looks like nothing got processed in his brain.

Ha! Brilliant!
You can walk or ride the bus anywhere in the US. That's traveling... but if you want to drive, you need a license.
You can even drive without a license, but only on private land. Happens regularly on larger farms.
License is needed for operating motor vehicle on public roads just as a public safety issue.
True...And anyone who believes the right to travel is absolute and can't be regulated by law should try riding a bicycle on a freeway.
Well, I have seen videos where sovcits refuse to pay tolls because that impedes their right to travel.
They just want everyone else to pay for the transportation infrastructure which included public transportation. There seem to be people out in the world who work full time finding situations where a person is expected to do anything, like learning to do something, like operating a motor vehicle, then taking a test do demonstrate you know the rules that apply to operating a motor vehicle and can safely operate something that can easily be converted into a deadly weapon.
For those people who don’t want or need to operate a motor.vehicle, like people in Manhattan who often do not even own or lease a motor vehicle for their personal transportation, the Gurus work to find ways to make their constituents feel like they can do anything with absolutely no cost or obligation to themselves. Some people simply never mature from their teens where they are expected to challenge authority of any kind as a phase in becoming an adult. That phase should teach people who does and doesn’t have authority over them and how they recognize that authority.
Police have the authority, and the duty, to enforce the laws equally. No one can opt out of being subject to whatever laws they don’t think should apply to them.
These long-winded, passive judges drive me more crazy than these people.
"Murdock v. Pennsylvania was a 1943 Supreme Court case that ruled that a state cannot tax people who sell religious merchandise." - and just as @TeamSkeptic says has absolutely nothing to do with driving.
It's pretty simple, you can be traveling in a car as a passenger but as soon as you start driving you are operating a motor vehicle.
Travel by foot, bicycle, horse, and other non-motorized methods requires no driver’s license. The privilege to drive a motor vehicle on public roadways is regulated by individual states.
The mother of all cases on the topic of motor vehicles is Hendrick v. Maryland, circa 1915. Hendrick way back then claimed he did not need an operator license nor the need to register the vehicle. He lost. SCOTUS: “In the absence of national legislation covering the subject, a state may rightfully prescribe uniform regulations necessary for public safety.” “A state may require registration of motor vehicles, and a reasonable license fee…”
One thing I've always thought that should be pointed out to them is that they can travel in a car/motor vehicle/automobile, so long as they're either in the back, or riding shotgun, and not in direct control.
Whoa whoa whoa, ‘motor vehicle’? Now you’re talking commerce!
Haha just kidding. That’s the weakest of all arguments on their part. Can you imagine the first bozo that thought he found a connection between the UC commercial code and the use of motor vehicles on that statement? They must have felt like the second coming of christ or something!

They have. I’ve seen it. They call anything they don’t like hearing, “irrelevant”

Plus their line of argumentation is a perfect defense of theft. Since they're just traveling and taking that vehicle away from them restricts their ability to travel, so they should also be able to just fly a plane, since they're "just traveling."
Since you know, to them there's no difference between the freedom to travel and the method they do it.

That's what wikipedia does, it gives one enough knowledge to be common, not a specialist. This man? Mentally restarded.
It was pretty funny to see him stammering over his notes! Print out crap from the internet, don’t read it, go to court as an ignoramus.
Probably thought he was the brightest bulb in the room
This man just held up a copy of a Wikipedia page to a judge. My teachers back in junior high wouldn't even except that as a valid source when doing school work.
He can barely stumble his way through this "defense." I wonder how it will turn out?
He definitely has reading and comprehension difficulties. Add his delusions about the law and himself and that's one disastrous mix. 💣
I feel so sorry for the judges, lawyers, and police who are exposed to these loopy nitwits all the time. They usually show a lot of patience.
They literally fight so hard to not pay bills, responsibilities, their kids, or anything. The same ones who will fight everyone that they're so great and high values. Can't tell them anything
Can't believe he didn't read his own notes before coming to court. These people are such a waste of space.
Too funny "Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness" and he adds "right to travel". This judge is too patient with him.
I feel so bad for these state defense attorneys who are underpaid and begging to help this man for free. To keep him from digging his grave deeper.
I'm pretty sure that binge watching a season of "Suits" would make me more qualified to represent myself in court than any SovCit.
Watch a few years of Law and Order and you'd have a lot more on the ball than this kid.
"Larry, 😆Curly, 😄 and Moe, 😃 .... El Bey." 😅🤣😂. Perfect! 🤣😅😆
When the judge says she is writing down she is doing her groceries😂😂😂🦄🏴🦄🏴
