- You never know what your'e going to get when you purchase a 2nd hand watch on FB marketplace - here is what I found. This video demonstrates a full strip-down and service of an ETA 2824 watch movement installed into a Mido Baroncelli watch originally purchased in 2015, but now, 7 years later, purchased by myself from a random seller on Facebook Marketplace. Did I make a mistake? Let's find out.

she is not water resistent now
I KNEW you didn't forget the gasket, but I was driven crazy by not seeing it in the reassembly. Thanks for the video! Many of us missed you.
Took you long enough to come back
Hi, I just thought I should let you know someone tried to scam me (get me to click a link)in the comments using what looked like your logo but the name was wrong. I am not sure if you need to see it before I report it? Edit I've reported it to RUclips.
@@jenilocke8255
yes...i also get comments for clicking on the link whose logo image is similar to watchrepairguys
Pleasure seeing you back here mark.
What! ,,,, The Nekkid Warrior is here too? My life has just reached the pinnacle of AWESOME. 😁
Cheers pal - really appreciate that.
Small world...
Hey, Nekkid! Don't you just think that this case needs a little bit more attention?

My Good Sir, WHERE ON GOD"S EARTH HAVE YOU BEEN?... I'm hoping that you and your family are in the best of health. We've missed you here in The Bronx NYC and were worried.
Very very happy that you're back . Cheers ! Thumbs up 10,000 times.
Same! I'm just getting into the hobby, found his channel then POOF he disapears for a year. I hope all is well and I look forward to more excellent content !
The godfather of all watchmaking channels is back!! Great video mate and once again you show us all how it’s done. I learnt loads from areas I don’t grease to using that special stuff for the autoworks wheels! Oh and I need one of those white spatula thingys!
Great to see you back on the platform, especially after our discussion in January.
Thanks Mike :)
@@WatchRepairChannel Off topic. Your "How to spot a fake Seiko Turtle Pepsi" made me finally buy a watch I had always longed for! Not a Turtle, but I love it anyway and it was from an authorised Australian Seiko dealer.
Seiko Pepsi Prospex SSC785P Blue Silicone Mens Chronograph Watch
$487.50 $650 Loved the price too!!!! Cheers from a long time Australian subscriber. Thanks mate.
When the world needed him most he returned 😎
Great to see you back Mark! Video quality looks even better than before 😀
😊👍
I'm so happy to see Mark's video again!! The best educational watch repair channels on YT!!
Thank you
When stripping the movement i was thinking "for a long term daily worn watch that movement is very clean"...Then when you get to reassembly. By god it shines. What a difference.
Wow you're back!
Ahhhh! What a breath of fresh air! I feel like I've been cheating by watching the other "watch makers" on YT. Thank you for bestowing your magnificence back upon us.
I found this so relaxing to watch! Couldn’t believe the difference after it had been disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. Beautiful work and a wonderful video… thank you.
Wonderful to have you back on RUclips after ages
After sooo long!!! Thanks for coming back!! Stay awesome!
OMG i waited for a long while for your new video, was worry you stop making video. Appreciate all your videos. Thanks
This is probably the best 2824 assembly video available.
Look who's back!! Welcome welcome, I missed your videos greatly!!!
Welcome back! We’ve all missed your channel additions, but the availability of the next chapter in your course make the wait worthwhile! This one is another of your classics!
Thanks Paul
...welcome back Mark...we missed the best watch channel on earth....
Great to see you back. You were missed.
The teacher is back.
Nice.
Best regards and good whelth from Portugal

The most chill channel on RUclips returns after a huge hiatus, no mention, no apology, just back at it. Somehow very fitting. *edit - 15 minutes in, mention and apology... ah well, at least he took his time :)
😁
Its been a long year without WRC videos.....so glad you're back.
The man is back I’ve missed your videos
Thank you for this
Also what ever happened to that bellmatic you were fixing up
So that's where you've been. I have truly missed you content. Glad to have you back.
I almost thought you passed away, great to see you back!
What a pleasant surprise on a Monday morning. Glad to see you back.
Welcome back Mark.
I can stop planning a rescue mission now.
What a video to start the comeback with 😵
I had trouble seeing while doing a 6000 mile service on a Vespa GTS 300. New belt, variator weights etc.
Can't imagine having to look at parts as small as these in the video.
I'll stick to refinishing watches and leave the repair/service to others with better eyesight than mine.
Many thanks pal
As others are saying I’m glad to see you here. I stumbled across your channel maybe a month and enjoyed every second of it. Then found out you went missing in action. So it’s good to see you’re still with us 🎉
You're back!! Hurrah! 👍
Good to hear from you again!
Thanks for sharing another quality and informational video on the sturdy ETA 2824. I will also shamelessly plug your watchmaking course. Having just finished your chronograph course and previously your other 3 courses that effortlessly guided me from complete noob to fearlessly servicing mechanical chronographs. I can testify to the stunning quality and thoroughness of your courses. There is nowhere online or off that compares to the price or benefit of your work. I do not blush when I say it is literally a magnum opus to the watchmaking community. Cheers.
Hello Chris
Great to see a new one from you Mark.
Cheers pal - appreciate that
@@WatchRepairChannel it was good the movement escaped damage. 3 cheers for that o ring. 😁
Great to see you back at it friend! How i wish you were living close to me! Very hard to find a competent watch repairer where i reside...
*Among many skilled & talented watchmakers who demonstrate their talents on Yewey Toobie, Mr Lovik you are the best. Clear speaking voice, excellent pronunciation (I’m not British either, yet you are easier to understand than most of my fellow countrymen) you are supremely talented as a watchmaker and your video & audio are the best among many good watchmaker videographers. BOY OH BOY, AM I HAPPY YOU’RE BACK.*
Good to hear your voice again! Was really worried (you know COVID and so…). Greetings from Northern Germany
Hello Rene
Simply superb in every aspect. And I envy the steadiness of your hands.
I could sit and watch you working for hours. You make it all look so easy. Welcome back.
Hello Michael
@@carolwilliams9a0 Hello Carol
Welcome back Mark, great to see your work again.
Hey old friend! Happy to see you post again!
20 seconds in but I have to say, it’s very nice to have you back! Now, back to the video…
I have now watched the video and I can say sir, without hesitation, you are a true craftsmen. Fantastic!
@@ravusursi893 Thank you :)
Hi Mark, happy to see you back and the chronograph coarse sounds very good, this was a nice little watch, had my favourite hand set, lovely thank you.
You´re back! I´ve missed you :-) Now to watching.
I feel like I haven't seen a new video from you for so long. So nice to see one again!
Even without watching the video, I like a working person. Hello from Russia.
Good to see you back
He’s back! Great to hear your voice!
So glad to see you back... seems life everywhere is getting back to normal...
Thought I was seeing things...
Mark is back and not a moment too soon... ⌚🧐👍
Missing the iconic soft relaxing background music, but
no matter..
This is the beginning of a great new era of superb watch
repair. It's just like Christmas without the Tree..😉👍
🎄
Good lord, he's back!
Welcome back!!!
You were sorely missed!
Magnificent video. So happy to see it. What sort of animal wears a leather strap in the shower? Lol! I never cease to be amazed at people’s lack of mechanical sympathy for delicate machines. I don’t recall seeing nylon tipped tools before on your channel. Are they new?
Great to see your making new videos, I just recently purchased your 3 course bundle along with an old bravington ww2 military pocket watch and some tools to begin my new hobbies. Thanks for the inspiration and the help
A beautiful movement. Great job.
Glad to see you back. Thanks for sharing.
welcome back sir ! been a fan since your old omega 2500 / 2892A2 service videos
Cannot believe how steady your hands are. Amazing. I started shaking in fourth grade. No watch making her surgery for me
Welcome back!!! Thanks for the great video! Look forward to your on-going presence on the interwebs.
There are no better watch repair videos. Bravo !
I know that you have to have steady hands as a watch maker/repairer. But Mark has such steady hands that I'd trust him as a surgeon!
So nice to have you back Mark! Yet again another beautiful restoration of a very gorgeous time piece! Thank you.
Great to see you back Mark. Although not even an amateur watch repairer I've learned so much about mechanical watches from your videos, which are most interesting and educational. Dare I say I think I'm not lacking useful knowledge of mechanical watches of different brands and their movements etc. Great knowledge if buying a watch I think!
Great to have the number one watch repairer back on utube. Excellent as always. Mark keep well from NZ.
Glad (and thankful) to see you back.
Welcome back Mark. So nice to see you back with your fantastic videos. So much information you provide while assembling the movement. Hope to view many more such videos.
Great to have you back. Terrific video, thank you.
Welcome back!
Welcome back Mark! Great to see you back at it, inspiring me and thousands of people!
The return of the king! It's been too long, Mark. PS, I couldn't stop giggling when I saw how you slid the click spring in place in one go after watching every single tinkerer try time and again to jam it in from the top and have it ping away, lucky to find it again. Thanks for my laugh for the day.
😁😁
Deft. He's very deft in his handling of the fiddly bits. *
* One does not often get to use that word in a sentence, so thank you Mark. :D
welcome back, I nearly fell off the chair when I heard your voice, please don't leave it another year until your next video.
Great to see you back, you have been missed
Welcome back sir! Great to see another of your servicing videos. One of the best on RUclips and was my go to channel when developing my interest in mechanical watches back in 2017.
Wow! A whole new set of fancy tools you got there!
Happy to hear from you again 🍻 cheers
So happy you are alive !!!!
Nice to see you back on RUclips. Thank you. :-)
Good to have you back. I was wondering why I hadn't seen one of your excellent videos in a while.
Yes, looking forward to your new video for a long time, hope you are doing well. Some new tools were being used in this video, great job.
YESSSSS!!!!!! ALIVE AND KICKING!! --back again to show us all simple mortals how watchmaking is made in LEVEL GOD. . . . nice and really really pleasant to know you are just fine!!! Yes! RUclips is getting normal, finally! Great to see your new video
GREAT CAESAR'S GHOST!!!! He's back!!! Great to see you again Mark! I've been waiting for this for what seems for ever. Great work as always. I look forward to each and every one of your videos. God bless!
Superb video quality (sharply focused). A pleasure to watch.
Great to have you back Mark. Thanks
Welcome back! I have appreciated the demystification and illumination of watches on your channel after finding your channel maybe two years ago.
It looks like I'm not the only one missing your videos a lot. I can see new tools, new camera lenses and improved lighting. The only thing I keep missing is the very good music on the background.
Thank you very much for coming back! I will think about getting this course of yours.
welcome back! your content has been missed😢
I find the quality of the cinematography quite impressive. Thank you for a very enjoying video. And welcome back to RUclips.
Great to see you back Mark. You're such an inspiration to so many.
Very kind of you to say. Thanks
Glad to see you back! Also happy to hear you were advancing your tutorial business in the mean time. Great content here as always!
Good to see and hear from you again. And as always: Great video! Thanks!
Great to see you back Mark!! Been missing your watch repair wizardry.
Welcome back Mark. Hope to see more videos from you soon.
Absolutely GREAT to see you back with a video Mark!!
New to the hobby but planning on taking your course. Well done and thank you Mark.
Your close up shots are quite crisp and clear. Very effective photography!
The most relaxing videos on RUclips. I always love the point where the movement springs to life when you install the balance assembly 😊.
He is back!
