Thank you. Your video solved my problem. I tried several times to solve it. I reset my kasa more than once and still did not get the plug to link with Alexa. Your solution was so much simpler than all of the other things I tried. Nothing got the plug linked. Thanks again. Great job on the video. Simple and to the point.
Thanks so much for the video. We had a power outage, and one of my TP-Link smart plugs stopped working. I then discovered the Kasa app and the Alexa link was all messed up. Resetting the skill got it all back online (after I corrected all my plugs, not sure now I had to do that). Away thanks for the help!!!
No longer works. My old router stopped working and I got a new one from Spectrum and I deleted the Kasa plugs from Alexa as well as Kasa and now I am re-adding them. I can get the plug connected in the Kasa app but I cannot get Alexa to locate the devices even though I have connected it to the Kasa app with the "me" in the lower right hand corner (third party apps) and I just did what you suggested here and it did re-connect to the Kasa app when I re-enabled the skill but still says it cannot find the plug that is working and setup in the Kasa app.
I updated the firmware, disabled and re-enabled the skill but that did not work. I also removed the devices from Alexa and still doesn’t work. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
