  • Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and learn a little bit about javelin throwing. I promise this will not be the last time I huck a spear (nor chug a beer for that matter!) This sport is beautifully simplistic, yet extremely demanding in terms of stress loaded onto the body, finding the right timing and rhythm, and also quite physically demanding as it deals in both raw strength and cardiovascular fitness too! I can't speak highly enough for this unique sport. LET"S GET WEIRD ! :D

I've watch many tutorial on Javelin and NEVER has any of them mentioned flicking your fingers at the throw to keep the javelin from curving. Thanks for that tip!

Thank you very much. Clearly my form isn't anywhere close to perfect, but the straighter I got my front leg and the more open I kept my chest, the further it would go🤘🙏

I only picked up a javelin the other day for the first time in 9 years and I threw it 58 meters, the last time I threw it was when I was 15 and I would throw around 55 meters with the 600 gram
I threw for states all my life until I stopped. Happy to say I still got it! Going to try break that 60 meter this weekend

The very first time I picked up a javelin was when I was 14. It was a mens 800g and I threw it 32m.

Would you be interested in sending me an email of some of your throws? I'm certainly not qualified to provide any professional advice, but I think I have a firm understanding on what the mechanics are and how the form should look. Thanks for the comment! 🥳🦑😁
