fun snake fact just for anyone who's curious, a lot of venomous snakes won't actually waste their venom when biting a human. This is called a 'dry bite' or sometimes it's referred to as being 'tagged.' Venom is a part of their digestive system, and it's physically very expensive to make and use so they won't generally waste it on something they know they can't eat, such as a human. Please note, this doesn't always happen. Some snakes DO inject venom and baby snakes in particular are a lot more likely to, as they don't have the same kind of control an adult would.
KatDoesStuff this is cool! I find snakes very interesting and just very cool!!! A triangular head is venomous for the venom glands and a smooth head is not but both are dangerous as bacteria from the teeth also get into the wound.

The impulse to jump is a natural human impulse, 'the call of the void' is what it tends to be referred to as , we have the urge to jump off of high buildings because our brains see it as the easiest way out in the situation.
I doubt it's a hidden death drive. It's probably just your brain confused at why you want to be so close to a drop that can kill you and so concludes that you want go there or some shit. I never want to jump off a cliff or never recognised myself having any urge to, so I don't know exactly.
I think you have a fear of snakes, if not that then of spiders. Not just because they are the most common, but the way you talked about the other three gave me the impression that you don't have those fears
Yeah, she talked about spiders in a way that made it seem like she really did her homework on that one, and even made me fear spiders a little more too. On the other hand, she did have a frightening experience with a snake once, so it could easily be that too.
I think she's scared of spiders because she said that she wasn't scared of the snake and was actually fascinated by it til it bit her but I do see where you're coming from though, also there's a lot of deadly spiders where she live but also snakes so it's just a guess.
I just want to remind everyone that there's a difference between just being scared of something, and having a phobia. I'm scared of heights, snakes, spiders ect but I have claustrophobia, where just being close to an elevator makes my throat start closing up. Having a phobia sucks and sometimes can control your whole life.
I fully agree, I'm afraid of rats so when I think abut about it I might shudder or something, having a phobia is different I have Pediophobia its the fear of dolls n' stuff, for me its mannequins any doll with big eyes s when I think of those I start breathing heavy, my hands will shake, I become more alert its much different and much worse
So true, I have phobia of slugs and caterpillars and claustrophobia too, it sucks, I can't take those crawling jelly beings out of my mind lately and I panic everyday just by thinking about it.

you seem like travis miles from fallout 4, he thinks he will fail at everything so he does. but he has made friends who help him, so he helps them and he gets confidence. a way that could help you is to realize the odds of if you will fail vs if you will succeed. if you ignore the consequences, or if you think about them, they probably won’t be that bad. if they are, just stay calm. you probably heard that but it will help you. example: you’re putting away dishes. what would happen if you dropped one? people will get mad, sure, but how likely will that happen? probably not very likely. you can always tell someone, and if they don’t care… it’s their fault. that’s probably,y just me being petty.

my fear is im very paranoid about my eyes, and i hate seeing eyes being "damaged" and it genuinely makes me feel ill and uneasy. I got a stye once on the inside of my eyelid as a child and felt so unbelievably uncomfortable, was horrifying :s
yeah, I also hate the scene in another (i think) where a girl falls from the stairs and her eye hits the top of the umbrella and... ya know what, nevermind lol
I have a medical thing called chalazeons. Pretty much, every time I get dust or dirt in my eye for too long, I get a scab on the inside of my eyelid and now my eyes have tiny scars
Whenever im near a cat and im in any sort of range of them i always have terrifying thoughts pop into my head like what if they just whip around and claw my eyes out like they could so easily do that so yeah i feel that

Btw, I have an idea for what you could have done for agoraphobia. It could have had multiple heads, due to the fear of crowds, and it could crawl along the ground and drag away its victims, because of the desire to go back to your house.

Is it bad that whenever i hold a knife i get a weird feeling, it’s goes something like this: I wonder what stabbing myself would feel like.... hmmm. Or stabbing someone else.... i’m not suicidal or a psychopath, but- it’s kinda intriguing to know WHAT it would feel like to murder someone, just a strange curiosity. i mean i’ve always had a fascination with death and what lies after we die but- it’s that normal? 😂
I actually have none of these fears but I do have the strange phobia of mirrors and reflections, it's really terrifying and not many people have it so they just think I'm being over dramatic.
I don't like looking into mirrors because a) I hate the way I look (I look like a 12-year old and I'm almost 17) and b) I feel stared at and c) I always have the feeling that there is something hiding where I can't see it and mirrors make me feel even more uncomfortable because I see so much but I don't see... the thing..
Someone Unknown It's called Catoptrophobia(Fear of mirrors) or Spectrophobia (involves fear of mirrors but this is more because of a fear of ghosts or just a fear of ghosts). I have it too, it's awful.
I have a fear of bees, though its toned down a lot as I’ve gotten older. When I was a little kid, I used to panic whenever I saw them. If I could, I would just run, and there have been times when I would break down crying from them. Today, I still have that fear, and I still run out of impulse if one gets close to me, but I can handle it a lot better than I could as a kid. I also have a fear of touching bugs. I‘m fine being around most of them, but I’ve always had a bad fear of touching them, even if they are harmless.
I have a small fear of heights. But the thing is: I can ride a Ferris wheel and be totally fine but if I try to walk over a dead tree over a small creek, I freak out. I don’t know why.. *Weird..* I also have a small childish fear of the dark. But the thing is: I’m not scared of just the dark like in general. It’s just *What’s in the dark* *scares me...* Maybe I watch too make creepy pastas/ real scary stories and/or real ghosts encounters.. *•~•*
Im i the only one who has thalassophobia? Its the fear of the sea...i cant and wont go in the water if i cant see whats under me, it makes me want to cry and scream... just thinking about it is making me sick, its a horrible feeling.
I'm really afraid of heights like literally one time I was watching a video and in one of the parts it showed people really high up on the roof of tall buildings and I felt so sick that I hurled (gagged/threw up) 😖😳
5:43: Yes, I've felt it before, in "consious" dreams (words to describe this are hard to find) and I've actually jumped. Many times. Thankfully, they were just dreams.
I have several phobias and all but one have been brought on from vivid nightmares (long story short, someone stuck a snake right in my face when I was about 6 or 7 and I've been wary around them ever since). I believe my worst is acrophobia, as it can literally render me an immobile mess, unable to think clearly or really even speak, and I may even lose the ability to stand; as my knees will feel like they've turned to gelatin, my legs will shake uncontrollably, and if I don't have something solid to hold onto, I'll just slump to the floor. I believe the fear comes from the Call of the Void, rather than the fear of falling, as it's frightening to look down a stairwell or over a balcony, or even just out an open window, and have that muscular impulse to move while a little voice whispers, "Jump," at the back of my mind.
My phobias: Achluophobia - A fear of darkness Algophobia - A fear of pain Autophobia - A fear of isolation Basophobia - A fear of falling while walking down steep places, not a fear of heights, though Claustrophobia - A fear of being closed in/trapped in a small space with no escape Hypnophobia - A fear of sleeping and having nightmares. This got so bad that I would never sleep almost because of my sleep paralysis. Taphophobia - Fear of being buried alive
i actually have that impulse hence why i have a slight fear of heights.... it's kinda weird when you think about it. i'm also afraid of like those deep waters where you can't see the bottom...
You explained the Call to the Void thing really well! I have it, but I also do lots of rock climbing which is actually a defect over it. For example, sometimes when I’m doing bouldering practice (climbing without a rope, there’s usually a mat under you), when I get really high I just feel the urge to fall down and I think that there’s just going to be another rope to catch me, even ifi’m being told to downclimb a little bit before falling. One time I actually got kicked out of a rock climbing team because of that exact incident that happened at bouldering practice, and also the fact that I never really wanted to climb up. Also I have the phobia of holes and the phobia of silence. It’s kind of annoying when people ask “how” I have the fears I have. I mean, if you don’t have the fear of holes and you don’t understand it, that’s normal, but after a while it just gets really annoying.
I sometimes feel the urge to jump even though there’s no pressure against me other than school work,I can’t explain it’s just that like it’s so simple to do, and people wouldn’t expect me to do it so it isn’t like they could stop me. Idk :/
Claustrophobia, fear of small spaces. Now, I'm perfectly fine in elevators, mostly because I used them before I got the fear. But windowless rooms scare the heck out of me, I can't stand them, I'll start freaking out internally whilst trying to remain calm visibly. I'm not sure why I'm claustrophobic but my god most small places just terrify me.
yes! exactly one time I was at my siblings house and there lock on the bathroom door is quite complicated and i ended up locking myself in that tiny. Windowless. room and I FREAKED OUT I started screaming, crying and desperately trying to unlock the door and my sibling ended up having to picklock the door to get me out. I try to tell my friends and they thought I was an idiot just because they don't suffer from it ._.
I am the opposite. I HATE open places. Just thinking, anyone in that crowed noisy room, could turn around and hurt you. I would be perfectly happy in a small dimly lit room.
6:06 When you were talking about the fear of heights, and saying "looking down from up above" you could do something like a type of monster reaching up to grab you or something XP. I love you btw, i always get so excited when you post^^ keep up the good work
Whenever I get that feeling, I have a tendency to laugh it off and think about a book/movie where someone DID jump off a cliff. Those are very convincing
Her: *brings up wanting to jump off of things* Me: I actually committed to one of those thoughts once... It hurt => but at least I think a little more now even though I **Always** have that impulse
I had a dream that I jumped down my stairs and asking my parents what happened thinking it was real they were confused:/ but I have that feeling to jump down my stairs ( 3 story house- and other 3 story )
My sister joked about jumping across onto a rock from high up that you probably wouldn't make, and now every time I'm in that area I get an impulse to do that.
the reason you want to jump off of a high place is because the brain wants to back away from the edge of a high place but because the person isn't moving back the brain figures that you 1. are being pushed or forced to say in that place or 2. you want to jump for what ever reason
I get the weird impulse to jump off of high distances and I promise I’m not suicidal. Actually once I was standing over a very deep pond. I knew how deep it was to and yet I kinda just hoped on in and almost drowned, and to this day I still don’t know why I did that
"The Void" idea is something that I came into contact with when I was about 16 years old. Before this, I never had issues with heights, but we were something like 14 floors up in a hotel with a vast, open space that every floor looked down through into the hotel lobby...and, not only did I feel this "pull of the void" for the first time in my life, but I also "saw" phantom images of other people jumping into it. I still see these images and feel that thrilling impulse to jump and I turned 30 this year. Anything over 2 stories becomes a problem for me for this reason.

fun snake fact just for anyone who's curious, a lot of venomous snakes won't actually waste their venom when biting a human.

Hannah Spanna that's interesting!
aka nature wants us to kill ourselves, and it should! humans are horrible creatures.
Ya it's the strongest decision we can make in the moment so it's appealing to our brains!

Walrus The Tree, that's exactly what I thought

For some reason, I have an extreme, almost irrational fear of responsibilities. This isn’t a joke, whenever I get entrusted with something important I just get so much anxiety and fears of messing it up because I know I will, I’ve done it before so....
you seem like travis miles from fallout 4, he thinks he will fail at everything so he does. but he has made friends who help him, so he helps them and he gets confidence.
a way that could help you is to realize the odds of if you will fail vs if you will succeed. if you ignore the consequences, or if you think about them, they probably won’t be that bad. if they are, just stay calm. you probably heard that but it will help you. example:
you’re putting away dishes. what would happen if you dropped one? people will get mad, sure, but how likely will that happen? probably not very likely. you can always tell someone, and if they don’t care… it’s their fault. that’s probably,y just me being petty.

Oh.. ;-;
My phobias:
Achluophobia - A fear of darkness
Algophobia - A fear of pain
Autophobia - A fear of isolation
Basophobia - A fear of falling while walking down steep places, not a fear of heights, though
Claustrophobia - A fear of being closed in/trapped in a small space with no escape
Hypnophobia - A fear of sleeping and having nightmares. This got so bad that I would never sleep almost because of my sleep paralysis.
Taphophobia - Fear of being buried alive
I have tryphobia
The fear of a small group of holes
I have Algophobia-
I have all but the first 2…
I have too many phobias to list down.
i actually have that impulse hence why i have a slight fear of heights.... it's kinda weird when you think about it. i'm also afraid of like those deep waters where you can't see the bottom...

The absolute worst combination tbh.
Pixelatra same.
I don't have that fear of needles, but not blood.
I dont lke niddles
Pixelatra | for some reason I love blood.
I love blood it’s so cool
I love snakes but don't like centipedes and milipedes. I think they have too many legs for my liking...
Same!
I have three snakes, so I can’t really be afraid of them ._.
Da Dragon Durp so basically you're afraid of legs?
Yep. Exactly. There’s just too many.
Da Dragon Durp
same
I sometimes feel the urge to jump even though there’s no pressure against me other than school work,I can’t explain it’s just that like it’s so simple to do, and people wouldn’t expect me to do it so it isn’t like they could stop me.
Idk :/
i hate school work
Ya I feel that same feeling sometimes
Claustrophobia, fear of small spaces.
Now, I'm perfectly fine in elevators, mostly because I used them before I got the fear. But windowless rooms scare the heck out of me, I can't stand them, I'll start freaking out internally whilst trying to remain calm visibly. I'm not sure why I'm claustrophobic but my god most small places just terrify me.
I *hate* open/crowded spaces, hate elevators and prefer to be closed off but l can agree with the window thing. Its creepy.
yes! exactly one time I was at my siblings house and there lock on the bathroom door is quite complicated and i ended up locking myself in that tiny. Windowless. room and I FREAKED OUT I started screaming, crying and desperately trying to unlock the door and my sibling ended up having to picklock the door to get me out. I try to tell my friends and they thought I was an idiot just because they don't suffer from it ._.
I am horrified with crawling through small things
I am the opposite. I HATE open places. Just thinking, anyone in that crowed noisy room, could turn around and hurt you. I would be perfectly happy in a small dimly lit room.
Small places, elevators are fine but anything smaller than that hell to the fuck no
I always feel like throwing something valuable when up high

I have both of those because my dad told me if I paid for everything I could have whatever pet I want!! Try that instead of just asking!
I am horrified by unstable heights. High ropes are literally the definition of my worst possible fear.
same if i was on high ropes or saw someone on high ropes i would probably pass out or die XD
I once had to go to a ropes course for a school field trip. I almost had a panic attack
@@shadowprincess3724 same thing happened to me but it happened twice and I DID have a panic attack😂

" Just yesterday you were crying about snakes! " ~Gumball

Same
I have Agroaphobia
Dude ocean is like my worst fear
I'm not scared of it unless I think about it a bit, about all the terrifying stuff about it
6:06 When you were talking about the fear of heights, and saying "looking down from up above" you could do something like a type of monster reaching up to grab you or something XP. I love you btw, i always get so excited when you post^^ keep up the good work
I'm afraid of heights because like you said the weird feeling to jumping off. whenever I'm in a high place I always have that feeling.
crazy kitteh
Me too
same here
Whenever I get that feeling, I have a tendency to laugh it off and think about a book/movie where someone DID jump off a cliff. Those are very convincing
Same its very nerve wrecking...

Her: *brings up wanting to jump off of things*
Me: I actually committed to one of those thoughts once... It hurt => but at least I think a little more now even though I **Always** have that impulse
I had a dream that I jumped down my stairs and asking my parents what happened thinking it was real they were confused:/ but I have that feeling to jump down my stairs ( 3 story house- and other 3 story )
I fell out the window qwq and that’s what started my fear of heights because I was afraid that I might fall-
My sister joked about jumping across onto a rock from high up that you probably wouldn't make, and now every time I'm in that area I get an impulse to do that.
Everytime I go up high I just wanna let myself fall I don't know why I don't even wanna die I can't actually climb a ladder because of that.
Why do you have a snake as your profile picture
the reason you want to jump off of a high place is because the brain wants to back away from the edge of a high place but because the person isn't moving back the brain figures that you 1. are being pushed or forced to say in that place
or 2. you want to jump for what ever reason
woah
No it's because it's you instinct telling you to act in the way that would make you seem strongest
Thanks! I had no idea!! 🙃
FireFox Camille you brain wants to do the most extreme thing that you can do at that moment. Which is to jump.
Rainbow Dram that was what I was saying, sorry if I didn't word it in that exact way but it is what I mean
I had agoraphobia, finally better, but wow I had no idea it was one of the most common... nice to know I'm not alone 😊
YoAntoNeo same. It was thanks to a really friendly dog at my friend's housethat i got rid of it
Wot one doe?
YoAntoNeo I thought the most common one would be the dark
I'm in my 20's and I can't go outside the house by myself. I have to have someone with me at all times, it sucks.
Existential Crisis I didn't get better until I was about 21, so I feel you
I get the weird impulse to jump off of high distances and I promise I’m not suicidal. Actually once I was standing over a very deep pond. I knew how deep it was to and yet I kinda just hoped on in and almost drowned, and to this day I still don’t know why I did that
I love this! It gave me lots of inspiration for a story, actually, but I don't want to steal your idea. I hope to draw like you some day!
My phobia is checking my bank account 🤷♀️
XD
So Bankaphobia
Shamim Khan YES
I'm afraid of the dark :D ...well, afraid of what's in the dark..
Bucket Of Randomness nothing except everything that was there before it was dark :'0
Bucket Of Randomness same
I am waiting for you in the dark
SAME
Same, it feels like the walls are closing in on me and that something will grab my legs and pull me into a death trap...
