A Horror story of Tangled that I came up with: There was once a little girl named Rapunzel. She was the royal family's only child, and she was a kind and loving freind. Her parents were often busy, but she loved them dearly. One day, however, a witch kidnapped her, erasing her memories and using a magical hairbrush to grow her hair long and magical. The hair was able to heal wounds, glow, and it was stronger than normal hair. The witch acted like Rapunzel's mother. She trapped her in a tower, to "protect her", always justifying it with the phrase, "Mother knows best". Rapunzel loved the witch, and relied on her for nearly everything. Food, water, entertainment, company. However, the witch was often out, and Rapunzel was lonely. Many years later, while the witch was out, a man named Flynn Rider came to Rapunzel's tower. Rapunzel, thinking he was the witch, let down her hair for him to climb. Upon seeing Flynn, she was not scared. She was delighted to see a new person other than witch. Flynn Rider was entranced by the beautiful woman in front of him, and stayed with Rapunzel for a few days. In that time, they became fast freinds. Possibly even more. Rapunzel felt as if she had found a sense of purpouse. However, Flynn soon had to leave, as he heard from Rapunzel that the witch would be coming back soon. Rapunzel was delighted at the idea of the two meeting, but Flynn was horrified at the mention of the witch. He did not want to see the heartbreak on Rapunzel's face when she heard he was leaving, so at midnight, he fled the tower. When Rapunzel woke up, Flynn was nowhere to be found. She was devastated, and cried to the witch when she came back. The witch comforted poor Rapunzel, and decided to erase her memories of him. She soon forgot the man named Flynn Rider, and her sense of purpose was lost. Meanwhile, Flynn returned to the kingdom. He scheduled a meeting with the king. At this time, there was a new royal family, for the past one had died of greif. Flynn told them of a girl named Rapunzel, with long, golden hair, trapped in a tower. He told of a witch, who was the one who trapped the girl in. The king was furious. In the kingdom, witches were seen as evil beings who must be killed. He soon sent out guards, and Flynn, who were to find the witch and kill her. One beautiful afternoon, the witch was out collecting food for Rapunzel. Their stocks were running low, and Rapunzel was craving berries. There was a berry bush near the foot of the tower, and Rapunzel wanted those. When her back was turned, the guards and Flynn attacked. Flynn stabbed the witch in the back, and killed her. However, as she died, she let loose a blast of magic, intending to kill those around her. Flynn Rider was killed, along with all but one guard. The guard fled back to the kingdom, severly injured. Rapunzel was also hit, as the blast extended to high above the trees. She collapsed, almost dead. Her life flashed before her eyes. She suddenly remembered. Her parents, her real ones, and her freinds. The kingdom. Flynn. As she regained consciousness, she gasped. She scrambled to the window, and saw the dead people. The witch, and Flynn Rider were among the bodies. Rapunzem felt as if her whole world was crashing down. She collapsed on the floor, overcome with greif. She sobbed on the ground, for days. When she finally grasped her senses, she was unbearably hungry. She stumbled to the pantry, but there was barely any food. The food that was left had gone bad. Rapunzel felt a strong pain in her stomach. Her mouth was dry. She was slowly dying from starvation and dehydration. She knew she could.attempt the climb down her tower, but she would most likely fall and die. There was nothing Rapunz could do. Days passed. She withered away on the floor in agony. She would surely die soon. The day came. She was on the edge of death. It was painful. As Rapunzel writhed around and screamed, she got tangled in her long hair. Even as she was dying, her hair was not. It glowed, and desperately tried tk save Rapunzel. And it succeeded. She shakily stood. Oh, she was still so, so hungry. Unbearably thirsty too. But she was alive. A walking corpse. A maiden once so beautiful, now turned into a frail figure. Rapunzel considered jumping out of her tower window, but decided not to. She would live on for her loved ones. Meanwhile, going back to the time of the witch's death, a single guard ran home, collapsing at the castle. They had barely enough energy to annouce they had killed the witch, and they soon died. The kingdom celebrated! The king assumed Flynn and the guard had stayed behind with Rapunzel. Stories were told of a beautiful woman who was taken by a witch. She had golden hair that was a long as the tower she lived in. Young heroes, children, and knights wished to find this girl and befreind her. They did not know the fate of poor Rapunzel. People across the world would search for Rapunzel's tower. Let us see what would happen to the ones who did. "Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair!", they would cry. Rapunzel would let down their golden hair, and they would climb up. Little did they know, they would be greeted with the sight of a pale corpse, who would lunge at then. Rapunzel trapped them beneath her dirty hands. She needed a freind. But she was so hungry. Thirsty. She craved food. And her victims looked so appetizing. So she ate them. They screamed and thrashed but they could escape their fate. As Rapunzel feasted, she whispered, "Mother knows best.".

I feel that Riley would have been better in the 'asylum' genre. Okay, hear me out; If you think about it, Riley should be able to hear the emotions in her head, right? Anyone who's seen the movie remembers the scene where they're planning out her room in the new house, and the emotions are all talking at once while Riley just nods and smiles. My personal idea was that she would eventually go insane as she got older, her emotions constantly shouting and arguing in her head, and it would only get worse when they move to the new house. She finally snaps after their first dinner at the house, the one where we're introduced to her parent's emotions, and when she storms up to her room she tries to find something, _anything_ to let her anger out, eventually setting on killing a mouse in the room by snapping its neck. The emotions, horrified at what Riley just did, would stand there in silence. This would encourage Riley to kill more and more as it was the only thing to get the voices to stop, until it gets so bad she kills her parents and is taken to a mental asylum after the neighbors call the cops on her. Riley would go crazy there, the emotions terrified and screaming in her ears, until one day she can't take any more and bangs her head on the wall until her skull breaks. That's what I would think would be a good creepy movie. tl;dr Riley goes crazy from the arguing voices in her head and resorts to murder to get them to stop Or maybe that's just me, idfk. Tangled is easy- in Tangled: The Series we get the decay incantation, that will destroy and kill anything it comes into contact with, turns her hair and eyes solid black, and is all-around creepy as hell.
I feel like for Tangled you could've put her hanging herself with her own hair and call it "Strangled." Edit: Okay so I'm gonna make this more detailed. There's this girl kidnapped from her parents when she was a baby and put in a tower for her whole life (just like in the movie) And evrey year that passes she gets more insane she gets in an argument with her "mother" because she doesn't let her go outside and strangles her to death with her hair. She then leaves the castle and goes crazy she strangles evreyone that's possible she even seduces men (including Flynn Rider.) from her tower with her golden hair and once they enter she strangles them. (This part was inspired from Burrito.) She then realized she's a phycopath and feels guilt and anger at herself. She's disgusted at her own self. She then punishes herself by ending her own life with her own hair.

Tbh Wreck-It Ralph could have worked as slasher title. Also for inside out, I could imagine that would translate well into a Lovecraftian, psychological, body horror movie about a young girl slow descent into madness due to the societal pressure to be happy all the time and repress all negative emotions.

i thought of another story for tangled! Since the hair is magic, it could like do magic stuff and move around so it would wrap up people and strangle them n stuff.. and she always is humming and singing creepy songs she made herself and thats what activates the magic in the hair. And if you try to cut it not at the root, then it immediantly grows back and attacks the person who tried to cut it. With the grandmother, im thinking of her actually being forced to take her away so she would not hurt the rest of her village and family. The grandmother would eventually be killed by her when she was being too strict. It probably sounds kinda stupid, but its what i thought! maybe she turns the people she kills into lanterns.
It's so cartoon-ish that it's difficult to make it anything other than loveable, but I think it actually works well in scary drawings. The oddly large eyes and strange proportions suddenly look less cute and more unsettling. It's awesome!
I feel like with the Rapunzel one I can make a story, so here we go; Long ago near Rapunzel's Tower a man went missing, his name was Flynn Rider. Now years after that incident 3 men went to explore on their own without any police or safety, what they found was a broken down tower with cracks, chips and blood stains.... The first man was nervous, the second man was bold and excited, and the final man? He wasn't there anymore. "Theodore!? Theodore where are you!? This is getting serious!!" The second brother shouted, "Hey! Jack! Get down from there you don't know what's up there!" But Jack barely heard him for he was way up in the vines and leaves, the first thing he did when he got to the top was yell down to Max, but Max wasn't there, neither was Theodore... "Wimps" Jack thought, he hopped into the tower and immediately noticed the putrid smell, like something was rotting next to him... He was right, 3 bodies, 2 human 1 animal, "Flynn?" He whispered, but as he got closer he saw Flynn, the once egotistical yet charming guy was deformed and half of his face was missing, next he saw an older woman, maybe a stranger? She had dark hair and pale skin, yet you could see her intestines and everything except her heart... The third creature was a chameleon? Jack thought that was weird, he thought everything was fine with it (apart from being dead) but then he realized the chameleon's heart was gone to. Now that he thought of it Flynn's heart was gone too.... "This is getting weird" Jack said, he heard a noise so he went upstairs, bad decision, for what he saw were his brothers Theodore and Max, laying there cold and without a heart, again he heard a noise, but what was it? And where was it coming from? Then he realized someone was crying, he followed the noise to the top floor of the tower, there was a girl, all chained up with long, and I mean long, blonde hair, as he got closer he realized she wasn't crying, she was singing? And then she lay limp, cold, one eye showing because her hair was covering everything else up, when he got closer and pulled her hair out of the way he saw that she didn't have a heart, I don't think she ever had one, and if she did... It was a long time before what happened next, the hair started moving like a snake, it slithered around Jack, he tried to escape but the hair had already tied around his legs, Jack fell and when he looked behind him, the girl was gone.. And so was the hair, he ran downstairs and realized the bodies were gone too, he climbed back down the tower to find his brothers talking, "Jack! Wait, you actually went up there!?" Max asked nervously "Uh yeah, but I don't think you want to go up there.." Jack replied, the brothers were starting to walk home when he heard that song again... Then he realized it was coming from his brother's while they had a big smile on their face.... Sometimes at night you can here Rapunzel singing, with a mix of someone screaming....
To be honest, Inside Out didn't help my anxiety issues. It freaked me out more than anything. The idea of you not being in control of your actions but instead a bunch of parasitic creatures that you were born with since birth control your every action brings my anxiety *through the roof.* I know. I know. I know that it's for kids to understand their emotions better, but those things still put my anxiety to MAX level.
If I were to do a horror version if tangled the name would be strangled and it would be about how to ghost of Rapunzel haunts the tower and enjoys trapping others inside to play with them. Why does she trap them you ask? Well. The story goes she was captive in the tower and had tried to escape many a times before. The evil witch cut off her hair so that she couldn't escape ever again. This led to Rapunzel going insane and eventually hanging herself on the hook outside of the window that the witch used to get up. Since the she now haunts the tower, and traps anyone who goes in, in a act of revenge for the years that she was held trapped.
i just need to say this! The swedish title for Silence Of The Lambs is so much creepier! its "When The Lambs Turns Silent" still almost the same but a bit scarier in my opinion D:

Now she is trapped inside her own mind, because of her lonely childhood and terrorizing death. She was burned alive.

There is actually a book about Rapunzels story called Zel where at one point her “mom” punishes her by putting her in a room made of stone with just a bed and no door and only one tiny window and she does try to dig out of the room and rips off her fingernails and just generally messes up her fingers but yeah it’s a more realistic, darker version of rapunzel, I recommend it!
5:40 There's a brazilian writer that did a book full of fairytales but as horror tales i've read it and it's really cool. One tale is a version of Rapunzel's story, it's really creepy and dark, the title is "Samarapunzel". If you want to read, the book is called "Branca dos mortos e os sete zumbis" translating, it would be something like "Deadly Snow White and the seven zombies"

For Rapunzel, I think under her hair it would be a old and wrinkled face. It would be because every time Mother Gothel used her hair it removed Rapunzels beauty. She would get insanely scared of others coming near her, talking about hair or beauty, and looking at peoples faces. She would get jealous of them, their happiness or beauty, then torment them sometimes accidentally other times not until she stole their youth.

Here's the story for Inside Out: A girl named Riley, once normal, started hearing voices in her head. They wouldn't stop. She started to go insane over the years. People called her "a psychopath" or say "stay away from her, she's dangerous!". All the while, she tried to talk to people. Maybe, just maybe, they could help her. But they didn't. They only made things worse. She had trust issues. She couldn't let go of her insecurities. She randomly burst into tears, or as overwhelmed with fear. It's like her emotions were controlling her. After so long of dealing with this, she resorted to self harm. And then, committed suicide. People say that sometimes, Riley is reaching out, and trying to control you. If you ever feel like you cannot control your emotions, Riley is trying to capture you. And bring you to her.
"Riley never passed of to the next realm so now she haunts the ones that could not control themselves waiting to someday get a friend like her, but when they would die they would never stick around "Where are my friends?" if you hear this phrase she's most likely haunting you, waiting for people like her."

Her life flashed before her eyes. She suddenly remembered. Her parents, her real ones, and her freinds. The kingdom. Flynn. As she regained consciousness, she gasped. She scrambled to the window, and saw the dead people. The witch, and Flynn Rider were among the bodies. Rapunzem felt as if her whole world was crashing down. She collapsed on the floor, overcome with greif. She sobbed on the ground, for days. When she finally grasped her senses, she was unbearably hungry. She stumbled to the pantry, but there was barely any food. The food that was left had gone bad. Rapunzel felt a strong pain in her stomach. Her mouth was dry. She was slowly dying from starvation and dehydration. She knew she could.attempt the climb down her tower, but she would most likely fall and die. There was nothing Rapunz could do. Days passed. She withered away on the floor in agony. She would surely die soon.
The day came. She was on the edge of death. It was painful. As Rapunzel writhed around and screamed, she got tangled in her long hair. Even as she was dying, her hair was not. It glowed, and desperately tried tk save Rapunzel. And it succeeded. She shakily stood. Oh, she was still so, so hungry. Unbearably thirsty too. But she was alive. A walking corpse. A maiden once so beautiful, now turned into a frail figure. Rapunzel considered jumping out of her tower window, but decided not to. She would live on for her loved ones.
Meanwhile, going back to the time of the witch's death, a single guard ran home, collapsing at the castle. They had barely enough energy to annouce they had killed the witch, and they soon died. The kingdom celebrated! The king assumed Flynn and the guard had stayed behind with Rapunzel. Stories were told of a beautiful woman who was taken by a witch. She had golden hair that was a long as the tower she lived in. Young heroes, children, and knights wished to find this girl and befreind her. They did not know the fate of poor Rapunzel.
People across the world would search for Rapunzel's tower. Let us see what would happen to the ones who did. "Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair!", they would cry. Rapunzel would let down their golden hair, and they would climb up. Little did they know, they would be greeted with the sight of a pale corpse, who would lunge at then. Rapunzel trapped them beneath her dirty hands. She needed a freind. But she was so hungry. Thirsty. She craved food. And her victims looked so appetizing. So she ate them. They screamed and thrashed but they could escape their fate. As Rapunzel feasted, she whispered, "Mother knows best.".

I feel that Riley would have been better in the 'asylum' genre.
Okay, hear me out;
If you think about it, Riley should be able to hear the emotions in her head, right? Anyone who's seen the movie remembers the scene where they're planning out her room in the new house, and the emotions are all talking at once while Riley just nods and smiles. My personal idea was that she would eventually go insane as she got older, her emotions constantly shouting and arguing in her head, and it would only get worse when they move to the new house. She finally snaps after their first dinner at the house, the one where we're introduced to her parent's emotions, and when she storms up to her room she tries to find something, _anything_ to let her anger out, eventually setting on killing a mouse in the room by snapping its neck. The emotions, horrified at what Riley just did, would stand there in silence. This would encourage Riley to kill more and more as it was the only thing to get the voices to stop, until it gets so bad she kills her parents and is taken to a mental asylum after the neighbors call the cops on her. Riley would go crazy there, the emotions terrified and screaming in her ears, until one day she can't take any more and bangs her head on the wall until her skull breaks. That's what I would think would be a good creepy movie.
tl;dr Riley goes crazy from the arguing voices in her head and resorts to murder to get them to stop

Edit: Okay so I'm gonna make this more detailed. There's this girl kidnapped from her parents when she was a baby and put in a tower for her whole life (just like in the movie) And evrey year that passes she gets more insane she gets in an argument with her "mother" because she doesn't let her go outside and strangles her to death with her hair. She then leaves the castle and goes crazy she strangles evreyone that's possible she even seduces men (including Flynn Rider.) from her tower with her golden hair and once they enter she strangles them. (This part was inspired from Burrito.) She then realized she's a phycopath and feels guilt and anger at herself. She's disgusted at her own self. She then punishes herself by ending her own life with her own hair.

i thought of another story for tangled! Since the hair is magic, it could like do magic stuff and move around so it would wrap up people and strangle them n stuff.. and she always is humming and singing creepy songs she made herself and thats what activates the magic in the hair. And if you try to cut it not at the root, then it immediantly grows back and attacks the person who tried to cut it. With the grandmother, im thinking of her actually being forced to take her away so she would not hurt the rest of her village and family. The grandmother would eventually be killed by her when she was being too strict. It probably sounds kinda stupid, but its what i thought! maybe she turns the people she kills into lanterns.

I feel like with the Rapunzel one I can make a story, so here we go;
Long ago near Rapunzel's Tower a man went missing, his name was Flynn Rider. Now years after that incident 3 men went to explore on their own without any police or safety, what they found was a broken down tower with cracks, chips and blood stains.... The first man was nervous, the second man was bold and excited, and the final man? He wasn't there anymore. "Theodore!? Theodore where are you!? This is getting serious!!" The second brother shouted, "Hey! Jack! Get down from there you don't know what's up there!" But Jack barely heard him for he was way up in the vines and leaves, the first thing he did when he got to the top was yell down to Max, but Max wasn't there, neither was Theodore... "Wimps" Jack thought, he hopped into the tower and immediately noticed the putrid smell, like something was rotting next to him... He was right, 3 bodies, 2 human 1 animal, "Flynn?" He whispered, but as he got closer he saw Flynn, the once egotistical yet charming guy was deformed and half of his face was missing, next he saw an older woman, maybe a stranger? She had dark hair and pale skin, yet you could see her intestines and everything except her heart... The third creature was a chameleon? Jack thought that was weird, he thought everything was fine with it (apart from being dead) but then he realized the chameleon's heart was gone to. Now that he thought of it Flynn's heart was gone too.... "This is getting weird" Jack said, he heard a noise so he went upstairs, bad decision, for what he saw were his brothers Theodore and Max, laying there cold and without a heart, again he heard a noise, but what was it? And where was it coming from? Then he realized someone was crying, he followed the noise to the top floor of the tower, there was a girl, all chained up with long, and I mean long, blonde hair, as he got closer he realized she wasn't crying, she was singing? And then she lay limp, cold, one eye showing because her hair was covering everything else up, when he got closer and pulled her hair out of the way he saw that she didn't have a heart, I don't think she ever had one, and if she did... It was a long time before what happened next, the hair started moving like a snake, it slithered around Jack, he tried to escape but the hair had already tied around his legs, Jack fell and when he looked behind him, the girl was gone.. And so was the hair, he ran downstairs and realized the bodies were gone too, he climbed back down the tower to find his brothers talking, "Jack! Wait, you actually went up there!?" Max asked nervously "Uh yeah, but I don't think you want to go up there.." Jack replied, the brothers were starting to walk home when he heard that song again... Then he realized it was coming from his brother's while they had a big smile on their face....
Sometimes at night you can here Rapunzel singing, with a mix of someone screaming....

To be honest, Inside Out didn't help my anxiety issues. It freaked me out more than anything.
The idea of you not being in control of your actions but instead a bunch of parasitic creatures that you were born with since birth control your every action brings my anxiety *through the roof.*
I know. I know. I know that it's for kids to understand their emotions better, but those things still put my anxiety to MAX level.
If I were to do a horror version if tangled the name would be strangled and it would be about how to ghost of Rapunzel haunts the tower and enjoys trapping others inside to play with them. Why does she trap them you ask? Well. The story goes she was captive in the tower and had tried to escape many a times before. The evil witch cut off her hair so that she couldn't escape ever again. This led to Rapunzel going insane and eventually hanging herself on the hook outside of the window that the witch used to get up. Since the she now haunts the tower, and traps anyone who goes in, in a act of revenge for the years that she was held trapped.

There is actually a book about Rapunzels story called Zel where at one point her “mom” punishes her by putting her in a room made of stone with just a bed and no door and only one tiny window and she does try to dig out of the room and rips off her fingernails and just generally messes up her fingers but yeah it’s a more realistic, darker version of rapunzel, I recommend it!

For the stab it Ralph storyline I immediately thought of the “hillbilly murderer” trope subverted by having Vanelope be a demon-girl controlling him.

5:40 There's a brazilian writer that did a book full of fairytales but as horror tales i've read it and it's really cool. One tale is a version of Rapunzel's story, it's really creepy and dark, the title is "Samarapunzel". If you want to read, the book is called "Branca dos mortos e os sete zumbis" translating, it would be something like "Deadly Snow White and the seven zombies"

For Rapunzel, I think under her hair it would be a old and wrinkled face. It would be because every time Mother Gothel used her hair it removed Rapunzels beauty.
She would get insanely scared of others coming near her, talking about hair or beauty, and looking at peoples faces. She would get jealous of them, their happiness or beauty, then torment them sometimes accidentally other times not until she stole their youth.
I like how Ralph looks like Jason from Friday the 13.! Great job!!

Here's the story for Inside Out:
A girl named Riley, once normal, started hearing voices in her head. They wouldn't stop. She started to go insane over the years. People called her "a psychopath" or say "stay away from her, she's dangerous!". All the while, she tried to talk to people. Maybe, just maybe, they could help her. But they didn't. They only made things worse. She had trust issues. She couldn't let go of her insecurities. She randomly burst into tears, or as overwhelmed with fear. It's like her emotions were controlling her. After so long of dealing with this, she resorted to self harm. And then, committed suicide. People say that sometimes, Riley is reaching out, and trying to control you. If you ever feel like you cannot control your emotions, Riley is trying to capture you. And bring you to her.
"Riley never passed of to the next realm so now she haunts the ones that could not control themselves waiting to someday get a friend like her, but when they would die they would never stick around "Where are my friends?" if you hear this phrase she's most likely haunting you, waiting for people like her."
