It is very annoying to have the GSX menu disappear after every menu selection, forcing you to click the GSX icon twice more to continue what you started out to do.
It's such a shame what's happened to Legacy FSX addon makers. FS2Crew uses robovoices. CaptainSim uses default cockpits and physics. GSX uses ancient UI and clunky pathing.
Right?? This day in animation, FS2 crew should have real voices (like it used to already have...) and an animated copilot sitting beside you, reaching out to flip the switches. Animation might be a pipe dream, but real voices should at least be an option in the settings
Absolutely agree with you. Umberto’s attitude sucks to be honest. He is rude, unhelpful and patronising. I pointed that out to him once and to be fair he did agree. But that’s just not good enough when you’re dealing with paying customers. The software simply does not do what he says it does. Sadly I don’t think he’s interested in listening to feedback, so might be waiting a long time for this to be worth buying.
This should all be built into the simulator from the start. Its like having a Bus/Train Simulator and requiring a community add on to get passengers on/off.
About the parking position showing twice. After an update you need to apply again your exclusion list, just search one of your 3rd party airport, you’ll see it back in the left column, put it back in the right column and apply again. (No need to do it for each one)
The whole thing is like a blast from the past, from the 90s, the UI is so incredibly clunky and unintuitive, I have still not been able to create a pushback that works for my standard A10 gate at FSDT LSZH,, the default nose left took me some 50m away from the gate straight and just stopped there. In the manual for refueling 737 they have information that does not correspond to any system in the aircraft. It is incredible they launched something like this.

Sadly I spent my 35 € for this bad piece of software on behalf of other YT Videos-which are (as I know now) pure marketing Videos. Cannot agree your opinion more - and for sure this is my last FSDT-Product, till they bring GSX to the promoted quality.

Their website said this worked with ANY airport. Which is why I bought it, and that statement is not true. I dont want to edit files, I just want to plug and play. Also I have still not been approved for the forum so how can I get support for the bucket load of bugs this software has. Also the Devs are rude and unhelpful. Regret wasting my money on this - oh and if you want to use the follow me car after you land, you have to shut off your engines first. How stupid is that.
You re right. Many bugs. It worked for me with the PMDG 737 but never worked for the FBW A320. And now after trying maybe too many times switching from the PMDG to FBW i now have a problem with my PMDG 737. Unless it s just a coincidence. Anyway i ve given up on using GSX with the FBW and will try to find a solution to my PMDG problems. Good honest video there. As usual. Thank s for posting.
Too critical? You can’t be critical enough of this program that as you say should never be released it’s not ready. I have been very critical of other RUclipsrs who have talked it up. I think GSX pro is probably the worst payware admin to be released so far. Thanks for your honest review.
I absolutely hate the engine you have to run for GSX to work. It used to irritate me in the P3D days and I'm not biting the bullet for a while on this. It screams of "I'm taking your money for an incomplete product that isn't ready for open beta"
There are many inaccuracies here: the first problem about the "jesus christ" pilot comment, it seems to be missing the point that, all over the scene you saw there, the pilot, which is controlled by GSX, was the ONLY thing working. The problem was the Jetway docked on the Service door! Maybe this is not entirely clear but, GSX jetways are JUST replacements for the Asobo models, not unlike LVFR Jetway replacement product, just we supply with a huge number of variations, but there work exactly like default ones and are placed exactly in the same position, which means even if you had the default jetway or any other jetway replacement product, with the same plane in the same position, it would still have docked like that, because that's how the default system works, the jetway tries to dock everywhere it can, even if it's not a passenger door. We tried to tell Asobo that, rather than docking in absurd places (they also dock on the *back* door, in some cases), it would be much better to not dock at all, but they don't see to be very interested. And, since we don't have ANY way to detect where the jetway is, since there's no access from the SDK to the *actual* position of the jetway mouth *after* it has docked, we cannot even know where it has docked. There nothing in the SDK to even tell it HAS docked or not (let alone where), we had to rely on a workaround, because the SDK is telling us if the Hood is extended, that's why we know it must have docked "somehwere", but we don't know where. So we create passenger and pilots HOPING the airplane is parked in a position that resulted the jetway docked on the passenger door, and hope of the best, so in this case, the passengers/pilots were floating in the air, because that's where the jetway was supposed to be, had it docked correctly in the first place, something we don't have any control over, and we don't even know when this happens, because without any data on the jetway actual position *after* it has docked, we cannot generate correct passenger waypoints. In GSX for P3D, we had SODE, so jetways were completely outside the control of the sim, we knew everything about them, so these things couldn't happen. Also, it's not true that if you use 3rd party jetways passengers won't work or you need to create waypoints for them. They will work, just with the same limitation of default, which means we don't know on which door they have docked, just like the default ones.
For me it works on every airport and I've not experienced any bugs when using it, for some planes you have to go on dev mode to adjust some of the ground services. That's pretty much it what I've experienced.

Gavin a great review thanks. GSX is not readly for release and you had the b-lls to say that. I uninstalled it and I must say I had difficulty doing so . I had to use Revo uninstaller to make sure it was all gone. I have purchased it so I will just wait to its if it gets greatly inproved. Its crazy that you need to set up a profile for every airport . Thats the old days !!
Seeing all the character animations, I remembered with amusement the video games of the 90’s where during battles, running soldiers got stuck in door frames. But the first reason why I won't buy this product is fsdreamteam! Several months ago, due to a corrupted SSD, I had to reinstall MSFS and ALL my payware addons. I managed to get everything back easely EXCEPT fsdt Vancouver Airport (CYVR) because "it had been over a year since I purchased the product". It was only after sending several emails through their administrative labyrinth, that I finally had the "privilege" of having a link (good for one download only) to get back my purchase !
with this and few other reviews I have watched in the last 24 hours it just reinforces my rule of waiting a few weeks/months after release before getting new software. I like it, looks like once its sorted out to something worth having, but not yet not by a long way
This is what happens when a developper doesn't make efforts to renew a product and insert a 15 year old technology into a new platform... GSX exists since FSX and didn't change that much. The former version in P3D is ok but has some inconsistencies and lacks of features which could be added with the new possibilities of MSFS. They didn't do that. Worse, the product is full of bogs. It's way too much for such a price !!! Especially when other add-ons do the job while free or less pricey ! This is the perfect example of how a developper can be the leader in a field and loose it because not upgrading to the new times. Hope we will have better with other developpers.

Editing this comment to say that I totally agree with Gav's thoughts. I've not been that impressed with what I've seen so far. on other streams over the weekend, I couldn't be bothered editing all the airports. As for immersion, how much in real life does a pilot see of all the external activities. He's not buzzing about in a drone. He's got his head down setting the mcdu up etc. Yes its good to see the ground equipment for some external pics but if your are going for immersion from the pilots perspective, I personally think its not realistic. Please let me know if I am wrong. Also think it's overpriced as it stands at the moment. People are saying it's not even in a Beta state. I never buy things on day one, I like to see what bugs etc there are first. I might reconsider if it gets updates.

Yes, I had all of the problems you had. I even continued to have many of them after taking the time to completely empty my Community folder to eliminate the conflicts GSX was telling me it was encountering. Finally just uninstalled it. What a waste of time! Honestly, I just don’t understand how developers can justify to themselves charging for half-baked software. Completely unacceptable! Thanks for making this; it may help dissuade many others from wasting their time and money.
Agreed. Uninstalled in unhappy mood. While I understand that there are problems with encrypted content the website said: all airports. And not: MS store airports will have problems. Adding tons of bugs here is my conclusion: beta status if not late alpha. Don‘t buy (now), wait until this bad unfinished port of GSX for FSX is ready.
I agree it's not ready for prime time yet, but with FSDT history of frequent updates especially when major bugs are reported, I'm willing to give them a little time to iron out the rough spots, before I give up on it.
i got a solution for the 2 gates in manchester, so basically when you went to exclude the jetways from 3rd party scenary you can do the same for manchester airport so you just search up EGCC and select it and click on the arrow to remove the additional jetways. i had the same issue in my home airport OBBI where i had 2 gates spawning then i just excluded the airport from the jetways provided by GSX and it worked!
A very fair and accurate review. I was surprised that you got the pushback to work. GsX does not recognise my park brake released in the Fenix A320. VR menu sometimes works sometimes doesn’t I also gave up editing. Too troublesome. In Hong Kong the gates are doubled up but GSX uses different numbers from the real world??!! Aircraft not parked correctly at any stand and as a result jetway doesn’t reach. Often find that I can hear catering coming on but no visuals when I go take a look. Sat on stand for nearly an hour waiting for fuel, gave up and used fenix loader. Absolutely no support from Nightmare Team. Not even authorised to access the forum!! Worst add-on thus far.
Always loved GSX. Not sure 'PRO' should be attached to this version..yet, anyway. Similar buggy problems as yourself. Not even sure that [Update] is really updating. Try clicking it yet again. It always goes through the same motions without telling you that no update is necessary. Oh well. Shall just continue waiting. Barty
After a short learning curve, I'm quite satisfied with GSX Pro and i think the reason is I do NOT have any custom airports. I have a limited budget and choose to spend it on global addons only like planes, REX global textures, REX global weather, etc... Correct me if I'm wrong but I see the major issue from these comments is getting GSX (ADDON) to work well with custom airports (ADDON). Some of the companies use methods to get around limitations put forth in MSFS2020. Unless the ADDON companies choose to work together (QA testing) I don't see GSX ever being seamless to the point that a tech noob can configure it.
The problem is you can’t specify the passenger path through GSX jetways or jetways generally. The manuals are annoying, but once you figure it out, it’s ok.
Doncaster payware scenery is brilliant. There are no jetways there IRL as I am sure you know. Always frustrating to see that MSFS put some there. As you said I think GSX needs some refinement.
I agree 100%!!! Why do they think they have the right to replace third party jetways with theirs? You need to edit every airport in order to prevent that? That's just horrible! They should give the option to switch from third party jetway to theirs, not the other way around!!! I have no words for all of the bugs and poor animations. Bad, very bad... it's 2022... don't they know that?
@@peterregan8691 They shouldn't do that! I don't know how is it even legal. Did they get permission from other developers to change their scenery? Now I need to change this with every new airport I buy. I bet I'll forget to do it a lot of times until I'll see the gsx jetways after loading in.
Thanks Gavin - not software I will be purchasing anytime soon. GSX was never very reliable for me in P3D so I am hugely disappointed that it seems no better now for MSFS
First rule of buying any add-on. Don't buy it at the launch. Wait a while before you purchase it so most of the bugs would have been resolved and it's had a few updates.
Absolutely agree so wound up today shouting at my pc not good for my blood pressure. So frustrating not enjoyable. Your so patience but most of us are not. Hope it improves I've binned it for now. Will wait for update. GSX FLOP
Thanks for your realistic look into this package. It's an odd bit of marketing to allow a product to be launched when (as it appears) the developers haven't done much if any pre release research.
A few initial difficulties. But otherwise I am very satisfied. For purchased airports, you can download gsx airport files from flightsim.to and insert them into gsx, then the terminals will also be correct.
@@csyoutubeacc just drop your downloaded files into the folder c:/windows/users/…./app data/roaming/virtuali/GSX/MSFS. The program will read them automatically, nothing else to do.
My experience was slightly different but ended with the same results. Upon installation I couldn't find the manual so I just went in. After seeing your review I decided to start in a non payware Airport Newark KEWR. It worked pretty well. Jetway on the correct side, passengers and crew walked into the plane, Baggage was a cool effect too. Only issue was that the menus came up slow like they were lagging. This became the major issue at the next 2 airports I tried. KLGA and KJFK both handcrafted. KLGA also had missing terminals although I'm pretty sure I know why. The big issue was that the menu refused to pop up so I couldn't see if it worked at all at these airports. I tried going back to Newark but it still wouldn't work. Overall, I liked what I saw when it worked, I hope they work out the kinks. By the way, where is the manual?
Thanks for this honest evaluation. I thought the same as you looking at other streamer’s video: this actually BREAKS the immersion. You are using a “tall” plane. Other steamer had a lower plane where trucks rammed against wings, the pushback pin holder had her head decapitated on the plane fuselage. The passengers have no luggage at all, a thing I have NEVER seen in any flight I have taken. So, after all the hype, I’m a hard-pass on this add-on for the foreseeable future. I am myself a developer and I know the eagerness of having a product delivered into market and have true users giving feedback, but then you don’t charge for that unless you want a lot of angry users. I had all those problems that you mentioned. Then I made an exception of the entire Addon Manager folder into my anti-virus software and also exclusion into Windows firewall. Did a reinstall of everything FSDT. That so far seems to have done the trick. As for the double parking dots I have them too at my local YBBN.
Wow this product seems very very buggy! I was about to buy it but after seeing this behavior, and knowing myself for not having much patience, I will wait sometime before test it. To the question if the product will get better, I am currently not sure about it. As far as I know there a one man show behind this product, and this will surely affect the progress. This explains also why many customers are a bit frustrated with the customer support…
It's half-baked in so many ways. I honestly don't know if this is to be saved, I mean on top of what everyone has already said, FSDT thinks it's intelligent to combine crew boarding with passengers in one routine. I am already sitting in the bloody plane, GPU/APU is running, ordered refueling (which doesn't even work for 737) and catering, and when I request boarding, I see "myself" walking down the jetway (wherevere it works). I have serious doubts about FSDT understanding how things work.
I’ve decided to hold off on buying ANY software until 3 months or more after release. This is unfortunately the norm with developers. Products are rushed out the door. I, personally, am tired of paying for a product and then end up being a beta tester. Just like I’m tired of going to a grocery store and checking out and bagging my own groceries!
GSX should have gone an other way to MSFS2020: 1) sell via marketplace but 2) guarantee to be and really be compatible to products that are created under the MSFS 2020 restrictions, SDK rules etc. and are delivered via marketplace 3) no guarantee regarding other kind of addons, payware which are offered outside the marketplace and (may be) not made under the common rules. For that it should be a bit cheaper and may be started via an Early Access, Alpha -> Beta -> model to be brought to MSFS 2020. Only this way the Devs of GSX could even work together with Asobo for solutions. Only that way nobody would be sad, that it does not work in with any kind of addons, products and the combination of those. GSX like now, will otherwise have the “Windows” problem: one piece of operating software for all kinds of hardware (combinations) and which should work with countless number of software products; that will cause issues. That is why MacOS or Linux feel sometimes (or may be are) superior - specialised OS (esp. MacOS) for an exactly known hardware, limited software or user has to think (Linux). If not supported, it just does not work.
Also, editing passenger waypoints on a gate with a jetway is not done to let passenger walk through the jetways, it's only for those rare cases were you don't want to use a jetway, maybe because it's INOP, so passengers will use stairs and walk on foot on the terminal entrance. A while ago, we only allowed adding pax waypoints on aprons, but users asked to add this feature to jetways as well, because they say *sometimes* it happens in real life, so we added it, because users asked for it.
I totally agree with you. I've purchased a lot of payware airports that from what I hear this product won't work at. So this would be useless to me since I use these airports most of the time. I have this product in my old fsx simulator and I recall some bugs in it then. I do think it has great potential but I think I'm going to wait a while.

this is the same issue as buying the super carrier so I can land like a pro with the tomcat, or any other plane. it's about 30 seconds of the whole flight.
This last week has sucked with GSX, I am a P3D user and since updating my GSX doesn't work my jet bridges disappear when requesting and we have been getting no help. The same things that are happening in MSFS are happening in P3D. I will wait until all the bugs are sorted out with GSX. Thank you for your review and thank you for knowing that I'm not the only one frustrated at the lack of support for this on-going issue.
The product in it's current state is a disgrace and an embarrassment. I'm flabbergasted that payware is allowed to be released like this. It is a real shame because the concept is amazing, and I will keep an eye to see if and when it improves, but the devs have got a lot of work to do to get this to a standard it can be viably used. One thing I will say regarding people blaming GSX for CTS, I think it is a FS2020 issue as many people that don't have GSX, including myself have been getting regular CTS in the last few weeks. Actually to the point it isn't playable, so hopefully that will be sorted out asap.
It's definitely a MS Live/server issue. Just unfortunate that they released it as the server issue hit. Sadly the dev took a lot of flack because of that.
So far i did 2 sector flights the first leg the only issue i had is with the pushback after the push has been done and its time to remove the tug from the aircraft the pushback guy is just stuck there so i had to abort to make them dissapear, the second leg which was a return flight i had 0 issues with the pushback but overall and so far no annoying issues have been incountered
Your review was spot on like some others.... Is this a port from FSX? Good chance it is.... Been on the fence about this until your review... FSDream Team wanted funding to continue this development.... There is never a guarantee this will be 100% or remain 100%.... The way they wrote the disclosure that it was still in "Beta" format removes liability they delivered an incomplete product as they needed cash.... Personally, I think it has backfired on them bigtime.... Your review made me close my clutch and keep my money. Sure, great eye candy but I do not need total frustration.... I use this to fly, not to say look how purty.... Just another attempt at flight simulator cash cows wanting that money.... This should of just been bought by Asobo/MS and incorporated into the hard code of the simulator.
Was waiting for this but I agree, so far its really let me down. The pushback once you work it out works great but it crashes so often, doesn't open when you need it to without pressing a few times. For £30 i expect more of a working product than this tbh. Same to be said with FShud. Also have only completed 1 flight from 5 as I keep getting CTD's, none before I installed it and always during descent. SU10 beta.
The software really does feel uncompleted. So many weird ends where it just stops working and or you get stuck or the menu just disappears and never comes back with no feedback to the user about what happened or is happening.

I've used the follow me car after landing and didn't have to shutdown engines

So we create passenger and pilots HOPING the airplane is parked in a position that resulted the jetway docked on the passenger door, and hope of the best, so in this case, the passengers/pilots were floating in the air, because that's where the jetway was supposed to be, had it docked correctly in the first place, something we don't have any control over, and we don't even know when this happens, because without any data on the jetway actual position *after* it has docked, we cannot generate correct passenger waypoints. In GSX for P3D, we had SODE, so jetways were completely outside the control of the sim, we knew everything about them, so these things couldn't happen.
Also, it's not true that if you use 3rd party jetways passengers won't work or you need to create waypoints for them. They will work, just with the same limitation of default, which means we don't know on which door they have docked, just like the default ones.

For me it works on every airport and I've not experienced any bugs when using it, for some planes you have to go on dev mode to adjust some of the ground services. That's pretty much it what I've experienced.

I absolutely love the P3D version of this addon which is worth every cent. Hoipe the MSFS version catches up soon.

Gavin a great review thanks. GSX is not readly for release and you had the b-lls to say that. I uninstalled it and I must say I had difficulty doing so . I had to use Revo uninstaller to make sure it was all gone. I have purchased it so I will just wait to its if it gets greatly inproved. Its crazy that you need to set up a profile for every airport . Thats the old days !!
Seeing all the character animations, I remembered with amusement the video games of the 90’s where during battles, running soldiers got stuck in door frames. But the first reason why I won't buy this product is fsdreamteam! Several months ago, due to a corrupted SSD, I had to reinstall MSFS and ALL my payware addons. I managed to get everything back easely EXCEPT fsdt Vancouver Airport (CYVR) because "it had been over a year since I purchased the product". It was only after sending several emails through their administrative labyrinth, that I finally had the "privilege" of having a link (good for one download only) to get back my purchase !
with this and few other reviews I have watched in the last 24 hours it just reinforces my rule of waiting a few weeks/months after release before getting new software. I like it, looks like once its sorted out to something worth having, but not yet not by a long way

This is what happens when a developper doesn't make efforts to renew a product and insert a 15 year old technology into a new platform...
GSX exists since FSX and didn't change that much. The former version in P3D is ok but has some inconsistencies and lacks of features which could be added with the new possibilities of MSFS.
They didn't do that.
Worse, the product is full of bogs.
It's way too much for such a price !!! Especially when other add-ons do the job while free or less pricey !
This is the perfect example of how a developper can be the leader in a field and loose it because not upgrading to the new times.
Hope we will have better with other developpers.

I've not been that impressed with what I've seen so far. on other streams over the weekend, I couldn't be bothered editing all the airports.
As for immersion, how much in real life does a pilot see of all the external activities. He's not buzzing about in a drone. He's got his head down setting the mcdu up etc. Yes its good to see the ground equipment for some external pics but if your are going for immersion from the pilots perspective, I personally think its not realistic. Please let me know if I am wrong.
Also think it's overpriced as it stands at the moment. People are saying it's not even in a Beta state.
I never buy things on day one, I like to see what bugs etc there are first.
I might reconsider if it gets updates.

Yes, I had all of the problems you had. I even continued to have many of them after taking the time to completely empty my Community folder to eliminate the conflicts GSX was telling me it was encountering. Finally just uninstalled it. What a waste of time!

Agreed. Uninstalled in unhappy mood. While I understand that there are problems with encrypted content the website said: all airports. And not: MS store airports will have problems. Adding tons of bugs here is my conclusion: beta status if not late alpha. Don‘t buy (now), wait until this bad unfinished port of GSX for FSX is ready.
Most people who like this are newbies, those from P3D and before are really pissed off about it. This was never beta tested at best.

I agree it's not ready for prime time yet, but with FSDT history of frequent updates especially when major bugs are reported, I'm willing to give them a little time to iron out the rough spots, before I give up on it.
that's a futur great addon (still a lot of work to do Like ATC, and just flight traffic) we hope those addons get ready by the end of the year.
i got a solution for the 2 gates in manchester, so basically when you went to exclude the jetways from 3rd party scenary you can do the same for manchester airport so you just search up EGCC and select it and click on the arrow to remove the additional jetways. i had the same issue in my home airport OBBI where i had 2 gates spawning then i just excluded the airport from the jetways provided by GSX and it worked!

I was surprised that you got the pushback to work. GsX does not recognise my park brake released in the Fenix A320. VR menu sometimes works sometimes doesn’t
I also gave up editing. Too troublesome. In Hong Kong the gates are doubled up but GSX uses different numbers from the real world??!!
Aircraft not parked correctly at any stand and as a result jetway doesn’t reach. Often find that I can hear catering coming on but no visuals when I go take a look.
Sat on stand for nearly an hour waiting for fuel, gave up and used fenix loader.

After a short learning curve, I'm quite satisfied with GSX Pro and i think the reason is I do NOT have any custom airports. I have a limited budget and choose to spend it on global addons only like planes, REX global textures, REX global weather, etc... Correct me if I'm wrong but I see the major issue from these comments is getting GSX (ADDON) to work well with custom airports (ADDON). Some of the companies use methods to get around limitations put forth in MSFS2020. Unless the ADDON companies choose to work together (QA testing) I don't see GSX ever being seamless to the point that a tech noob can configure it.

The problem is you can’t specify the passenger path through GSX jetways or jetways generally. The manuals are annoying, but once you figure it out, it’s ok.

Doncaster payware scenery is brilliant. There are no jetways there IRL as I am sure you know. Always frustrating to see that MSFS put some there. As you said I think GSX needs some refinement.
I will give it sometime to improve before buying it. Until then I'll be sticking with GA aircraft and fly the Islander around.

I agree 100%!!! Why do they think they have the right to replace third party jetways with theirs? You need to edit every airport in order to prevent that? That's just horrible! They should give the option to switch from third party jetway to theirs, not the other way around!!! I have no words for all of the bugs and poor animations. Bad, very bad... it's 2022... don't they know that?
It’s one click in the menu to exclude or include your 3rd party airports, so not exactly hard.

Thanks Gavin - not software I will be purchasing anytime soon. GSX was never very reliable for me in P3D so I am hugely disappointed that it seems no better now for MSFS
First rule of buying any add-on. Don't buy it at the launch. Wait a while before you purchase it so most of the bugs would have been resolved and it's had a few updates.
Absolutely agree so wound up today shouting at my pc not good for my blood pressure. So frustrating not enjoyable. Your so patience but most of us are not. Hope it improves I've binned it for now. Will wait for update. GSX FLOP
Thanks for your realistic look into this package. It's an odd bit of marketing to allow a product to be launched when (as it appears) the developers haven't done much if any pre release research.
A few initial difficulties. But otherwise I am very satisfied. For purchased airports, you can download gsx airport files from flightsim.to and insert them into gsx, then the terminals will also be correct.
Could you please explain how to insert into GSX Theo.
@@csyoutubeacc just drop your downloaded files into the folder c:/windows/users/…./app data/roaming/virtuali/GSX/MSFS. The program will read them automatically, nothing else to do.

My experience was slightly different but ended with the same results. Upon installation I couldn't find the manual so I just went in. After seeing your review I decided to start in a non payware Airport Newark KEWR. It worked pretty well. Jetway on the correct side, passengers and crew walked into the plane, Baggage was a cool effect too. Only issue was that the menus came up slow like they were lagging. This became the major issue at the next 2 airports I tried. KLGA and KJFK both handcrafted. KLGA also had missing terminals although I'm pretty sure I know why. The big issue was that the menu refused to pop up so I couldn't see if it worked at all at these airports. I tried going back to Newark but it still wouldn't work. Overall, I liked what I saw when it worked, I hope they work out the kinks. By the way, where is the manual?

Thanks for this honest evaluation. I thought the same as you looking at other streamer’s video: this actually BREAKS the immersion. You are using a “tall” plane. Other steamer had a lower plane where trucks rammed against wings, the pushback pin holder had her head decapitated on the plane fuselage. The passengers have no luggage at all, a thing I have NEVER seen in any flight I have taken. So, after all the hype, I’m a hard-pass on this add-on for the foreseeable future.
I am myself a developer and I know the eagerness of having a product delivered into market and have true users giving feedback, but then you don’t charge for that unless you want a lot of angry users.

I had all those problems that you mentioned. Then I made an exception of the entire Addon Manager folder into my anti-virus software and also exclusion into Windows firewall. Did a reinstall of everything FSDT. That so far seems to have done the trick. As for the double parking dots I have them too at my local YBBN.

Wow this product seems very very buggy! I was about to buy it but after seeing this behavior, and knowing myself for not having much patience, I will wait sometime before test it. To the question if the product will get better, I am currently not sure about it. As far as I know there a one man show behind this product, and this will surely affect the progress. This explains also why many customers are a bit frustrated with the customer support…
I had a couple of CTDs but by far the most disappointing thing was that editor: it's so clunky. Feels like something from the 90s.
It's half-baked in so many ways. I honestly don't know if this is to be saved, I mean on top of what everyone has already said, FSDT thinks it's intelligent to combine crew boarding with passengers in one routine. I am already sitting in the bloody plane, GPU/APU is running, ordered refueling (which doesn't even work for 737) and catering, and when I request boarding, I see "myself" walking down the jetway (wherevere it works). I have serious doubts about FSDT understanding how things work.

I’ve decided to hold off on buying ANY software until 3 months or more after release. This is unfortunately the norm with developers. Products are rushed out the door. I, personally, am tired of paying for a product and then end up being a beta tester. Just like I’m tired of going to a grocery store and checking out and bagging my own groceries!
GSX should have gone an other way to MSFS2020:
1) sell via marketplace but
2) guarantee to be and really be compatible to products that are created under the MSFS 2020 restrictions, SDK rules etc. and are delivered via marketplace
3) no guarantee regarding other kind of addons, payware which are offered outside the marketplace and (may be) not made under the common rules.
For that it should be a bit cheaper and may be started via an Early Access, Alpha -> Beta -> model to be brought to MSFS 2020. Only this way the Devs of GSX could even work together with Asobo for solutions. Only that way nobody would be sad, that it does not work in with any kind of addons, products and the combination of those.
GSX like now, will otherwise have the “Windows” problem: one piece of operating software for all kinds of hardware (combinations) and which should work with countless number of software products; that will cause issues. That is why MacOS or Linux feel sometimes (or may be are) superior - specialised OS (esp. MacOS) for an exactly known hardware, limited software or user has to think (Linux). If not supported, it just does not work.
Also, editing passenger waypoints on a gate with a jetway is not done to let passenger walk through the jetways, it's only for those rare cases were you don't want to use a jetway, maybe because it's INOP, so passengers will use stairs and walk on foot on the terminal entrance. A while ago, we only allowed adding pax waypoints on aprons, but users asked to add this feature to jetways as well, because they say *sometimes* it happens in real life, so we added it, because users asked for it.
I totally agree with you. I've purchased a lot of payware airports that from what I hear this product won't work at. So this would be useless to me since I use these airports most of the time. I have this product in my old fsx simulator and I recall some bugs in it then. I do think it has great potential but I think I'm going to wait a while.

this is the same issue as buying the super carrier so I can land like a pro with the tomcat, or any other plane. it's about 30 seconds of the whole flight.
This last week has sucked with GSX, I am a P3D user and since updating my GSX doesn't work my jet bridges disappear when requesting and we have been getting no help. The same things that are happening in MSFS are happening in P3D. I will wait until all the bugs are sorted out with GSX. Thank you for your review and thank you for knowing that I'm not the only one frustrated at the lack of support for this on-going issue.
The product in it's current state is a disgrace and an embarrassment. I'm flabbergasted that payware is allowed to be released like this. It is a real shame because the concept is amazing, and I will keep an eye to see if and when it improves, but the devs have got a lot of work to do to get this to a standard it can be viably used. One thing I will say regarding people blaming GSX for CTS, I think it is a FS2020 issue as many people that don't have GSX, including myself have been getting regular CTS in the last few weeks. Actually to the point it isn't playable, so hopefully that will be sorted out asap.
It's definitely a MS Live/server issue. Just unfortunate that they released it as the server issue hit. Sadly the dev took a lot of flack because of that.

Apart from that this seems more of a PITA than anything else.
I'm only getting 360p don't know if this has already been brought up but there you go.
So far i did 2 sector flights the first leg the only issue i had is with the pushback after the push has been done and its time to remove the tug from the aircraft the pushback guy is just stuck there so i had to abort to make them dissapear, the second leg which was a return flight i had 0 issues with the pushback but overall and so far no annoying issues have been incountered
I had the same fun with it when it came out. Is it any better hafl a year later? I hesitate instaling it again after the horrible first impressions.
Your review was spot on like some others.... Is this a port from FSX? Good chance it is.... Been on the fence about this until your review... FSDream Team wanted funding to continue this development.... There is never a guarantee this will be 100% or remain 100%.... The way they wrote the disclosure that it was still in "Beta" format removes liability they delivered an incomplete product as they needed cash.... Personally, I think it has backfired on them bigtime.... Your review made me close my clutch and keep my money. Sure, great eye candy but I do not need total frustration.... I use this to fly, not to say look how purty.... Just another attempt at flight simulator cash cows wanting that money.... This should of just been bought by Asobo/MS and incorporated into the hard code of the simulator.
Was waiting for this but I agree, so far its really let me down. The pushback once you work it out works great but it crashes so often, doesn't open when you need it to without pressing a few times. For £30 i expect more of a working product than this tbh. Same to be said with FShud.
Also have only completed 1 flight from 5 as I keep getting CTD's, none before I installed it and always during descent. SU10 beta.
Does it affect my gtx 1650, im using it with medium graphics with the a32nx and i can get around 30fps.....?

The software really does feel uncompleted. So many weird ends where it just stops working and or you get stuck or the menu just disappears and never comes back with no feedback to the user about what happened or is happening.
